  1. "Imagine a scenario where sawblades started to fall out of the sky and chop your family members right in front of you and you were chained down so you couldm't do anything 😨😨" You are funny man. This is straight from the subconscious brain that creates nightmares. The part of the brain that imagines the worst case scenario so that it can protect itself from it. Nothing wrong with it, just seems like yours has gone to overdrive from probably trauma, stress and news. Ego at full throttle which will use it to justify bad behaviors.
  2. Also any tips on the writing? I'm having a big exam on writing soon 🙈 and not so good at it naturally so practicing
  3. On this topic, Which really interests me, I got some other ideas. Such a person can help people dismantle their toxic ideologies. Today so many people are completely brainwashed and bought into various toxic ideologies. You see this on the internet especially with nazis, magas, racists, socialists, far-leftists... I could continue the list forever from outaide politics topics also. The ideologies takes hold from hearing seemingly true arguments, agreeing with them, and then going down a rabbit hole where the person aquires a whole bunch of beliefs that the idology entails with the justification for the beliefs being the initial agreeing to the first argument. After this the person will believe anything as long as it's congruent to the initial argument. Also if it matches the web of beliefs that was created. Problem is that it is not examined and is always very illogical. Here and ideology consultant, counselor could help. He could help the person to figure out if the idology is actually true or not. He can guide them to examine the core beliefs and arguments and find out what is true and what is not. this could prove extra useful to family members whose parents have gone crazy over some ideology off of facebook. If you want examples on how ideology is spread through social media, open X. Another idea is a ideology consultant for organizations and businesses. All businesses need an ideology for why it is worth the investment from employees and investors. A mission statement. They also need a deeper ideology for how the business is run. It's values, MO, policy to form company culture etc. Most importantly a manifesto to motivate workers and customers to get behind the company. Many companies ideology is just to get money. For the investors and for the employees. A truly powerful company and truly innovative companies had a deep mission that was accompanied by an ideology. An ideology consultant can help form, shape, develope, sharpen, congrue and defend the ideology from opposing ideologies. This could give a crazy ROI for businesses. Lastly purpose counselor, or as mentioned above and existential counselor. This seems to exist already, but I think that many people who need this the most haven't heard of it, or don't have it as a possibility. Sadly, in our society many people are struggling with meaninglessness due to many reasons. I belive it's not purely a philosophical issue but also an issue of humans not getting their deeper needs met. Whatever the cause is, the truth is that this problem can be deadly and solving it is thus at utmost importance to those suffering. Thus being a possible career choice for doing good and for that cha-ching. (Since you can't eat pure philosphy) Do these seem viable? Just shooting what came to mind. Want to start a career in philosophy, but haven't found a paved road for it. Maybe these can be followed?
  4. lmao
  5. @Leo Gura Does this mean one should embody these aspects of oneself?
  6. @The Caretaker Where are you from btw? Cultures differ vastly on social norms for socialization and on the general opennes of people. Also how open people are to talking to strangers. Curious because in my country if someone looks depressed they look like the average person and no one would dare to bother them.
  7. Amazing post very great! This could be made into a video for a bigger audience also teaching basic spiral dynamics
  8. Hmm interesting. Were your effects similar to those I described. And thanks for the advice. I definitely lack goals and such. Have you done the same and which goals have you set?
  9. Leo mentioned in a recent blog post that hw thinks that youtube shorts are a plague on the mind and I agree. He also said that there doesn't seem to be a way to block them on mobile, but I found a way. An app called "StayFree" has a feature which allows you to do that. Posting this for anyone interested
  10. I am a young man looking for guidance about life. I don't really have a direction for life or a larger goal, vision nor purpose to strive towards. I'm struggling with finding what I shouls do or strive towards. Everything feels very meaningless and bland and anything I propose to myself in my mind feels arbitrary and ultimately unfulfilling. I want to do something great and create something phenomenal, but nothing in particular really exites me. A standard career from uni or any subject in uni doesn't feel just right. I don't even really know what I like. Looking for guidance and help in what I should focus efforts in. And I know there isn't reallymany shoulds, but I'm looking for some direction in life.
