@Majed So long as you have a flexible mind, you can learn anything. That's not the issue here. Like Leo said, your best options are those you don't know yet. You don't plan to change careers, it happens. We can't "plan" our passions just based on hunches and affinities. We know it when we do it. There's many other factors at play. If you're below 25(you must be 17?), focus on getting the most out of something you "think" you're passionate about. Dating happens naturally. Or are you implying you can't date while pursuing PhD in philosophy? If money is your goal, and passion is a second priority you can do anything. Maslow's needs are barebones, it does not apply strongly if you're pursuing something radical. My point is, those things happen, naturally, if we're true to ourselves. Anyhow, I encourage you do what you think is right. We're often blind to serious wisdom from others when we haven't put in the work ourselves. That's the nature of wisdom.

Go easy on yourself. If you can acknowledge you got a problem, you can make the decision to not keep a romantic partner, for the time being. About anti depressants, they try to induce the same chemicals which comes from a good relationship, and things to improve mood and sleep. They do numb you because it's literally forcing the brain to shut down. You have to make the call. Just a suggestion, work on your passion. Make a long term plan and commit to keep doing what you enjoy and value. If it's difficult for you, that's fine too. One need to be able to let go of everything if they wanna live in peace.

brother, your life is more important than your dating life.

Absolute Numbers? It's not good, we could convert into slavery percentage. Still USA will have upto .15%(500K), India have around .70%(with absolute numbers of 10M) But let's not dodge the bullet. Slavery is a real thing. Caste systems were signs of underdeveloped population. India and surrounding countires are very complacent. Conquering others/hustling is not one of those values of the major population. This have made them vulnerable to manipulation from within and outside. The values differ very much compared to the West. One of the lost values on hospitality is "Adhiti Dhevo Bhava": "Treat your guests like Gods". The reason most gurus are from India is not an accident. The land is very abundant. Those outside India have no clue about this, and I'm glad it is so. Hinduism as we know today is a diluted version of it. Hinduism is based around the land of Hindusthaan, not deities. Deities were an after effect of Tantra. Caste systems are false additions. But people are stupid enough to accept it. Caste systems were perversions at best. Plus, the path the true Hinduism was taking was not sustainable with what was going on outside and within India. It's similar to how Sapiens killed the Neanderthals: "If you're not like us, you shouldn't exist; let's even things out".

Why are you studying something you don't like. CS is impossible without passion. Also, why do you expect a degree to give you a job. It won't work like that. Going forward you have to be exceptional at what you do, especially high stake jobs like programming. Plus a degree is useless if you wanna learn programming. Just pick a project and start doing it.

me get money, me heppi😂, aye?

Here's a new story for you. Crypto is dog shit. But, if enough people believe in dog shit, even that can be sold for a high price. You bought some dog shit for $1,000 , ten years later, you sell your dog shit for $1,000,000. You've basically stolen $999,000 from whoever bought into your dog shit. The cycle continues until it's not sustainable anymore.

city isn't a normal place to be. don't normalize it. If you have the means, get out of cities, live in nature. The kind of damage cities do to you long term isn't worth it. You get desentized to so many things, your health can take a massive hit.

@Amannl3in The irony here... You're looking forward to get a degree because it secures your job, not your skill. Plus, the social approval of how you're doing it the expected way. The issue here is not the lack of resources, it's your own self imposed limitations. Perhaps you haven't realized how futile colleges are for these things. I don't recommend it. When you join college you'll be learning from internet, except this time you have a framework, on what to learn. This framework is something you can create for yourself, just focus on doing projects, just be crystal clear about what you wanna create. This can take a few years to get clear about this. There's nothing wrong with spending 10 years learning art and not getting anywhere. It basically goes to show art have made you chill. This is not a bad thing, it's a much needed unlearning, of the past and it's rush. --- Art, programming can take many years, and it can vary a lot for each individual. From what you've said, you've a very unfocused vision on what you wanna create, you were talking about interior design, next you mention graphite pencils, then illustrations. I'm not saying being a generalist is bad, not knowing what you wanna create is a recepie for failure in these endeavors. Don't take it literally, I just wanna emphasize something deeper here. You need a certain kind of ego to do it. If you're someone who's obedient and listens to everyone in your world, you can't make art. Only you get to decide what you wanna create, the more you're influenced from the outside, the lesser the art in your creations. Hangout with those who do similar things(and those who do something higher/difficult for you), Discord communities, make friends, help newbies, seek help yourself. Open Source Communities are the definition of Communities. All this while clearly knowing what you want to create.

Just stand firm, they don't know any better. The whole existence of politics is a cancer, right/left is just drama, albeit a transition is happening in people's minds. An illusion of choice, here, that's what most voters are in it for. Environment is vastly different for every individual, brothers who grow up in the same house can turn out quite different.
-
It's mostly self reinforced values. So, you asking them to accept something evolved, is basically like asking them to die.
-
Nah, they won't take Leo seriously, they might take a right winger seriously though. That goes to show convincing is pointless.

Yes, system rejects those who don't respect it's rules. But who cares? What's the point of getting approval from a mediocre system. Nope, the latter is far better (I'm just lying to annoy you). They're not different, but you won't see it unless you go the other side. And actively remove the social conditioning, and if you live in the West, you're doomed from the start. Just double down on the other side unless you see it clearly. Either way, do what you want, it's not about doing what's "the" best. It's about doing what you can do best, at this point in time. If you think the former is better, I'd tell you, you don't know any better. And that's fine. Just live it.

We can't force someone to grow, you can tell them where you stand, and at the same time, give them space to grow.

Very limited definition, slaves are those whose will is conditioned to be something just below their tolerance level, which is everything. You being in a human body is slavery, what if you wanted to be an actual bird?
-
And @Daniel Balan All domesticated animals became so after centuries of enslaving them from the wild. Technically they are slaves, but they are happy too. But that doesn't make animal rearing any less unethical, I mean, Leo certainly can't, but you can, until you can't anymore. Don't forget human beings are beasts too, they just use the other animals in a cunning, self-deceiving way. Humans have built just too many systems, collective and individual, to a point where they forget they are animals, and they forget killing a human is nothing different from killing a chicken. Of course we kill to eat, to survive, sometimes we eliminate other humans who are too troublesome, and stay(stuck?) in tribes known as countries. And everything humans do is an extension of their survival, even getting enlightened, is part of survival. If Leo doesn't realize the truth that animal rearing is slavery, it makes his life harder. And if you were to realize it, you won't be able to rear them anymore. Getting enlightened and animal rearing is just the same, don't pay attention to anyone who says otherwise.

I'm 22 Recently been thinking, how can anyone immersed in solipsism bring a child into a world. I mean, not unless they are bored.
-
I disagree. @gettoefl Monastic life is much better. Monastic life is the one of the real ways to go intense on whatever you value. You can't solve a problem from the same level of mind that created it.

@Ninja_pig I get it, Engineering is actually fun, I do like it. I was just verifying if it was a purely money based decision. Glad you have an affinity for it. About Narmada Parikrama. Tell me what you think about it. I think you'll find more info from people who actually do it. Checkout RaghuRaahi's instagram page. P.S - this is that time of the year, to go parikrama, we're a bit late.
