You just did it again lol. Now I'm not sure if you're simply trolling me for fun. But fair enough though, I'll leave it alone. -

@Some dude on the net we went over the solipsism thing in that other thread. I keep telling you, you're erroneously tying the concept of consciousness ultimately being singular to psychedelics. I can appreciate you not liking drug use, but you're making a huge error in minimizing your own understanding of the experiential philosophies at play here. Also, if you've never personally entered a genuine mystical state of consciousness, I'd bet anything you're misunderstanding what's meant by "solipsism" in esoterica. It's not the mundane definition that I assume you're using. I'm talking about a transrational direct experience, where understanding is immediate and fully intuitive. That may sound odd to the unitiated, but it really does exist as a literal human potential. By the way, I acknowledge some of your criticisms of those on the forum. There's a reason Leo removed his video diving deep on solipsism. If the reality of it isn't directly tasted, conversations can spin into useless pontification. -

I've read a few of his books. I think Bruce Lee was 100% aware that spirituality is an actual human potential, as opposed to a simple intellectual pursuit. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find out he was personally accomplished. -

Yeah, the philosophy of Jeet Kune Do is a good analogy for proper spiritual practice. I have a feeling the similarities to Bruce Lee's system aren't accidental. -

That sounds pretty reasonable and makes a lot of sense. Standard meditation using techniques definitely has its place, and may even be able to advance you quicker in certain circumstances. Such as like you're mentioning, where the capacity for witnessing needs to be strengthened. -

I think he's exactly right. Once you reach a certain degree of refined discernment between the subject and object, you can assume the condition of constant witnessing. At the point where you fully experience your subjectivity, duality collapses and the magic of awakening occurs. That's something that can and should be "done" at all times of the day. Many great masters have made the same realization about their meditation path, where it's understood that the false sense of self is actually the one trying to meditate. The only way around this paradox is to allow the great release into 'what is'. Doing so will provide all the gifts associated with spiritual attainment, including full kundalini activation. Someone had asked what I do for practice in the post below. It's basically a way to aim for the kind of thing described in the video. -
Yeah, I've heard of others having really great trips, which is actually what prompted me to try it. At least in my case though, it lacked the mindfuck factor to such a degree that it was hard to extract anything useful. Still may be worth trying for you though. A similar alternative with a much shorter duration would be 2C-B, which people also seem to love.

I've tried ~400mg of mescaline years ago. It was interesting, but not something worth repeating in my opinion. The trip was so mild mentally, it's almost as if you're sober. Very different from tryptamines. I think phenethylamines in general affect people differently, and I'm not lucky enough to get desirable effects.

They're some of my favorite spiritual films of all time. The creator and narrator, Daniel Schmidt, really knows his stuff based on personal experience. He runs meditation retreats in Canada where they utilize microdoses of iboga and breakthrough doses of 5-MeO-DMT (not at the same time), so he's also very open-minded to new and effective strategies for assisting awakening. Definitely the real deal and highly recommended. -

Fair enough, not a bad mentality to adopt. -

Sure, but you're just describing some burnout kids who have no self-control and drove themselves into the ground with recreational drug use. I don't see why we're using them as exemplars of the spiritual realization. You're not going to get any arguments from me that using 2kg of MDMA is a very bad thing. I wouldn't even recommend 1mg of the stuff. I'm not a fan of LSD either. But taking psychedelics out of the discussion, sober spirituality has been practiced for thousands of years. You seem to be ignoring the entirety of the perennial philosophy, which also comes to the conclusion of solipsism through mastery of consciousness. What exactly do you think meditation is, and where do you think it leads? Your whole argument against the primary spiritual revelation has been that psychedelics are bad for you, which doesn't really track logically since psychedelics are not at all a prerequisite to the experience. -

