From Leo's music playlist part 2 -
What happened to you really sucks, man. My meditation teacher at my college recently suggested a book to us all called "The Body Keeps the Score." Have you heard of it? It's on trauma and it could help you.

I'm on day 4 of no weed through the help of Leo's addiction video and some other members on this forum who helped illuminate how I was torturing myself with the substance. I've "quit," many times before, but this time it feels like I'm coming at it from the right angle To see that video Leo posted on his blog hit me hard, wow. Synchronicities in my life have been popping off recently, it's wild. I love it.
-
How likely is for that to actually happen, though? Is it really that bad?
-
I'm more likely to resist and suffer on low doses. If I take a high dose though there is no chance of NOT surrendering. It's like, BOOM! Instant cosmic consciousness!
-
@Emerald Very insightful post, thank you. I really liked your analogy with the shame and crossing a gymnastics beam 200 feet off the ground. That's an interesting observation about pickup too. My understanding is we're all born as natural flirts, then for some reason in school we get bullied for having a crush or, whatever, and suddenly making new friends and girlfriends becomes hard

Were you based in the same household as your mother when you had this realization? -

Focus on everything you don't want in your life. The things you do want will make themselves apparent - Dan Koe -

Yeah you're right.

Lmao you just perfectly described my first situation ship, I was head over heels for this girl meanwhile she was dating a guy. Luckily, I had the self esteem to see my way out. Although I'll admit, I would've liked to keep that friendship with her, she had long blonde hair and was really cool.
-
I don't know if it's just me, but my situation ships are intense, like really intense. Although, the endings are also really intense, like chaos, pure chaos. It's not very easy on the mental I'll tell you that To solve the dilemma of not connecting with them as deep as you/them would like, you could check out premasati yoga. There is one technique I like where your basically just doing the wim hof method with her on your lap, really good connecting with them just by staring them in the eyes (you could even begin feeling like you're merging with them, becoming one.)

Same. I like treating the thoughts of self-hate, disgust and self attacking as waves of an ocean, observing them as they come and go. I forget this a lot, though. You got that.

Where are you? -
What’s your story? How’d you become one? This is the exact mindset i’m dialing into my subconsciousness too. Thanks

Hi, I'm not ADHD diagnosed, but my brother is. He's around your age, seemingly, he took medication and ended up quitting it. He pointed out the same things you were afraid of, feeling like a robot was his biggest problem. He doesn't take them anymore and self medicates with weed which kinda works for him, definitely not optimal though. So that's his story. How have I never heard of this before? Seems good
