@phoenix666 Yeah, I seemed to have had a massive ego backlash from this practice. I really tried pushing past it, but I kept running into massive rage which was causing me to become verbally abusive towards other people, which is why I stopped. I have been on a 4 day hiatus, but will be resuming tonight. Hopefully without any setbacks! -

@Lynnel I haven't had any headaches, but I had to skip some days of kriya. During some sessions, I literally couldn't continue the practice because I would get so aggravated I just had to quit in the middle. I would be filled with so much rage. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but this practice really seems to aggravate my ego. It makes me feel pissed off at everything lol. Never really felt this much rage with meditation. -

@okulele Just focus on the present moment. Whatever you are doing, do it with your full attention. Doesn't matter what. Sights, sounds, tactile sensations, smells, tastes, thoughts. The whole show! Be mindful of it all as much as you can. A miraculous world is waiting for you. -
Say I wanted to travel across the country for a couple weeks, what should I do about my meditation and yoga practice? It would be kinda hard to do yoga on the road. Any suggestions?

It was just the only thing that made sense to me after considering the other possibilities. When he says pause for chakra duration at Medulla, I assume he means just to focus and pause at the medulla for more than 2 seconds, thus extending the duration. Then you pause again, after you are done focusing on the medulla, sit in the stillness for a couple seconds then come back down through the chakras. Just wait until you get later in the book. There are some more things that aren't quite as clear. -

Tip: I noticed while in the middle of doing kriya pranayama 2, that the breath became very still and my attention naturally went toward the stillness. I would say that it's okay to end the technique early if your mind is already really calm and your breath becomes very subtle. Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see the point of continuing the technique anymore if you are naturally being pulled into the stillness. -

I was wondering if anyone might have any advice on this. If I am doing my routine at night, does that mean I should just skip short breath kriya pranayama? The book says if you practice at night to just add Yoni mudra to the end of your routine, but it doesn't say anything about short breath kriya. -

I have a zit that is literally right on my third eye. I must be focusing on my third eye too much lol. I do feel releases in the abdominal region though, especially when I am doing Maha Mudra. In your case, the skin peeling is probably just a coincidence or maybe related. I have no idea. It seems pretty tame to me, so I wouldn't be too worried about unless all your skin starts falling off. -

Yes, this is normal. Happens to me frequently. It means the practice is working. Expect a lot of weird shit to happen while doing Kriya. If you haven't seen Leo's video on the dark side of meditation I would highly recommend you watch it. He covers all the weird shit that could happen while doing these type of practices. The key with these type of experiences is just to surrender to it and allow it to happen, without making a big deal of it in your mind. It will pass. Definitely don't try to fight or resist it. Accept it. -

@PsiloPutty Same here. I can't even get to Level 1 of Kechari Mudra. I guess you can always cut the frenulum -

@herghly I do it eyes closed, which isn't too hard. Helps me be more concentrated. -

40mins Kriya. 1 hour mindfulness with labeling. A session with 20 minutes of concentration, then 15 minutes of mindfulness, and then I finish it off with 10 minutes of metta meditation. -

Yeah, I sure did. I felt a lot of anger almost full blown rage, which is really uncommon for me. Make sure to be mindful so you don't accidentally hurt someone while going through these purges, as they can get quite intense at times. -

Do those as preparatory exercises for your concentration practice, which should have been covered in lesson four. Do Nadi breathing then Ujjayi and then end it with concentration. -
onacloudynight replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I haven't really seen much benefits besides being able to enter deeper states of concentration. What I have really noticed is a lot of spiritual purification. It can be hell sometimes. I think one should get up to the third Kriya Pranayama before you start judging it or receiving a lot of benefits. It is too early to tell. Like Leo said, do it for a year and then judge it. -

Interesting a lot of people apparently have mood swings. Must come with the territory of this work. I wonder what the end goal is feeling wise? Obviously not to be attached to any feeling, but I would say feeling peaceful/happy the majority of time with occasional bouts of ecstasy to be a pretty good goal to shoot for. -