When observing layers of awareness, do you acknowledge those who can meditate into the superconscious (also referred to as the unconscious)? Is that something you've ever come across when researching? It's at that depth where the subjective experience takes on the formless display of an infinite singularity. And it's this state of consciousness that leads people to boldly make the claim of solipsism regarding the true nature of reality. I understand if that sounds strange and unlikely, but it becomes a lot more believable once you've tasted the full transcendence for yourself. The profundity is impossible to convey without direct experience. That's also why psychedelics shouldn't be underestimated. When used correctly, they open that same exact door, albeit by a chemical catalyst. -

@Some dude on the net do you think the concept of consciousness ultimately being singular comes only from people who use psychedelics? -

@Some dude on the net man, so many assumptions held as truth in such a tight space lol. I'd ask how you view a practical understanding of spirituality, but I'm not sure what kind of atypical answer I'd get. Like I said before, not really a point in discussing further. Life has taken us in different directions to where we likely won't find common ground. Interesting that'd be the case on a forum which specializes in spiritual self-actualization, but I guess people come in all shapes and sizes. -

@Some dude on the net to understand the situation with UFOs on earth, you need to exercise your own discernment using the entirety of all available information. I doubt anyone here will be able to send you what would likely be classified information which presents undeniable proof. It's an interesting bridge to cross in your mind, because the public's judgement of the UFO phenomenon's reality can't be based on a proclamation from the central authorities of the world, but rather from your own sharpened capacity to determine fire from the presence of smoke. Many peoples' innate skepticism and myopic view of what's possible simply won't allow that kind of leap. And I don't necessarily blame you or anyone else for not performing the due diligence required. I've had over 20 years to understand this topic, and you very well may be only 20 years old total. It takes time and experience to form a clear picture of esoterica. We're also dealing with a case of multiple things being true at the same time. I have no doubt that the same organizations who maintain this as a secret would also not be above utilizing it for misdirection. So I don't think you're entirely wrong in your assessment. It's just that UFOs and the associated technologies happen to be real and shady organizations likely trickle info about them to their own benefit. -

Well, you certainly have some unique views. I disagree pretty strongly with much of what you're saying, but there's probably no point in going too much further in a discussion. I respect your right to draw your own conclusions based on what you've seen and experienced. -

Is it your contention that the UFO phenomenon in general is in fact non-existent, or just that it's being utilized for the secondary purpose of misdirection? -
I haven't actually seen Leo mention he was hoping to change Destiny's mind about atheism. I just figured I'd post the video since it relates to a topic we discuss pretty often here. Truth be told, I really don't like Destiny either. But I just can't stop watching him lol. There's something so satisfying about a clear expression of logic. Even when I know he's dead wrong about certain things, despite him being gifted with a freakish aptitude for intelligence.
-
Agreed, it's very likely he doesn't have the kind of direct experience that we discuss here. Still though, it doesn't seem like Destiny will be easily convinced. He's had major ego deaths a few times on shrooms in the past. Could be helpful to appeal to those experiences for bridging the gap and finding common ground in a conversation involving ineffables like infinity/eternity.
-
@Leo Gura just some preliminary research to see what kind of resistance may arise if you broach the topic of God. The English guy even laid out a nice metaphor to provide a more mystical interpretation, and it didn't sound like Destiny wanted any of it lol.
-
Thanks guys, sounds like it may be worth putting in the effort to gain a legit understanding.

I'm more uninformed than I should be where spiral dynamics is concerned. Is this a pretty decent short summary?
-
LOL I love that last post. I couldn't agree more with the "barbarian" comment. A good pair of nail scissors is truly the way.

Ah, you're certainly an interesting fella. I've never come across your posts before. I very much appreciate the opportunity to read the words of someone who knows their shit. Great detail; the image you paint is palpable. Yeah, what you're describing sounds accurate to how I've seen physical encounters retold. I can't claim to have first-hand experience with telepathy, except perhaps during strong DMT trips where the presence of higher entities, along with an outpouring of cosmic wisdom, is clearly felt. I'd have to imagine that a physical encounter may be even more powerful still. And I agree, it seems telepathic communication with these beings is possible for both the lesser and greater of us. Is your description based on stuff you've read, or is there some direct experience in your history?
-
Yeah, should be super interesting to see where it all goes.
