  1. I think there are a few reasons for this. First, on a super fundamental Spiritual level, each of Us is allowing Absolute/God/Brahma to Experience itself, if all of Us were exactly the same then that would be a very limited way for Absolute to Experience itself, to make it unlimited, each of Us is Unique in certain ways, we at the sametime are very similar to one another, we share lots of qualities and capabilities, its in our Experience that we differ and how we interpret that Experience as well that makes each of Us Unique. The problem is with Identification and Ego getting to strongly involved and Identified, via that we build walls around ourselves (first physically, then psychologically/emotionally), this is basically a survival mechanism that has transcended to our modern day situation, so rather than building actual protection situations, save caves, weapons, having tons of kids to pass along our dna, etc, we think of ourselves, project ourselves as superior/inferior to one another, experience extreme Exclusiveness and Separation from one another and nature/universe, so now the walls are more mental and psychological in nature rather than physical in nature.. Spiritual pursuit is the antidote to all of this, but with this pursuit You need to drop the identification with Ego, and develop a Cosmic Identity that is Inclusive in Experience and allows You to be One with Everyone (just like You are now with family, friends and small social circles) and Every Living Thing in Existence, much different Experience and therefore consequence compared to how most are living today with Exclusiveness as the primary!
  2. I completely Agree here.. Oneness comes via our Individual Experience, we have Individual Bodies and Minds, giving us Individual Experiences at a certain level of Existence, we can at the Ultimate Edge of the Scale Experience Complete Oneness with Everything, no Separation is felt or there, but this is on the Experiential Level within each Individuals Capability, there are still Individuals, with separate Body and Mind complexes that exist on the Physical level which is a part of the Absolute. We are the Absolute, but we have Bodies and Minds to deal with, that seems to be what most everyone is forgetting, so we are not "Totally" Absolute, if we were we would not be able to Realize it since there is no Body or Mind to Experience it, here on this plane and realm there Is! Existence goes from Gross to Subtle, or Subtle to Gross, there are levels and layers to Everything..If one ignores this Truth then they will Suffer for sure...
  3. JavFly is correct, and I can confirm this not only in regards to Yoga and Spirituality and how doing things right vs wrong makes a big difference, it is the same in Martial Arts, there are certain ways in which the Human Body works best, how one sits, walks, breaths, eats, moves their eyes, and hands and limbs, etc etc makes big differences in life, it is just that ppl do not pay enough or any attention to these small details but in the end everything is in the details.. Yoga is the Science of this, its over 80K yrs old, doing the practices correctly from Asanas to Very strict and detailed Breathing and Pranayama will get You the results and quickly, but one has to be open to It.. One can chose to Realize what Life is about within this Life span or have it take many Life Spans, the choice is up to You!! Here Sadhguru demonstrates the simple difference btwn positioning the palms in an upward facing position vs downward facing position, how many times a day are you positioning Your hands in these ways and how Aware are You of it and the consequences of it??? Probably no Awareness at all, that is why most ppl are not even close to any sort of Realization of what Life is and how to make it Incredible!
  4. @r0ckyreed With Sitting Meditation, You could say its the most serious sort of Sadhana one can do, the other ones are serious too but not in the same way. Like Temples, not all Temples are meant for the same purpose, its the same with certain Sadhanas and Meditations, some have specific goals, general wellbeing, clearing of the chakra paths and sushumna, prana intensity, Kundalini activation, etc etc, so Sitting Meditations/Sadhana are for the serious practitioner, that wants to go all the way, total Liberation and Moksha, Annihilation of Individuality and Union with Absolute, the activities You mentioned are not for this, they are for General Wellbeing, maintaining the Body, Mind, and Human aspect of what You are, Pleasure and Enjoyment, much different than wanting Enlightenment and Liberation/Moksha...
  5. Sadhguru explains it well here, topics discussed: - Don't fall into the trap of weekend Enlightenment retreats, then being declared Enlightened by someone else, You won't miss it if it happens to You! - Psychedelic usage and experience, it can give one a glimpse of Oneness, Absolute and the Reality, but it fades away after, this is not Enlightenment, Enlightenment is not a Doing, its a Realization that happens once the atmosphere is set up so that it flowers and blossoms naturally, that is where the work/sadhana is, in setting up the Environment. - there are 4 types of Yoga, Jnana Yoga (Yoga of Intellect), Bhakti Yoga (Yoga of Devotion/Emotion), Karma Yoga (Yoga of Action),. Kriya Yoga (Yoga of Internal Energies), each participant of each of these disciplines thinks the others are rubbish, but once You realize that these are just 4 aspects of who You are, Head, Heart, Body and Energy and they all come together and are aligned with one another, then things line up and Enlightenment is a natural consequence!
