You should be able to find audio files by searching "hemi-sync" and "binaural beats". I tried them long ago, but I wasn't mature enough to give it a fair shot. I was young and impatient, and I expected to be blasted into an altered state moments after putting on the headphones lol. If the method interests you, it's worth giving it a sincere try imo. Just don't make the mistake of expecting instant results. It probably takes a mix of spiritual skill as well as an open receptivity to the method. -

Sure, happy to contribute. I don't find the Gateway Process altered-state methodology itself that interesting. After all, those of us on the forum have access to psychedelics that induce similar states with ease. What I do find interesting is the mere fact of the report's existence, and how on-target many of its assertions are. -
From my perspective, aurum is one of the good ones, in the sense that he's not nearly as susceptible to the gravitational pull of unconscious tribalism. A legit effort is made to take an objective view. After the recent debate, when everyone had simply downloaded their opinions and expected behaviors from the Borg, he maintained a cautious optimism while keeping in mind that things may not always be as they seem. Social media can create the illusion of a popular opinion, but that doesn't mean it's actually true, at least not to the degree it's portrayed.

No problem, all. Happy to give back when I can. -
Normally I wouldn't post a link to a single piece of audio, but this talk by Ken Wilber really is all-encompassing of practically every major point relating to spirituality. I think this is probably his best material I've ever heard. Really elucidating and highly recommended. The Jewish conspiracy is the more childish version of what's described in the blog post video. Plenty of goofy characters hop aboard at that level. You wouldn't find people of Weinstein and Linsday's intelligence buying into it. Not saying they're geniuses, I'm just pointing out that they're not actually dumb. The brainpower is there, even if they're missing crucial details to assist in their discernment. Hmm, maybe you're right. As long as the false sense of self remains, an illusion of individual importance may drive actions in a deeper and less obvious manner. -

There may be some dynamic psychological reasons at play as well, but I think he truly believes in a global conspiracy of epic proportions, and it's that belief that primarily drives his actions. Refer back to Leo's blog post from 9/6 with James Lindsay. Bret likely subscribes to a watered-down version of the worldview presented in that video. These people really aren't fucking around or obscuring another motive when they profess these beliefs. I'm guessing those with left-leaning tendencies just haven't been exposed enough to be familiar with the concepts. -

I think earth may not be a good example of what happens when an advanced species like humans evolves on its own and comes into high attainments in consciousness. There seems to be at least a few complicating factors that indicate life here isn't as simple as that. In general though, I would think the typical direction is similar to what you're guessing, where each member of the species taps universal consciousness and our unified existence is understood and experienced by all. Every aspect of society would likely be influenced, including technology, which would really take things to another level. I'm sure that for us trying to guess what it'd be like, it would be the equivalent of monkeys trying to imagine the lives we currently live. It's probably beyond the scope of what we're capable of conceptualizing. -
In Leo's case, I'm guessing he's aiming at revealing the living truth of his own experience, and digging deep with a pioneering spirit. When working towards the unknown, paying too much attention to previous teachings can become like a shackle around your neck. Since Buddhism is exceptional among mystical religions, and many of its teachings are seen as gospel, perhaps this is the reason he puts extra effort towards not letting it dictate his path. I think I can relate quite a bit. I could just be reading way too much into it. Also, like you mentioned, probably not the right thread.

For sure, great content. Good call on keeping it around. Plus, I wouldn't really want to gatekeep what you put in your own thread lol. Just figured I'd point out the potential difference, though it's kind of just semantics. Will do, I've been thinking it over since I saw you created it. -
So very true. Gnosticism and Kabbalah have some strong similarities to the likes of Hinduism and Buddhism.

These two videos are great. They're from the same guy who created the Samadhi documentaries. But the titles of these videos is a bit of a misnomer, as they're not talking about the mind waking up, but rather consciousness waking up and being liberated from identification with the mind. So I'm not sure if they match with your stated goal in the original post, but I could be wrong. -
No problem, good luck!

Sub-breakthrough doses are extremely beneficial as well, and they're honestly far less scary than most other psychedelics. A substance like DMT opens your awareness to the infinite display of subtle phenomena, which can include strong manifestations of the incredibly beautiful as well as the unspeakably horrific. The 5-MeO-DMT experience, in low, medium, and high doses, is always aiming your consciousness squarely at a sort of fusion of those opposites. It's a revelation of the causal rather than the subtle, so you're much less likely to come face-to-face with a profoundly intimidating cosmic evil. Just make sure whatever method you use allows for a good control of the dose, keep that dose at low or low/medium until you're comfortable increasing, and it should work out well.

