  1. I'm still quite afraid of death myself, despite everything I've experienced. It's just so easy to be attached to our existence as a body. I think to get past it completely, you'd have to be heavily conscious in a more holistic way beyond just the standard awareness of being God by itself. It'd probably require an additional mastery on the subtle level, where it's experienced that the individual expression (soul) is using the body as a type of container which can be discarded. The subtle is often very much overlooked in favor of diving headfirst into the causal, with no regard or knowledge of the intermediary realms of being. Zen would be a pretty clear example of this, and I believe it's to its detriment. Ken Wilber lays out a similar case here. Though I'd by no means consider him as having a mastery of the subtle at the level I'm talking about. I'm guessing it'd be an unbelievably rare individual who'd actually achieve that. *Skip to about 15 mins to hear Ken's thoughts.
  2. Right, good clarification. It was the same for me. It was as if the involuntary function of breathing just turned off, and it was pretty alarming. I believe 5meo is triggering a natural parasympathetic process that you typically see in meditation, where the breath slows to a crawl and eventually seemingly stops. But for this to occur at the wrong time, such as in the middle of an intense trip when your heart is racing, it may be like a kind of short circuit that actually is dangerous. Yep, good point. I just love the guaranteed nature of 5meo though. It feels like gambling to use anything else, where you might end up with some kind of bizarre and demented trip, something neutral, or something heavenly. 5meo's power and consistency has me at the point where I'm about ready to drop all other psychedelics. That may be, but I guess it's just the way Leo's chosen to go about it in his own life, and by extension how he's chosen to share it with the world. No doubt he's seem some crazy shit on strong trips. It's unfortunate if it leads some people astray, and it's really unfortunate if anyone gets hurt, but I guess the responsibility ultimately falls on the individual. If some of us see things differently, the best we can do is share our own experience and advice.
  3. 5meo is definitely special in comparison to something like mushrooms and DMT, or pretty much any other psychedelic. It really is meditation in drug form, and I think chances are high that endogenous 5meo plays a part in successful sober meditation. There are safer psychedelics, but they're just not the equivalent. I think most people mischaracterize the role 5meo should play. Many see it as an answer in and of itself. But it should be looked at like a tool, and one that should perhaps be put down when it outlives its usefulness. People have accomplished the goal of enlightenment throughout history without even realizing 5meo exists. It's not a prerequisite, and there's probably a lot of truth to the notion of risks being tied to shortcuts.
  4. I'd say you're on the right track in thinking 5meo stands above most other psychedelics, both in potential risk and reward. I can't help but wonder if it affects different people in different ways though. I've had countless trips at low, medium, and high doses, and I've only experienced the loss of breath a single time. It sounds to me like you're getting that effect frequently. I think the best advice someone could give you is to simply stop using it if it feels like it puts your life in peril. That's pretty atypical, and probably not something you should try to plow through. 5meo isn't a necessity in life, but rather an optional booster to meditation.
  5. People seem to be disagreeing with you, but I think this is actually a pretty inspired understanding of how it works when fully transcending limitation and reaching a supreme state such as nirvikalpa samadhi. There's a quote from the bible that says "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." When viewed metaphorically, this represents the impossibility of an identification with form attempting to squeeze its way through the gate into formlessness.
  6. Ah gotcha, with your knowledge in martial arts, you'd probably be a much better judge as to whether this particular guy is BS. I know a lot of imposters move around martial arts circles where energy manipulation is concerned. I'm talking about stuff more in line with the true mystical. Like I mentioned in my first post, it really does directly involve a mysterious type of energy inherent to all things. A straight up transcendent energy sourced from the infinite supply of Brahman itself, and tapped more and more so as you approach the non-dual God-level state, ultimately leading to the transformational event of kundalini. It most certainly does exist, even if it seems a little weird seeing it stated so plainly and with conviction. With everything you've mentioned regarding your experience in martial arts, I'm absolutely sure you've seen little hints of its existence at the very least.
  7. I don't know what to say about the authenticity of this particular video, because it seems goofy that some random fella on the streets would be doing it, but the ability to kind of "shock" people with prana/chi/whatever is one of the capabilities I've understood to be real.
  8. Prana is more like a hyperdimensional electromagnetic force that sustains life in your body. The further you go into authentic meditation, the more the floodgates of prana open into your being. Like Davino mentioned, this can even culminate in so much life-giving energy that the need for breathing practically stops. Coincidentally, I believe this physiological energetic reaction also explains why some people feel like their breathing has stopped on heavy 5meo doses. It's a similar concept to when you're sleeping at night and your heart rate and respiration gradually slows. This flooding of restorative prana is likely the reason humans and animals need to sleep at all. Things get wackier the more you get into it. This same electromagnetism comprising prana can no doubt be harnessed in the technology of a sufficiently advanced people. Different variations of prana can produce different effects. An example would be the anti-gravity characteristics displayed by UFOs. This of course has very interesting implications if you consider what it means humans themselves are capable of. If it's confusing that I'm claiming all of this is possible, and yet you've never heard of or seen anybody who can do it, I agree lol. I don't know why this is so well hidden from the populace. Life on earth is very strange indeed.
  9. If we were judging him based on his descriptions of kriya yoga techniques, I'd agree with you that there's really nothing special there, and I mostly ignore those. It's in his poetic pointers towards consciousness, and especially the map of consciousness towards liberation that's presented in his autobiography, where his work really shines. It's both simple and profound, and remarkably accurate from my experience. It's similar qualities to those that attract me to Adyashanti's material. I think a good book on spirituality is written in a way that's almost similar to a koan. There's a subtle pointing past the conceptual. A kind of unexplainable magic hidden between the words.