  6. You'll find that there are many video's where he explains what Enlightenment is, none of them are of the same message, so my take away is not to define it in strict terms.. For me Enlightenment is when in Embodied form, You realize and experience life beyond this Embodiment, beyond this Body/Mind/Ego complex that brings about a sense of Individuality and Exclusiveness, You realize everything is Inclusive, One, Complete, via that a Great Sense of Bliss is with You always, You feel pain still, cry when loved ones are hurt or die, but You are still in Bliss, Bliss is not an Emotion, but one of the Greatest Experiences one can have within themselves, so Bliss is a fundamental aspect of Enlightenment, as is Truth and Consciousness... Sat Chit Ananda!!!
  7. How Do Different Deities Function Differently - Sadhguru's Talk
  8. I don't know who he thinks is Enlightened, I don't think he thinks there are many... All he says about himself is that he knows the ultimate nature of this Human Mechanism, from its origins to its end, and via that he can relate it to others since they are the same sort of life as he is.. I don't think he has directly claimed to be enlightened, all he says in that regard is why are you concerned about what is happening with him, and to not judge him as either this or that, and to not look up or down upon anyone, just see them and recognize them as they are now.. As to what he is sharing, if You use it and it works great, if it doesn't work then drop it and move on to something else, I think this is a great way to look at it and is good advice! For sure he has something going on that is not the norm, that cannot be denied, he's proven it on a physical level (decades of endless work, travel, not missing meeting and events, putting his life at risk (see save soil and other events over the years), and millions of testimonies that he is the real deal), so if that is not enough credibility then what is?? Alot of this has to do with Credibility, one can say so and so is not Enlightened, or is Enlightened, but what credibility do they have? Sadhguru has more Credibility than most anyone on the planet when it comes to Spiritual matters, so it doesn't matter what anyone one individual thinks of him, he doesn't care, will go on doing what he is doing regardless...
  9. AUM is the only sounds without using the Tongue, and its a Root word for many other religious words like AMEN.. SJV describes it here quite well!
  10. Everything is a cult, this thing here is a cult and within it are sub cults, there are the pure ones that do no psychedelics and go via the sadhana way, there are others that don't do that and do the psychedelics only and try to find realization, and then there the non dualists, and such, it goes on and on, everyone is their own cult of sorts, so Osho didn't really have a cult, the ppl there made it that way, same with Sadhguru and all the others, no matter what You do, unless you do it totally solo, they are cults sooner or later...
  11. @Someone here Good Stuff! I've been preaching the first BE then DO then HAVE modus operandi for awhile now, having natural Happiness/Bliss is what BEINGNESS is, from this standpoint then You go out and/or DO then HAVE, or HAVE then DO, it makes it all that more worthwhile and easier and fun, which is the basic point of life right, go out, fail or succeed, do things, don't do things, learn/unlearn, make friends, lose friends and loved ones and all that stuff, if You suffer it all along the way you'll be stopped at point A and never go all the way, so when Your established in Your BEING then you can go full stride as Sadhguru says, not 2 steps forward, 1 step back as most are doing:)
  12. @Someone here Agree, Happiness, Like Bliss and Ecstasy (which are just more intense Experiences, Ecstasy being the Highest Intense Positive Experience we can have, Peace being the lowest of the Positive, anything below Peace is not living Human Potential) are not Emotions I would say... Pleasure is a shadow of Happiness, it comes then goes and is mostly based on 5 sense organ stimulation, Happiness is not this, its a naturally occurring experience once You create the appropriate atmosphere within Yourself, usually via Sadhana of some sort, some have it more naturally, others not so much, this is due to their individual Karmic makeup, but a Quality Sadhana can fix all of that, the Sadhana does not produce the Happiness/Bliss or Ecstasy, it just fixes the Atmosphere within You to allow it too naturally flow, we are meant to always Experience these feelings, it enhances are natural abilities on all fronts and allows Life to open up and new Potentials to become available to You:)
  13. Most ppl the reach enlightenment, which is defined as a state of being that is permanent, dissolve at the same moment they say, for many it happens at the moment of physical death.. The Guru's, Rishis, Teachers that are enlightened stay on because 1) they know how to consciously create Karma to stay here to do certain work or 2) They know the mechanics of Life, can consciously manipulate it to do some work here as well.. all others dissolve, their individuality is gone, they merge with the Absolute, like a drop of the ocean being put back into the ocean, its no longer a drop.. So those that are Enlightened and here functioning, consciously create their ego for a certain purpose, whereas most of us are unaware of our ego, we live by accident and it controls us via our belief that it is us..
