  1. Are you familiar with how that interaction would work in theory? Chakras, nadis, the subtle energetic organs of perception?
  2. @Thought Art that's truly awesome. Just being aware of qi as a thing that exists in objective reality puts someone way ahead. Practicing and getting a feel for it would take things to a whole other level. I've found that the act of feeling it alone has positive benefits, as feeling it automatically seems to put you in alignment with it. Have you ever heard of Wong Kiew Kit? I've really enjoyed his books about qigong. Even though he's a qigong master, he gets into other topics relating to energy not usually discussed in a qigong context, such as kundalini. His info on Zen is also great.
  3. Very cool indeed. Do you feel comfortable saying your most "far out" experience where qi is concerned?
  4. Yes, 100%. It's not coincidence that all the wisdom traditions describe a universal vital energy. And if you've got enough specialized skill, and especially if you combine that skill with a psychedelic like 5meo, it becomes glaringly obvious that this is not merely the stuff of legend, but it is in fact reality.
  5. A lot of people seem to want to cram something as profoundly transcendent as God into their own logical framework, which is obviously doomed to fail and will very likely cause confusion about solipsism. Just like how a chair can be said to be made of wood, and on a deeper level it can be said to be made of atoms, it seems to be the case that we're both all individuals and we're all God. It's just a matter of one being more relatively true than the other. God doesn't appear to be so limited as to not make both possible. That's the understanding I prefer, but that's also just more conceptual thinking. It'd be better to come to peace with never understanding the answer, and instead foster the consciousness that is the answer.
  6. That is pretty interesting. I've also vaped 5-MeO-MALT HCl and had good success. It's possible there's a significant difference in ease of absorbability when using a salted form of a psychedelic and vaping using an e-juice device. I'm not a nicotine vaper, but as I understand it, the nic salt fluids are considered stronger than freebase at the equivalent dose, and it's recommended to not even use nic salts when vaping with a sub-ohm device due to it being too strong.
  7. Here's another link focused specifically on mixing 5-MeO-DMT freebase with citric acid and PG. https://forum.dmt-nexus.me/threads/5-meo-dmt-salts-for-e-juice.369640/#post-3943863
  8. At DMT-Nexus they have a "no politics" rule. It reflects the old way of thinking that I mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, where it's understood that people are simply too stupid to have a civil discussion around certain topics. I think the rule has done wonders towards keeping out toxicity while maintaining focus on the psychedelic experience. Incredible innovations have sprung up from that forum over the years, and I'm not sure if it'd be to the same caliber if it had a Politics sub-forum where their most intelligent chemists could fling poo at each other over differences in political opinions. Just sharing my observation though. I don't expect anything to change here, and I wouldn't presume to advocate for it.
  9. Sure, and just to clarify, he's in my top 5 of all time for helpful sources relating to spirituality. A huge portion of my understanding came from him, and I'll always be grateful.
  10. When talking about Ken Wilber, I actually agree he's a bit too obsessive with mapping everything out in his integral framework. I was just thinking about this the other day. I get the sense he may be bound by the human need for everything to slot into place in a logical and satisfying way, and it's possible he forces some of his conclusions based on that. When a map loses its clarity due to being an endless hodgepodge of scribbles covering the page, it stops being useful. On the flip side, I'm pretty confident he does have authentic and considerable skill in consciousness. He's also great for summarizing the important points from the various wisdom traditions. He can be awesome if you're able to cut around the fat when consuming his content.
  11. I hear what you're saying, and I get how it makes sense to think that, considering how most religions function these days. But it's highly likely that the true origin of all religions is the authentic mystical experience. If you trace them back to their roots, it always starts with a group of people making the effort to intentionally induce altered states of consciousness, and then the group relays their findings which are recorded and passed down. Obviously the record gets warped and abused over time, but I think it's important to remember how basically all of them start. This idea of a "prison planet" is one of the most frequent intuitions relayed by mystics throughout time. If this girl's story is to be believed, she experienced it as well in an altered state when under the influence of a powerful psychedelic. It's not impossible to conceive, as she'd be far from the first person to come to the realization, whether it's actually true or not.
