  1. If I remember right, the NB portion is a chemical tweak that alters the DMT and makes it inactive. It needs to be removed by heating to a certain temperature. This is a loophole that allows it to be sold legally. If it's possible to get regular DMT, I think that'd be preferable.
  2. I don't think Leo is saying he thinks LSD is particularly damaging compared to others. I think he's saying the use of any substance that gives such extreme physiological states through a chemical catalyst will take a toll. And on that, I completely agree. If you're truly honest with yourself and conscious of your experience, you can feel the unhealthy drain from even a modest trip. It'd be a mistake to believe our science is in a state where we can comprehend the real ramifications of what we're dealing with. We don't even fully understand how psychedelics create their effect. So it looks to me like Leo is advising caution and measured restraint as opposed to recklessness, which is really tough to argue. To answer the question of the thread, I find DMT and 5-MeO-DMT best in this regard. They're certainly energetic, but not nearly as much in the neurotransmitter-draining type of way as some others.
  3. At least in my experience, the chances of feeling rundown and having a hangover are much higher with LSD. I put a ton of weight in that, because feeling crappy from substance use puts a pause on my spiritual pursuits and my life in general. Coincidentally, I also abused stimulants a lot when I was younger, and I felt the crash from it so many times. That's the reason I won't stand for it now. I don't drink coffee or touch anything that's stimulating. It's unpleasant whenever I do, and my aim is to run on my own steam. Another major drawback is the long duration. I'm almost exactly Leo's age if his bio is to be believed. I don't know if he'd agree, but I think it gets more difficult to find time for a full day of tripping when you're not as much of a young fella. My current favorite psychedelics have much shorter durations thankfully. I haven't used mushrooms in over 10 years, so it'd be hard to say I'm a huge fan of those either. Some of the bad trips I've had would line up with your opinions on them. I suppose if the drawbacks I listed aren't an issue for you, LSD could be the better way to go.
  4. I think I'm just average in intelligence, but when I had my first taste of authentic higher consciousness, my mind was open enough to the possibilities that I was forced to accept spirituality being the actual state of affairs. It instantly flipped from a fuzzy agnostic "maybe, who knows?" to an undoubtedly true "obviously, how can others miss this?". There's people way intellectually superior to me who I'm sure have had way deeper spiritual experiences than me (through psychedelics or whatever), and in all likelihood, they'll remain staunch materialists for their entire lives. So at least for me, I think the main factor wasn't IQ, but rather an open-mindedness and a willingness to step completely outside of what "everyone knows", once being blessed with evidence. There could also be hidden metaphysical reasons why a person becomes aware of spirituality or not.
  5. Thanks, I'll check these out along with some YouTube videos. Very cool, reminds me of another great quote from Power vs. Force. "But, in fact, in this final apocalypse of the self, the dissolution of the sole remaining duality of existence versus nonexistence—identity itself—dissolves in Universal Divinity, and no individual consciousness is left to choose. The last step, then, is taken by God."
  6. I agree, when stated plainly, that seems to be all there is to it. Some people like myself may be more dense though, and need it repeated using different wording from different angles before it sinks in. Yeah, it's from Power vs. Force near the beginning.
  7. I like David Hawkins quite a bit. I think his spiritual advancement is extremely high, and as you say, his maps seem to be an accurate reflection of the reality. I guess the reason I never dove more into his material is because he wasn't big on giving pointers on how to reach those rarefied levels. The most I've seen from him regarding that is the paragraph below from Power vs. Force. I've always leaned more towards someone like Adyashanti for that reason. But perhaps I'm falling into the trap of complexity that you mentioned. "People wonder, “How does one reach this state of awareness,” but few follow the steps because they are so simple. First, the desire to reach that state was intense. Then began the discipline to act with constant and universal forgiveness and gentleness, without exception. One has to be compassionate towards everything, including one’s own self and thoughts. Next came a willingness to hold desires in abeyance and surrender personal will at every moment. As each thought, feeling, desire, or deed was surrendered to God, the mind became progressively silent. At first, it released whole stories and paragraphs, then ideas and concepts. As one lets go of wanting to own these thoughts, they no longer reach such elaboration and begin to fragment while only half formed. Finally, it was possible to turn over the energy behind thought itself before it even became thought."
  8. It'd be this stuff: nadis, chakras, and who knows what else. It has a basis in literal fact, and can be felt undeniably when you sink into at least a subconscious level of meditation. Psychedelics like 5-MeO-DMT can give full-on kundalini awakenings. Despite this being as real as anything else, I acknowledge we live in a weird time where it's as far from common knowledge as can be. Though its symbols are everywhere in society if you look, such as the symbol used in medicine called the caduceus. I find that strange indeed.
