Yes agreed... Think of giving a Homeless person that has never had allot of Money in their life $100 million, they would probably be dead or very very messed up in a hospital within a year, they just don't know how to deal with it, but a hedge fund manager could turn that $$ into a Billion in a year, they know how to manage it, same situation here, yes it gives You a "Grand Experience" but Your system is not ready for it, doesn't know what to do with it as no foundation has been laid, the potential is there but never explored before the Grand Experience, so it goes away and one may be worse off, the other methods of Yoga and such is slow and steady, can get You to the same place but you never fall back down...

If words are useless. why ask for questions? Questions lead to more words, silly answers and more questions afterwards... Sounds like your experience has gone to your head, ego is charged up now, "I know God, therefore I know everything, and can answer all..", this is no good! -
This is Karma in play, Karma is the result of all the residual action that has been done, Action is in 4 different area of your life, Physical, Mental, Emotional and Energy actions, for most they are unconscious of any of the actions taking place in these areas, then there are past lives and stored memory being pasted down via parents and many other factors, we are not just a product of our parents but of their parents and down the line it goes plus our society and culture greatly influences us as does the placement of the planet in the solar system and even the solar flares happening now... How to over come it is just to become more Aware of it all, that brings some space btwn those things which are Accumulated (all memory is accumulated, genes are a sort of memory, that has accumulated over time), and what You are, you are not anything that You have accumulated..As does LIve Now absolutely, using past/memory to become Wise, future/imagination to plan for but don't live emotionally in those places, and learning to Respond to situations rather than React, all of these things will allow You to regain Your Free Will and become a Fresh Life not a duplicate of the family you came from...

Been watching the Series Shogun, half way thru I realized this was a remake from the series in the 80's, I can't remember if I watched it back then or not, but its a cool show.. Was curious what you all think the Samurai of that time period, what their SD level would be? As a Martial Artist myself, my impression of the Samurai is that they were more evolved than an avg Military sort of person today, they took their craft and skills to very high levels of proficiency and skill levels, and made it their life, via the honor they had for their skill and tribe they belonged too, almost like Klingons in Star Trek but more sophisticated and not so angry... Anyhow just curios, in the show they seem sort of trapped by etiquette and societal levels of living, some are servants, some prostitutes, some have very specific roles to play and the ones on top have all the freedoms and rights to do what they want, interesting show!!

First BE---.then DO--->then HAVE..Most do it backwards and either DO then HAVE and never get to BEING, and suffer it.. BEING means You Know how to BE, how do you want to experience life within Yourself? Happy or Sad, Excited or Bored, Intensely or Chill, we have that choice... When Your BEING is established, You know how to BE, then going out and DOING/HAVING is no problem, if it doesn't work out you have no stress or suffering from it, as You know how to BE within yourself, so this is the best way to help the collective imo!

All Conflict is inner Created, You created it, only for the most part Unconsciously, most think there are other forces at play in their lives, mostly it is them living accidentally, this is what being Unconscious means, bring Consciousness into Your Life (being Highly and Intensely Aware) then no more conflict can exist, just situations, accept it as it is, then clarity is there to find a way out of it if that is what You want to do...

One problem if You identify with the Human Body form, you think this is what You are, and it is dying, that brings with it pain and suffering, part of the idea behind Enlightenment is too know Experientially that what is You is neither the Body or Mind...so when both die your Fine! -
Ishanga replied to James Swartz's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Actually there is some merit to this, Hate along with Anger, and Love are very Intense states of emotion, anything that bring Intensity in Your Life can bring You to Enlightenment very quickly, the problem with Hate/Anger is that it is destructive in nature, to Your body and mind, it may kill You before You get to Enlightenment, Love on the other hand Enhances Your Nature, so that is the safer route, but with Love its never about the "Other" (person, place or thing), its about YOU and what is the quality of Your Experience within Yourself! Enlightenment is just word to describe the Highest Possibility and Potential for a Human Being, one of the worst tragedies in the world is when someone does not live up to their potential, whether it is Spiritually or otherwise, and that is the tragedy of this World not many are living anywhere near their Potential in any area of their LIves! -
Ishanga replied to James Swartz's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Some say Kriya Yoga is the quickest way to Enlightenment, others say Devotion is the quickest way, Devotion nowadays is almost impossible for the people on this planet, they are too addicted to their Intellects and Questions requiring Answers followed by more questions, Devotee's are not like this, Devotion is the path of being Devoid of Self, completely Selfless. Kriya is the path of Inner Actions and Energy systems, if one is disciplined and Intelligent enough Kriya will work wonders, but those two things are rare nowadays:) -
Are You Life Sensitive or Ego Sensitive, if Your Ego Sensitive everything will Hurt You, if Your Life Sensitive, nothing Hurts You, big Difference...

This is a good video that explains this same situation, the questioner asks Sadhguru "With Increased Awareness and Sensitivity, I see more of the suffering going on in the world and it makes me suffer", his answer is priceless and brilliant! -
Ishanga replied to James Swartz's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes.. Entanglement with situations and ppl, places and things is a real problem, once You identify with something you are not, then your anti Enlightenment, once that is dealt with, You have a Cosmic Identity, then Enlightenment is there... -

Wing Chun from 1988 to 2006 then Ving Tsun from 2006 till Now, Wing Chun as in William Cheung's Traditional version of it, WC was recognized as one of Ip Man's top fighters alongside Wong Shun Leung, and Bruce Lee, among others, but his version of Wing Chun is very different from the others, then in 2006 I travelled to LA to train with Gary Lam who learned from Wong Shun Leung and learned that version of WC, called Ving Tsun very different and more inclose striking system, if You've watched a Bruce Lee movie then You've seen Wing Chun in Action, and allot of what Steven Seagal does with his striking is WC influenced. as is Jeet Kune Do... I most have been Teaching since 1990, only began training again in 2006 when I learned the new system.. Adam Chan is Bruce Lee level of skill and technique, just as fast, powerful and knowledgeable, but Bruce hid allot from his students, Adam doesn't once he knows You and learns of Your character.. -