@manuel bon you also may find this other post of mine helpful. Someone else was asking about my experience with kundalini, and I probably took the detail too far and made an annoyingly long post.
-
Yeah, definitely sober daily meditation practice. And if you want to add some spiritual rocket-fuel, mix in periodic and increasingly strong 5-MeO-DMT trips. Since you're already reading Eckhart Tolle, you've probably come across his "inner body awareness" method. This has been an important practice in my own path. It's exactly as he describes, where humans' awareness is completely absorbed in their mind, and by extension their physical head. By developing a fully embodied awareness of your entire being, you turn on all kinds of little energetic triggers that enhance your perception. There's a whole spiritual anatomy which usually gets ignored for a person's lifetime. Bringing continuous awareness to it has the effect of energizing and activating it. It's this type of thing, especially when paired with 5-MeO-DMT, that may lead to some serious energetic awakenings.

Yeah, I read plenty of examples where people were using pharmaceuticals like Viagra and Cialis. They're supposedly the next level up in terms of effectively combating psychedelic vasoconstriction, but they supposedly come with their own drawbacks such as side effects. Could be worth a try if all else fails though. I'd say it's the same for me, where the vasoconstriction discomfort from the comedown just plain sucks. Like I mentioned above though, my single experiment was successful in preventing it with 5-MeO-DMT. In the absence of that, it was almost as if I hadn't consumed a substance at all. It's possible that what I was considering a hangover was actually just vasoconstriction.

Sure, no problem. And I apologize, now that I think about it, my comment was a little dismissive. There's a wide range of spiritual attainment between having none and having the specific type I'm referring to. And someone who takes it as seriously as yourself no doubt falls somewhere more favorably on that spectrum. In particular, the preservation of sexual energy comes more into play when kundalini is noticeably active. Also, I don't mean to make it sound like kundalini is specifically the top end of the yardstick. There's many practitioners of high attainment who don't seem to experience kundalini, which is a bit of a mystery in itself.

To talk about its potential benefits for yourself, we'd have to dissect just how far you've actually gotten in spirituality. If you believe you're still relatively untransformed, and you think it's likely that your own baseline consciousness would be mostly indistinguishable from the average person's, then you're correct that celibacy probably won't be a deciding factor in making further progress. But as you continue on your journey, it's possible that extraordinary revelations will unfold for you, and your daily experience will border on the miraculous as your hidden inner world bursts to life. It's at that time where you can significantly benefit from the extra oomph which preserved sexual energy provides. If you're not noticing any benefits or drawbacks either way, might as well let nature take its course and do what feels natural. If a time comes where your level of consciousness feels detracted from after sexual activity, maybe give an intentional period of abstinence a try.
-
Who knows, maybe you're right. If nothing else, you may be correct that it's not healthy for society in general. But if you're talking about a form of celibacy for a very dedicated spiritual practitioner, I remain convinced it's an important step to take, along with a successful spiritual practice.

Oh man, is that ever true. I think for a vital male, masturbation may be the most powerful addiction there is. It's like being a crack addict and being forced to carry around a little baggy of crack lol. I couldn't say how the urge is for females. I believe it's obviously there, but I get the sense that they could take it or leave it.
-
At least based on spiritual theory, it'd be because they're not actively transforming the excess sexual energy into higher consciousness. I totally know the type of person you're describing, and they're likely to be wallowing in mountains of egotism, without a clue as to a higher purpose in their life. With no legitimate spiritual practice, it's possible they'll just become overburdened with sexual urge, or they'll turn it into some kind of repressed desire that leaks out in other ways.
-
There's definitely some truth to this. Those who are highly spiritually advanced and have already been through significant transformation can actually perceive the assimilation of sexual fluids into a type of fuel that powers a more sophisticated consciousness. This relates directly to kundalini and how it operates. The sexual use of this fuel has the predictable impact of temporarily lessening the potential for higher consciousness while it's restored. I'm not skilled enough to perceive this myself, but I have an enormous amount of faith that it's the case. I'm pretty sure, but I think it's less obvious than the male counterpart, with the way a vital fluid is suddenly and directly excreted. I don't see why the mechanisms wouldn't be similar or the same for females though.

These days, it almost kind of is. There's that new trope that says Google is now just an improved version of Reddit's built-in search engine. Since the internet's founding, quite a bit of centralization has occurred. If not of information, then at least of the platforms where it's hosted. -
Good call. As far as differences between psilocin and metocin, it's pretty much exactly as everyone describes. Metocin is significantly more likely to be visual, even at low doses. And it has less of a capacity for mindfuck, but that last point can be misleading. Even though the mental effects are less, it's still an analogue of psilocin, and it can tear open reality and show you its inner workings if you have a propensity for that sort of thing. Metoicin is fun and euphoric, but I much prefer 5-MeO-DMT over everything else for practical spiritual work these days. It's aimed squarely at the most important states of consciousness, which also have the potential to be reached while sober. The lessons you learn are very applicable and relevant to the mystical paths described throughout history.