  9. I maintain that the mechanism involved here is possibly the advancement of the energetic spiritual circuitry a person is born with. It'd be similar to having an abundance of type 2 muscle fibers and being a natural athlete.
  10. I've touched this to a certain degree sober when practicing, and I've most definitely experienced it on 5-MeO-DMT when practicing. It's like the saying, "When I heard the bell ring, there was no me and no bell, just the ringing." The feeling of liberation from the sense of self that's usually wedged between my experience was palpable. But the gravity of my ignorance is still strong enough that it continues to pull me back.
  11. @Water by the River Nice, thanks for the explanation. It's interesting how early Buddhism could be so shortsighted to have the sole goal of nirvikalpa samadhi. Many of the progenitors seem to be great beings capable of some amazing stuff. You'd think they'd notice that the spiritual mechanism carries forward into a continuous infusion into their everyday life. This seems to be the case with many origin stories across cultures throughout history. It's like the same myths get recycled indefinitely. It makes you wonder how it all started. I need to check this out. Considering how expansive Vajrayana is into all kinds of realms, it wouldn't be surprising to find out its teachings were aided by some kind of entheogen.
  12. Yeah, I got a little carried away on that one. I work in technology and it sometimes pollutes my thinking. I'm in agreement that a metaphysical realization is probably how it'd be grasped.
  13. Great report, absolute madness. It always surprises me the types of doses some people can handle. Just 20mg of any of those 4-subs would be an event for me. Have you ever tried 5-MeO-MiPT by itself? Do you see any value in doing so?
  14. When I first got into DMT quite a while ago, the Glass Vapor Genie was the most popular tool. So that's what those numbers are based on. I'm not sure if emesh was around at the time. I haven't tried emesh, but I'd have to imagine it's either as efficient or more so than the GVG, so those doses should be mostly accurate. I wouldn't say I prefer vaping DMT as a standalone using any method. My best experiences have been orally with harmine and THH. I'm guessing subcutaneous injection will be amazing too, but I haven't had a chance to go deep yet. Using one of those two methods and then having DMT in e-juice as a booster could be cool.
  15. !!! People may not know the dosing to realize how crazy that is. Awesome report. Very thoughtful, poetic, and well-written. Sounds like an amazing time overall. What are your thoughts on 4-HO-MET in comparison to 4-HO-MiPT? I've seen a lot of people actually prefer the latter. Strong agreement there.
  16. The experience is pretty subdued at low doses. It's not easy to extract anything of value. Medium doses can be profound. It's a big step up. If feels like your mind gains access to a higher dimensional reality, and spiritual insights flow like water. It's extremely therapeutic. There's a distinct and clear sense that you're experiencing a populated reality beyond the embodied life we're used to. High doses approaching or at breakthrough are almost better left unexplained. They're so far beyond regular experience, you can't even bring 99% of it back with you. It's only when you reenter the space again that the memories return. It's way more serious and hardcore than anyone can ever expect. Dosing would depend on the route of administration. If you're talking about vaping, it'd be something like this, assuming your vape technique is nearly perfect in terms of efficiency. 5mg - low 10-20mg - medium 25mg+ - high
  17. If it's even possible for the phenomenon to be understood from our relative perspective using some kind of advanced science, it'd probably be like a caveman trying to comprehend a computer. The logical framework just isn't there. And it may be paradoxical and beyond logic entirely, and can only be experienced.
  18. Sure, that seems likely. I've met people who are so extroverted that they suffer having to be alone with themselves for even a short time. I'd imagine they wouldn't enjoy having the cosmic realization of being completely alone for eternity. Yeah, I agree on the idea of needing Love as a support for the experience to be as it should. It probably requires the full blooming of Sat Chit Ananda as the three pillars.
  19. Due to the short duration of DMT, I would think it's a bad candidate for microdosing. You're correct though that it's amazing for spirituality.
  20. My guess is it'd be the difference between those who experience themself 100% as God itself, as opposed to those who experience it in at least somewhat of a separated state. It costs precisely everything.
  21. I wonder if different people are more and less naturally inclined to the various facets of Reality. How annoying to be less likely to feel Love though .
  22. Same. I bet that's a very common theme for people who start using psychedelics with the same aim as people on this forum. Even though it's strong and difficult to handle though, I wouldn't say it's enjoyable or spiritually beneficial. Maybe compared to nothing, but not compared to psychedelics.