Today we talk about meditation. Some people need a community. Some people can do it on their own. There are many types of meditations, pick the one that fits you. Being in Hermit mode is what the top Daoist used to do millennia ago, before the name Daoism was formed, they lived in Mountains in China, samething happened in India too, then things spread out, tribes became communities, methods become systems became religions, sangas or communities form around methods and ways of supporting one another, one way is good for a certain type of personality, other ways for different personalities that is more common today, those that need others to support them, until they become completely independent which in Reality is what we are, in certain ways we are already independent, but we are inclusive and connected to everything, trees, soil, earth, space, and others... -

Adam talking more about Mediation and what it means to Meditate...as well as being a Hermit and going at it alone or within a Sanga or Community.. Here he exposes the current state of the Human Condition, that most ppl cannot do things alone or be alone, He says that in prisons, ppl would rather be with other inmates and at risk of attack and/or injury death than be in solitary confinement, which I find is nuts, I'd rather be in solitary confinement than with other prisoners, but most ppl today are on the level of social influence and neediness, whereas in reality you are always alone, and individual in nature.. He talks about the difference btwn Loneliness and Solitude, which is basically a difference in emotional outlook and experience, very wise! -

I would say those things are of social concern and creating a "family" is a biological concern, its in our dna to procreate but that is on the bodily level of life, Spirituality is about realizing the non physical aspect of who you are, so it has nothing to do with either of those things, but one has to individually make a choice, if one has a family and worldly responsibilities then of course it would not be so good to just go off and live in a cave somewhere unannounced, but if single with less responsibilities its a more available choice... There are Ascetics sort of practices and way of doing things, and then there are householders ways of doing things where one continues to have family life while pursuing spirituality, in India they have a whole system set up for this, or at least they did back in the old days, where ppl made distinct choices at certain times in their life and didn't just drift thru it like ppl do today... -

I think it is good to do generally for a couple of weeks a year for the majority of People, some may need more and can handle it easier, some can't do even a few days and it doesn't work for them, but some isolation away from the rat race we call society is good for ppl, while doing some quality Sadhana as well! Only those that are meant for it can completely stay away from society and not go nuts, You really have to want it and feel that need inside Yourself to make it happen.. -
Sacred Pilgrimage to Kailash ! Is This Really Kaliyug ? Understanding Yugas: From Kali to Treta and the Concept of Ram Rajya Sadhguru addresses misconceptions about the Yugas, particularly the transition from Kali Yuga to Treta Yuga, and the relevance of striving for Ram Rajya—a just society. Sadhguru begins by correcting the mistaken belief that we are in Kali Yuga, highlighting that we are transitioning to Treta Yuga, a more auspicious time. The discussion includes how Krishna, at the end of the Kurukshetra war, spoke about the limitations of Kali Yuga and the focus on devotion to overcome them. Sadhguru explains the cosmic cycles and the calculation of Yugas, suggesting Kali Yuga has ended and emphasizing the current era's potential for spiritual understanding and societal advancement. Furthermore, Sadhguru delves into the concept of Ram Rajya, symbolizing the effort toward a fair rule as demonstrated by Lord Rama (Purushottama), emphasizing human capability and responsibility to strive for a better society, not necessarily achieving perfection but persistently striving toward it. Sadhguru insists on active human effort and potential in improving civilization.

I agree that ppl need to recognize wholeness and completion, no separate self and such, that is where the Guru's and others are of help in different ways.. The thing with Human Beings is that it is complex yet simple at the same time, from an Absolute perspective its seems simple, but from a Gross Perspective from the Ground looking up its more complex, and nuanced, this is the whole game of Karma, first ppl have to deal with their unconscious tendencies and conditioning, that is complex, at the same time they have to live their lives, make a living and raise families and such things, so the world right now is not set up for one to recognize oneness/completeness and such experiences of Absolute! So Guru's have to step by step bring one to more stability within themselves, first deal with everyday emotions, awareness of what is around them and within themselves, unconscious things becoming conscious, basic stuff, then they can go from there, its hard work for the Guru and frustrating I would imagine, that is why they are Blissful of their own nature, it makes it work better for them and others around them:) -

If the Guru is a true Guru, then for sure they are "Seeking" an Audience, that is the whole point, they want to help as many ppl as they can while here... The problem is we compare to what was done in the old days, and expect this generation of Guru's and such to function in the same manner, this applies to words and what was being said too, and the methods used as well, all of it can still work today as it did back then in the past, but ppl are wired a bit differently today than before, even within my life span things have changed allot, so the Guru has to adapt, play circus with ppl to get ppl just curious, and when those that are curios choose to seek and go forward in a committed way then the real stuff comes out, until then its jus circus, and circus is everywhere in this world today... -

These ideas and labels of Heaven and Hell are mostly man made, Humans suffer more than any other life form because we are complex and have a very Sophisticated Mechanism and Process going on within Us, that houses allot of Potentials, but we currently lack a high level of Consciousness/Awareness generally in the population to access this Potential within Us, only a small % do so, and when they talk about it they are ridiculed or isolated in the society in my experience... Everything is here already provided for Us and all Life to function at its highest level, that could be said to be a "Heaven" of sorts, its just our minds are wired in a certain way that making good use of all that is provided is not the case. But the Possibility is always there, I guess its a matter of evolution and accessing our Free Will and ability to Respond to what Life has offered us is the important aspect of all of this, if You access it then this is Heaven, if not then its a sort of Hell on various levels, which is what we have today in the world!