  10. Besides the autobiography I mentioned above, my favorite books of his are "The Yoga of Consciousness" and "Kundalini Exposed".
  11. I think so too. Having a reasonable foundation in meditation and then moving on to concurrent psychedelic assistance to boost you forward may be ideal. The two should be started at the same time at the very least. The worst scenario would be just psychedelics. All just my opinion of course.
  12. @OBEler yeah, good point. If malt gives inconsistent effects when vaped, the ROA would lose its advantage entirely and wouldn't be worth using.
  13. Yeah, I'm with you there. In the hierarchy of ROAs which have the least detrimental physical effects, injecting and plugging are probably at the top. The benefit of vaping from a pen would be the way you're able to redose continuously. You can start low and then slowly and comfortably get yourself to a place where you're heavily tripping. This is opposed to the bolus dose used in injecting and plugging, which can have an extremely powerful intensity curve. Like you mentioned though, the vaping method comes at the cost of lung health.
  14. @OBEler interesting, I've also thrown 5-MeO-MALT HCl into a mix of PG and VG, and it worked perfectly for me as well, but I've only vaped it a couple times now so I guess I hadn't yet noticed that weird quirk with the delayed peak. It could be that the drug metabolizes into a different molecule and then has secondary effects. I could see how that'd make it difficult to time your doses.
  15. The OP of the DMT-Nexus thread posted an update with a bunch of helpful tips towards an even smoother e-juice vape experience. https://forum.dmt-nexus.me/threads/dmt-salts-for-e-juice.367729/page-10#post-3943087
  16. His books are some of my favorites, and I reference them often when I want to review useful meditation pointers. He also wrote this autobiography under a different name. It's probably my favorite book of all time relating to this subject besides Emptiness Dancing by Adyashanti.
  17. This is what's been long believed in the Ayahuasca traditions, and I guess they'd be in a position to know above most others. There's undoubtedly a significant change in a DMT trip when harmala alkaloids are introduced.
  18. Makes sense, I've heard similar.
  19. Pretty good theory. It could be true that more of the harmala psychedelic effects leak through when using it orally. I once took a high dose of caapi harmalas by itself, which is basically a mix of harmine and THH. I experienced powerful effects that are difficult to describe. There were bizarre visuals and everything. It was interesting, but I'd personally never do it again without the accompanying DMT.
  20. @shree sure thing, no problem. Let us know how it goes. And please keep us updated on what you learn about that NB-DMT. I've seen the NB attached to other psychedelic molecules, and I'm only vaguely familiar with the ramifications of that. It'd be helpful to understand what effect it has on a practical level.
  21. Yes, I have a good amount of experience with vaporhuasca. This is what I used for a while before I tried out pharmahuasca. There's a couple ways to go about it. You could take the harmalas via sublingual administration or orally about 20-30 minutes before vaping DMT. Sublingual will only require about 20-30mg of harmine since the bioavailability is much higher. Oral will require around the dose that you'd need for pharmahuasca, so about 100mg of harmine. For reasons that aren't clear, taking the harmalas orally for vaporhuasca creates a noticeably more powerful, more immersing, and longer trip. It was my preferred method despite the larger amount of material needed. At least for myself, the nausea was extremely minimal and essentially non-existent. Like I mentioned above, it's one of the huge benefits of pharma over aya.
  22. Syrian rue extract would work, though it'd be ideal to go the extra mile and use a tek to separate the harmine from the harmaline. I find harmaline way too heavy and sedating. It's not a dealbreaker to lack the THH, but it does add something very bright, joyful, and special in my experience. Making a brew of pharmahuasca is very simple. If you're using the freebase form of the ingredients, a good method would be to use a shot glass of orange juice (so as not to have an excessive amount of liquid to drink) and simply stir in and dissolve all the ingredients at once. The citric acid in the juice should combine and create the citrate forms of the DMT and harmalas, which I've found to be much easier on the stomach and probably better absorbed. If you already have salt forms of the ingredients, you can use a shot glass of water instead of orange juice. Just as a warning, it'll taste foul either way, but that could be considered the price of admission. I've never had straight ayahuasca comprised of full alkaloid extracts for the leaf and vine, but I'd have to imagine the experience is at least quite similar. And one major benefit is that pharmahuasca doesn't cause you to shoot out diarhea and vomit at the same time lol. It seems to be so much easier on your system based on what I've heard about ayahuasca.
  23. Sure, if you were wanting to create a modest dose that's similar to a single typical cup of ayahuasca (based on various analytical studies throughout the years) it'd be about 30mg DMT, 150mg harmine, and 150mg tetrahydroharmine. You could potentially get away with as low as 20mg DMT, 100mg harmine, and 50mg tetrahydroharmine. If possible, the salt versions of each of these would be ideal for oral use. There's an important point to be made here. Leo and some others are insensitive to oral DMT for whatever reason, and up to 100mg is needed for them to experience equivalent effects. Who could say why that is exactly, but it may have something to do with certain conditions in the gut, such as relating to the microbiome. For this reason, it'd be wise to start low with the numbers I'm providing when using pharmahuasca. With myself as an example, a 100mg DMT dose of pharma would likely be traumatizing beyond imagination, and I'd never dream of even approaching this dose.
  24. All I can say is that pharmahuasca is fantastic, and it produces the most fun, insightful, and euphoric psychedelic experiences I've ever had. Are harmalas legal in Germany? If so, I'd get a hold of some harmine and tetrahydroharmine and mix up some pharmahuasca. Let me know if you have any particular questions.
