I don't think it has anything to do with power...because power is an ego thing, and they seem to have very little of it, if at all. I was going to say maybe they want everyone to be influenced because it would make a more peaceful planet but that is also ego perhaps.. So maybe it just comes down to what Leo said above: love..?

Some people do..actually I was inspired to ask this question because I read a comment to an article on the internet where one person said: "because successful is more important than being happy...priorities!"
-
Ok

@kurt okay so you mean three things: 1) my understanding of spiral dynamics is distorted because orange ( the stage..not me lol) is not reduced only to tai Lopez lamborghinis 2) you are turquoise, so you understand there is nothing 'out there', everything is a label, including the label:' human species' 3) so everyone, including Gandhi, MLK etc has been through orange? Is that what you are saying?
-
are you sure about this? Some people never set a foot in orange because they know from intuition it's not worth it..I'm thinking about Gandhi, MLK and some other people I know..Then again I don't know their life story in detail so I'm not sure how true this is. If everyone in the world needs to go through orange we're fucked as a species. Or one could be in orange yet still be mindful about others and respect the environment? Or is that green already?

Haha that is such a cute face

that's a really good point; consciousness during sleep. is there such a thing? i have no idea either..
-
yes, i am doing some of that. And sorry but i didn't really understand the rock story what are you trying to say exactly?
-
yes, so' I' is aware that' I' is experiencing life, ... so, what is the 'I' that is looking at 'I' who experiences life? omg all of this is so abstract it hurts my brain lol
-
Yes good points. So that raises the question : who/ what are you? Okay I just read your answer again and actually you say you= consciousness. .but then where does consciousness come from ? why was there no consciousness before you or I were alive? but then you said 'you were before you were alive' > what does it mean exactly? was there consciousness before being alive? so many questions
-
I'm also struggling with this question so much. What was before you and I were alive? Ive always imagined the place before life was just an ' empty black space' but that is the brain trying to understand, to hold on to something, it's not true.. Also, when you are a new born you are not alive in the same way you are alive when you're older. Do you have consciousness when you are a new born? Because from what I understand, I can only say I am experiencing life if I am aware of it..and since I have no memory of my new born days, it's like I was not alive back then. I don't know. You need to define what life is first. What does it mean to be alive? What is alive and what is not?

@FindingPeace what would be an example of a cure for cancer bringing suffering? -
There's a guy in my life I respect and love immensely but he is at another stage in his life and our paths won't cross anymore. Yet I can't get him out of my mind, I crave his messages, his voice etc. It's a drug. Is there a thread on this already? How do I focus on my life and not on these thoughts about him all the time? Note. I do meditate everyday and sometimes even during the meditation it doesn't stop

Ok. thanks for the nice description

@Emerald Wilkins oh yes but I meant more in the sense of why is it part of the female archetype and what are concrete examples of it being expressed ?

Just tell them you'll call later ...and then never call

What's an example of non rational?

I don't agree.. My truth when I was a kid was that santa claus existed. But santa claus is not true (as I realised later). So to answer your question, I have no idea what the truth is

Why should we do anything in life if life is irrelevant and there is just emptiness?
-
How do you take the leap of faith? How do you find your true self? Is it doing enlightenment you mean?
-
It's in the title. Animals don't have an ego, why do we have one? Or do animals have an ego as well? Because the ego does not lead us to anything good in terms of fulfillement and peace- hapiness so why did evolution 'produce' human beings with an ego?
-
Wow, I really like your answer. Thank you wise cat. I wish i could like your post again twice. PS. I don't mind the penguins, it's cool.
-
To sum up, you're asking me to find my own truth here right? To accept that reality is empty and find how I fit in that emptiness?

How does one get over regret of wasting time? I should be able to let it go by now but it's always in the background of my head...its so sticky!
