You’re comparing two religions as if their doctrines and history are interchangeable, and they aren’t. I’m not blaming every Muslim for what extremists do. I’m saying the ideas themselves can be criticized. And “Christians do bad things too” doesn’t actually refute that. If we’re judging ideologies by what they teach and what happens when those ideas get political, then apply that standard to both. Don’t just point at Christianity whenever Islam gets criticized.

I don’t think consciousness would perceive reality through senses like we do. The senses are part of the experience itself. Its nature would simply be existence itself. There can’t be any substance coming from outside of consciousness because then consciousness wouldn’t be fundamental. It’s the same with existence itself. Either something has always existed or it has a beginning. But a beginning from absolute nothing makes no sense because nothing can’t produce something.
