  1. Ah, my bad, I see you did include that qualifier. Without performing my own due diligence of research, and assuming you're correct about the origins of the concept involving the immoral nature of abortion in Christians' minds, I do concede that it was a dirty and manipulative trick by powerful people to gain more power. I don't know if we can say whether what occurred at that time is solely responsible for the prevailing Christian attitude today, but it sounds like I'd have a difficult time arguing it didn't at least light a spark. Something tells me that particular group would have landed on the opinion anyway, but maybe that's just because I'm so used to seeing it now. I think we can find some agreement here, with the main difference likely being in the ratios of how many we're saying are afflicted on the right. I can even agree that it possibly is a majority, but I'd lean closer to 60/40, and I get the sense you'd claim something like 99%. I think the online world paints a picture of our worst selves, and it becomes easy to judge that shadow as the reality. I do, but only a couple of the small-minded type you're describing. An old friend of mine from my childhood is annoyingly Christian, and some of the behaviors you've listed are often on display in him. Even in his case though, there's a depth in his type that I bet you're missing. We are still talking about a human being here, with roots that go as metaphysically deep as yours or mine. It's possible that an excessive amount of othering can obscure the value of someone we've come to believe is useless or even dangerous.
  2. There seems to be a flaw here, though. Isn't it possible to imagine a person (or group of people) coming to an intuitive conclusion regarding the potential immorality of abortion without any external manipulation needed? It's my understanding that many cultures outside of the West also view abortion as an abomination, including remote tribes who are unexposed to modern ways of thought. Wouldn't your claim be similar to saying that all those in support of abortion were fooled by Margaret Sanger, with the hidden goal of lessening the population of "inferior" African American stock? I believe both claims are ignoring the modern individual's ability to form their own conclusion, regardless of how the original movement was started. Inversely to your opinion about those who are anti-abortion, do you believe those in favor of abortion have a view that's purely their own, born exclusively of critical thought? To be clear on my own views, I don't actually care much about abortion, and I recognize its potential value in terms of convenience. I think it's likely the human body is some kind of vessel for transcendent hyperdimensional awareness and therefore more disposable than how we've historically treated it. Interesting stuff, though. I was not aware of this.
  3. Yeah, thanks, it really does help in both better understanding SD and how it's being applied. It bridged a gap between the teachings and my own way of viewing the world. If I were being honest, it continues to surprise me as well how something as significant as real spirituality can go unnoticed by so many, despite the signposts being literally everywhere for all to see. Denial can be so intense that even many of those who've had a 5-MeO-DMT or DMT breakthrough aren't able to put 2 and 2 together. Nice, a militant adherence to the ideology of veganism and then a later questioning of said adherence is a good example of the type of growth I was describing that often comes with age. Interesting to know this common phenomenon has an explanation in SD.
  4. Maybe you're right where spiral dynamics is concerned. For whatever reason, I've never done a deep dive into it to gain a solid understanding, so my knowledge is as surface-level as it gets. Though I have heard Ken Wilber emphasize many times that the map is not to be confused with the territory, and that's probably an important lesson to keep in mind in terms of limiting expectations when applying SD practically. I appreciate in your third paragraph how you allowed a little bit of open-mindedness towards a new way of looking at things, but then you mentioned that even if Trump supporters do get what they want, they only want it because they were manipulated into that opinion. Jeez lol, so many of you are just so uncharitable. It reminds me of the self-assuredness and self-righteousness typically displayed by kids of college age, which I'm sure many of this forum's members actually are. For those of us who have lived more years and witnessed our own views change with time, it can be a real turnoff to see young people so sure of what they think they know about themselves and others. Maybe because it digs up memories of how we used to be. I don't think we'll find common ground on the topic, but I appreciate you taking the time to express yourself. I can't pretend you're not skillful at making your points, and it's helpful on my part to get a closer look at the psychology from someone who's eloquent enough to clearly express an idea. Sorry to see you claim that with such certainty. It's quite a gamble on your part to take such a stance, because it closes the door leading towards unity and widens the one leading to conflict. I realize you're far from the only person with that point of view, but as you're someone who's loosely aware of our literal shared existence as Consciousness, it'd be nice to attempt living as if it were actually the case.