  14. P.S. I've never taken MDMA, so why can't ppl fight while on it, compared to Alcohol, I've of course use it and I've dealt with thousands of ppl that abused it while I did security work, its a very crazy substance that we have legalized, that most ppl cannot handle that causes tons of suffering, compared to ppl on weed, I've dealt with them too, and they are chill, laughing and hungry ppl that is it!!
  15. I don't know about that, if You did the decade of spiritual work/sadhana who's to say You would still have the monkey mind??? I would never recommend to anyone to take psychedelics until the timing is right, for me that is when You have already laid the foundation from some sort of practice or method, You've had realizations already, are grounded in reality already, you just want a grander experience, and using dmt or something else may help in this way, but its infrequent and not too be used too much, otherwise the result is mostly disastrous I think for most ppl generally..
  16. First BE, then DO, then HAVE, or BE then HAVE then DO, Establish Your BEING, the means You are naturally Peaceful/Blissful, You have clarity of the Reality (its all inclusive), You play this game of Life with Ease (You see how it works and can navigate it easily. like walking across a busy street with ease and consistently), You help and make others a life priority, you choose how to perform action Consciously, action is within Yourself in 4 areas, Body, Mind, Emotion, and Energy, via that you perform outwardly action appropriately, you do what is needed, not what is wanted or what You used to feel You lack, because now You feel no Lack!
  17. yes this is true, but the problem with taking substances is that it may create subtle change, give a simple realization that there can be another way to BE within ones self, but its not Transformative generally speaking, Transformation means nothing of the old remains. So once in an Experience of Love/Bliss as a natural Experience then everything transforms, the perception of the world is transformed, and enhanced, then Life opens up, Possibility and Potentials in life become accessible, the path to Enlightenment comes closer to living reality!
  18. yeah, its nuts,, but just the way he handles it, and the way he has done things in the physical world, he's the example of how it should be, how it works, jeez he just had brain surgery in March, he's back to normal go go go constant activity now, and how anyone can do the same (not with the same results or fame, but the internal experience of it, he's humble, honest about it, and many will say its is fanatical and crazy for those ppl to act in this way, but they realize and see what he is and are using it to bring themselves to the same state of experience, many fall and have to get up to do it all over again but at least they are trying)...
  19. I would not say there are Two True Selves, if that is so, then one needs medical/psychological help.. There is only One You within, everything else is accumulated and gathered on top of this true one Self, this accumulation process is needed to live this Embodied Life, if is is not happening, then there is no Embodied Life and we will have no Experience and Expression possible, and that is why we are here to explore this dual, material, Experience/Expression game, so Absolute can know itself, we are the Absolute fundamentally, with a form, body/mind complex dealing with this dual material karmic world...
  20. Keep doing what Your doing, there is allot of unpacking to do, karma that has to come up and be dealt with, a Year of consistent Sadhana/Mediation practice is not going to deal with it all, but it will over time, keep doing what Your doing and you'll realize there is no other place that is a heaven of sorts, then a place like we are living here, its all internal, its all in how Your Perceive and Experience life within Yourself, You can determine Your own Experience, is it heavenly or hellish, that is our free will and choice to decided how we want to Experience it, but is a striving of sorts...
  21. Awareness is the wrong word to use, awareness is a life form thing, all living things/form have an Awareness, we Humans have the most capability in regards to Awareness, compared to a ant or plant, which has Awareness but its limited to Survival Processes, it may be different than ours but its limited, ours is not, we can Be Aware of things above Survival processes, like the Birth and Death of the Universe, the tiniest things within our own bodies, if one strives for it they can be Aware of many things from Gross to Subtle.. What Your talking about, in my understanding via your writings here, is Consciousness or Brahman, Absolute or Reality as an Grand Intelligence that is Creator and Creation as the sametime... We as Humans have the most capability of being intouch with this Brahman or Intelligence, Awareness of it is a part of this process!
  22. Yes but that is what I am asking for, the environment is not as harsh as Canada, which is very large and vast as well land scale wise, and with winter harshness, the use of the land is limited, but we build railways, and other things that make it work, they haven't in Africa and they have been around in that land allot longer than we have in terms of using the land for our purposes, that is what I am saying, yes they have their issues with land usage and how to make it works for their population, all countries and continents have this issue, but Africa and Africans have had allot more time to deal with it and they haven't..we have and that is the issue...