  12. I can't speak to the overall quality of this guy's channel as I only just came across it, but he seems to be presenting the info from an objective viewpoint and he seems agnostic to whether it's true. It'd be an interesting listen if someone wanted to understand a few fundamentals in Gnostic mythology.
  13. Even though I'm not on board for the bullying and degradation of strika, this was pretty clever lol.
  14. This depressed young lady is not the originator of the concept being discussed. It's interwoven all throughout history in countless religion myths, and it's even seeped into modern entertainment in movies like The Matrix. Whether it's actually true or not is obviously debatable, but I feel like the concept itself is something people in this forum should at least be aware of.
  15. Ok, when I made my comment above, I was referring to what could be considered a more sophisticated interpretation of historical Gnostic beliefs. CoolDreamThanks seems to be leaning much more heavily on the mythological and fundamentalist side of understanding. Sorry man, no offense. It's almost as if people interpret information with different portions of their brain/mind. Ken Wilber talks about this quite a bit, but it's always interesting to see good examples of it in practice.
  16. Right, it's interesting to learn from and observe if nothing else. I think another aspect of all this negativity that's often overlooked is that it's addictive. If you pay close attention to yourself, there's an enticing yet twisted feeling of satisfaction that comes along with witnessing a sick burn (lol) aimed at the opposite team. It really is gross stuff, and it feeds on itself to become the leviathan we're all dealing with now. I shudder to think of how it may evolve next.
  17. For sure, I imagine the need to lash out and defend one's views relating to spirituality is caused by the same root mechanism.
  18. Many people here may be too young to remember a time when it was considered rude to talk about politics and religion. There was an implicit understanding that these topics are simply too polarizing to be discussed by the masses without it producing massive division and oceans of toxicity, which I'm sure many would acknowledge is our daily reality now. I'm not sure how or when it all shifted, but having experienced the former way of interacting with others, I certainly do miss it.
  19. IMO, it's a bit much that you now need to have the member text under your username read as "Member Apolitical". It's kind of like a scarlet letter needlessly and continuously calling you out, even though you're already restricted from the Politics sub-forum on the back end. Couldn't you just be banned from certain sub-forums without it being on display for all to see? Or maybe couldn't it just be visible to Leo and the mods? Just my opinion of course. I don't make the rules.
  20. It may be a bit of an oversimplification to simply say more is better and less is bad, but I think it does convey the general idea of importance. Very cool to see some spiritual teachers put more emphasis on this area. In many teachings these days, the subtle is left out of the curriculum entirely. Here's some interesting audio of Ken Wilber talking about its inclusion in some systems and lacking in others. Skip to around 15 minutes for when he begins talking.
  21. Seemingly all the time for whatever reason. I feel somewhat alone in giving it attention or even acknowledging its existence. It's like a hidden key in understanding the specifics of how spirituality works. A kind of connective tissue between the mundane and the ultimate. Yeah, he's great. One of my favorites for sure and highly recommended. When I'm talking about mastery in this context, I'm setting the bar obscenely high towards supernatural levels. Same here, good luck!
  22. In theory, sat-chit-ananda is the nature of ultimate reality. That wouldn't leave room for fear, differentiation, or anything else. Anything but absolute perfection would be on the illusory side of the coin.
  23. Jeez lol. Well she's definitely not the first person who has made the claim. Gnostic Christianity goes deep into it, and even a goofy religion like Scientology contains aspects of the mythos. Examples of the story are littered all throughout human history. Even Buddhism, with its efforts towards liberation from reincarnation. What's interesting in her case is that she supposedly came across the knowledge independently during a trip. It's hard to tell if she's referring to DMT or 5-MeO-DMT. I'd tend to think it's DMT, because that's the one with potential to show you malicious entities. This topic is something I'm aware of, and based on my understanding, I give it a chance of actually being true. But something like this is too much for the forum. The folks here usually keep their focus on non-dualism and meditative practice, which may be for the best, even if these other aspects of reality exist. Imagine if Leo made a video crying about his entity contact lol. The ripple effect from his reach would produce some mentally unstable people.