  5. Right, pretty reasonable explanation on your part, but refer to my last post to Joshe. You guys are speaking with quite a bit of certainty and authority on what's possible for other people to think and feel. I believe that it's possible we live in a world where you guys in fact don't know everything lol. And to be clear, I'm not even necessarily saying you're wrong, but it always bugs me a bit to see a kind of assumed dominion over others, and I guess I felt compelled to speak out and represent the alternative as a type of steel man.
  6. Thanks, that does help in providing a clearer view into the mindset I'm describing. I have to say though, I still find it a bit odd to observe the continuous bafflement that so many display. Is it the nature of stage green to be always surprised at the actions of the previous stages? It seems like at some point, those actions should be expected and taken in stride. You personally may have a fleshed-out conception that you're working with, but I'm not entirely convinced that's true for all others. I'm not completely unsympathetic to your point of view, and I certainly see how you got to your conclusion. But if you were 100% honest with yourself, isn't there a reality where some, or even many, of the outcomes listed in the OP indeed do have a higher likelihood of happening in a Trump presidency as opposed to the alternative? Isn't it possible to imagine an individual who desires certain aspects of life that are simply contradictory to a Democratic party rule, and they're making a choice between their perception of the lesser evil, even when accounting for the risk of the dangerous individual that is Trump? I think many on the left are making a similar judgement with Kamala Harris, as she's not universally loved, but there seems to be a gap in the conception of a reasonable individual weighing the same options in the reverse. A fair question to ask may be whether it's possible for someone to vote for Trump without being conned into it.
  7. It's perhaps not that shocking. He listed the things he wants, and that he believes voting for Trump has a higher likelihood of those things occurring. It's actually pretty straightforward. As someone who's uneducated in the intricacies of spiral dynamics, I may be out of line with this opinion, but I feel like I've noticed a flaw in the general theory. When a higher level is reached, isn't it supposed to transcend and include the previous? Meaning that those on a higher stage contain elements of previous stages, and can therefore comprehend them in an accurate way? I feel like I'm seeing an ocean of supposedly advanced people who are mystified at the actions of those beneath them when it comes to the analysis of Trump voters' motivations. Am I just misinterpreting SD, or what am I missing here?
  8. I have this exact same impression. It seems like we're moving globally from a scenario that allows average individuals to rise up and live better than kings from the past (current middle class) into a system that is much more of a forced two-tiered, where the 99% live in equally shitty conditions while our leaders enjoy enviable conditions. At the risk of sounding conspiratorial, I'm not so sure it'd be accurate to say this is all accidental.
  9. Any predictions on what happens to those living in the US if the power shifts in this way? Would it be something like a massive drop in quality of life? I wonder if other nations would seek retribution for what they consider as decades of unfair treatment.
  10. Ah gotcha. I'm not sure about the legality and availability of harmalas in Switzerland. Syrian Rue seeds would be an option, but I hear a tea of it can be quite nauseating. I think it's due to Syrian Rue being 50/50 harmine/harmaline, and harmaline is very heavy and sedating. I don't have any personal experience with Syrian Rue, though it is possible to acquire the seeds and then perform a kitchen-chemisrty extraction to end up with harmine and harmaline, and then use another chemistry method to reduce the harmaline into THH. The DMT-Nexus forum should have all the info needed to perform the process. Interesting, I've never heard of that method. I'd probably be leery of it as well. Sounds good, good luck.
  11. I think this recent debate between Destiny and Batya Ungar-Sargon does a much better job of elucidating the reasons for Trump's popular support beyond the answer that his supporters are simply brainwashed fools who are being manipulated. Many of you may hate me for saying it, but I find myself agreeing with Batya on at least a few key points.
  12. Asked to AI Q: Can you summarize the Gnostic conception of humanity's situation on Earth? A: In Gnosticism, humanity's situation on Earth is seen as one of spiritual imprisonment and ignorance. According to Gnostic teachings, the material world, including the Earth, was created by a flawed or false deity, often referred to as the Demiurge. This creator god is seen as inferior to the true, supreme God, who is the source of spiritual light and knowledge. Gnostics believe that humanity is composed of a divine spark, a fragment of the true God, which is trapped in the material world. This spark is often referred to as the pneuma, or the divine breath. However, humanity is unaware of its true nature and is instead controlled by the false god and its minions, who keep humans in a state of ignorance and bondage. The material world is seen as a prison, a realm of darkness and illusion, where humans are trapped in a cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. Gnostics believe that the only way to escape this prison is through gnosis, or spiritual knowledge, which allows individuals to recognize their true nature and the true nature of the world. Gnostics often view the material world as a realm of suffering and impermanence, and they see human existence as a struggle between the divine spark within and the forces of darkness that seek to keep it trapped. The goal of Gnostic spirituality is to liberate the divine spark and return to the true God, often through a process of spiritual awakening and self-discovery.
  13. Yeah, I just simply can't imagine how the dosing he suggested could be accurate. If you were on 375mg of harmine, harmaline, and THH, that alone would be heavily intoxicating. Especially due to the harmaline, which is nearly double the strength of harmine by weight. You can definitely experiment with increasing the drops until you find the correct amount, but if it were me, I'd be a lot more comfortable acquiring the purified harmala powders. That way you can dose with certainty. You could leave out harmaline entirely and just get some harmine and THH. Either one of these stores is legit. https://www.harmalas.com/collections/all https://bountybotanicals.com/harmalas-syrian-rue-extracts/ That's a good point. These ceremonies often do involve attendees using a couple shots. The amounts I personally have the most experience with are 30mg DMT, 150mg harmine, and 100mg THH, all taken at once for a single experience without re-dosing. For me, that produces a very strong trip. But you're correct that the equivalent double-shot of ayahuasca would be roughly twice the material that I use, or a bit less than double assuming the second cup is less filled. I was counting 100ml as a single, which I believe is accurate. If I were ever to attend a ceremony, it's likely I wouldn't be brave enough to go up for that second dose lol. Yeah, you're correct that ayahuasca brewers are limited in their options for re-dosing due to how the brew is made (all ingredients in one pot). It may or may not be optimal to have some harmalas in your system before adding the DMT, but I never actually experimented to find out since I had already stumbled on an effective method. Additionally, if I ever were to re-dose, I'd probably do it using the desired amount of extra DMT and much less, if any, harmalas. The MAOI effects of the initial dose will last for a good number of hours, so there wouldn't be a need for much more to activate the second dose of DMT.
  14. Very nice! Glad to hear you're getting closer to the ideal pharma experience. I'm going to guess that the dose labeling of your B. Caapi extract may not be entirely accurate, because 375mg of harmine alone has a very good chance of making you profoundly nauseous, with the addition of harmaline making extreme nausea almost a certainty. Plus, even 100mg of oral harmine all by itself is enough to inhibit MAO a noticeable amount. So I think the extract must not be providing the expected amounts of harmalas per dose. I've always had great success using this study to get an appropriate understanding of the alkaloid amounts in a typical cup of ayahuasca served by a few of the well-known facilitators. You can see in Table 1 how the main alkaloids are listed in mg/ml format. A typical cup of ayahuasca is ~100ml, so you can multiply each result in the table by 100 to decipher what would be considered an effective dose for each. There's some extreme outliers which can be discarded, such as those showing a DMT dose of over 1 gram. There must have been an error in the analytical equipment or something. But when reviewing the relevant measurements which do appear to be accurate, I interpret the amounts per cup to be about: DMT: 30-60mg THH: 100-200mg Harmaline: 10mg Harmine: 100-200mg Using these numbers as a guide, I've always had success in producing unbelievably amazing pharmahuasca trips. Also worth mentioning is that I took the DMT and harmalas at the same time, and even in the same drink.
  15. I definitely get your intention, and I don't even disagree with the general goal you're aiming for, which would be a properly informed electorate. It may just be a question of who's saintly enough to implement a lofty goal like that without introducing their own bias. I doubt it can currently be done. And like I said, I believe trying it would only increase the level of division we're seeing now. Agreed on it not being specifically right vs. left. I look at it as more of an establishment vs. anti-establishment kind of thing.
  16. @Fearey this is exactly correct in my opinion, sans the attribution specifically to the left. When you squeeze your fist closed to gain more control, as the establishment has done in many cases around the world, they'll be resented. A plan like yours, to monitor all people and strip away their right to representation through voting at the first sign of dissent, can only breed more of what we're already seeing.
  17. Ah gotcha. I disagree with number 1 as being effective, because real awakening is a very specific experiential thing that resists being accurately described by virtue of it transcending language. But you make an excellent point with number 2, and number 3 clearly shows you're more familiar with the process of surveying than I am. I don't know what made me think we'd need to ask each individual on earth. Pretty silly in retrospect. Anyways, it is a cool idea. Hopefully one day it's a data point we'll be able to collect.
  18. I was just pointing out that if something is true (Trump has many supporters), and you can't comprehend how it can be true, perhaps that's due to your own current understanding of things not matching reality. That would logically track as a possibility. But it sounds like you do actually have a theory, as you elaborated below. Jeez lol. What need is there to worry about the next Hitler when whichever leader who has devised this policy is already auditioning for the role? Just kidding. Kind of. I agree that people are fucking stupid, and the right seems to have this affliction a good deal more often, but what you're proposing can't be the way forward. I'm sure it's just a response to everything in the world rapidly changing in ways we don't like, but authoritarian solutions such as this will probably not bring about the utopia that we'd imagine.
  19. I generally agree with much of what you're saying, but are you going to address the fact that nobody knows what awakening is? Although coincidentally, I guess the propagation of billions of surveys would itself spread knowledge of the topic.
  20. Pretty cool idea for something worthwhile to track, but a survey seems like it'd be prone to quite a bit of exaggeration on the respondent's part. Someone can easily say "I once felt like I was one with everything." But as you should hopefully know, that's likely very different from the real thing. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to find out over 99% of humans on the planet are entirely unaware of awakening as a potential. Still though, I'd be interested to know how many have genuinely done it and where they're located. Perhaps using something more objective, like an EEG looking at atypical brainwave signatures identified via meditation masters in various studies. Obviously that wouldn't scale well to a worldwide effort, but it seems far more foolproof than simply asking someone and then taking their word for it.
  21. If it's so baffling, isn't it possible there's a significant gap in your own comprehension of how things really work? I'm not necessarily saying that's the case, but maybe it's worth reflecting on the possibility nonetheless.
  22. If you've taken enough MAOIs to perform inhibition, I can't imagine the differences wouldn't quickly become apparent after vaping DMT. It's noticeable in the sense that the trip comes on slightly slower, the peak lasts maybe 5-10 minutes longer, and the tail of the trip stretches way out upwards of 30+ minutes. Additionally, the whole character of the trip gets modified in a way that's difficult to describe. You'll see what I mean if you're able to nail down the dosing. Right on, I'm around if you end up needing advice. I have used the ROA for DMT, but only a few times. From what I've seen, it's kind of like a middle point between vaped DMT and pharmahuasca in terms of the chaos and intensity of the trip. Dosing is similar to pharma, with 20-30mg being a good amount. No harmalas required, but I bet there could be something to be gained by adding them anyway. It'd require more experimentation to know.
  23. @PsychedelicEagle you seem like a very capable psychedelic user who's able to think clearly and avoid catastrophe from negligence. If you're looking for a fancy new ROA with tons of benefits, there's always this option:
  24. Are you able to get your hands on harmalas in their dry powdered form? It'd be a lot easier to be precise in your dosing. That 30mg oral DMT dose is probably about right, but a lot depends on your individual bioavailability for oral DMT. Some people require much more than 30mg (sometimes closer to 90-100mg), but then others such as myself only need 25-35mg for a very profound trip. You'll want to ensure you've nailed down the variable of the harmala dosing, and then put your attention on starting low and finding your correct oral DMT dose. I'm not sure about plugged DMT. I could swear I've seen different people reporting that it both works and doesn't work.
  25. Yes, definitely. In the beginning of my use, 5-MeO-DMT had a tendency to cause significant nausea to the point where it debilitated the trip. After using it weekly for over a year straight, the nausea went away entirely without diminishing the desirable effects. Unfortunately though, after pausing my use for a few months, the nausea has mostly returned. So I guess it requires semi-consistent exposure to keep the likelihood of certain negative effects at bay.
