  1. Consider why cops exist. You'll understand when an axe murderer is your neighbor. Now consider that on the global stage that there is no such thing as "cops". There is no greater power that regulates violence between states. Geopolitics is a lawless jungle and the natural condition is a zero-sum game. Tigers don't think twice about chasing of a rival off its territory because that is what they have to do. There are likewise complex but genuine reasons for US involvement in the Middle-East. You can only change the geopolitical climate by changing survival incentives. Technology and capitalism has made warmongering largely untenable for example due to its cost and destructive capability. In the past, war was profitable. African kingdoms would declare war just so they could capture slaves to sell and Vikings would pillage the English coast.
  2. I see guys more into abstract thinking compared to women but I don't think that women are necessarily less capable. There are plenty of female philosopher throughout history, though a minority. Women tend to be more contextual in their thinking, focusing more on concrete situations and relationships.
  3. Woke and conscious are two different things. Woke is more ideological and rooted in post-modernism and focuses a lot on deconstructing power relations while "conscious" is about an understanding of politics that centers epistemic and sociopolitical integrity/efficiency.
  4. I've been thinking about how to balance my perspective of martial arts as someone who trains twice a week and I think the conclusion I've come to is to essentially just not glorify it or make it this ego thing. The ability to commit violence is glorified because of how it can be effective for lower forms of survival but this pride gets attached by machoness. It is something I'm making an effort divorce myself from in the way that I perceive martial arts as I see it as insecure and fearful. Instead of trying to feel like a champion I aim to just enjoy it for what is worth, have fun and reap the benefits. Fuck it if I'm good at it or not.
  5. You need to survive some how. The point of having a life purpose is to align your life with your values, which includes what work you do. The benefit of work is that you get to contribute to society and it can be an avenue of personal development and mastery of a skill.
  6. Sexual asymmetry. You only need one guy to impregnate a hundred women. Women just need to select so men have to chase or they get none. Men generally live in relative sexual scarcity compared to women.
  7. I'll believe it when I see it. Fuck hype.
  8. Imagine breaking up with your partner because they cheated on you in VR Chat.
  9. Buttons will always be more convenient than physically interacting with a game regardless of price. There's a lot of potential though for various stuff but I doubt it will ever replace the keyboard. Too much hype. That's just chat rooms like Discord or VR Chat. It's nothing new and you don't need VR to partake. VR sex will be a thing though.
  10. I see that channel recommended a lot but I never click on it because it gives me a bad feeling and I now feel justified in my intuition. It feels very vindictive and the opposite of constructive. Like, how many videos can you make about dating if your priority is efficiency and integrity? Surely, you have to then acknowledge that too much theory becomes counter intuitive after a certain point. You can make endless videos essentially bitching though.
  11. What's a lab mommy? Besides, theres chemical bonding happening during the physical process of birthing if I recall correctly. You'll undermine that process with lab shit. Do they even have milk?
  12. The Musk thing is pretty blatant when you think about. Why does repopulating the earth require Musk specifically to breed exactly? Surely it would be more effective to just sponsor a bunch of families to have kids. Mormon polygamy just seems like an elaborate rationalizes for having a harem and sort of mini-cult essentially. Cake is yummy though.
  13. I don't know, just feels weird and kind of dehumanizing. That just my first reaction though. Like, how is the parent-child dynamic going to work if the baby hatches from a fake egg somewhere? Is the first thing the baby sees a nanny robot?
  14. I guess it will be some sort of post-scarcity society at that point. Not gonna lie, my initial reaction at lab babies is disgust and fear. I guess that is a very human reaction though. It's seems kind of sad in a certain respect to forego something as sacred, if you will, as pregnancy.
  15. What would it look like exactly for civilization to be sustained by technology as opposed to "organic" breeding like in the past.
  16. If I was you I would focus on escaping wage slavery first. Hardcore spiritual practice can come when you are sufficiently gorged on success and you have more time and financial freedom. You can bootstrap a rapping career by combining particular niches that require little start-up capital. https://www.actualized.org/insights/breaking-out-of-wage-slavery Alternatively you could renounce modern life and join a monastery of some kind though you'll have less freedom long-term with this plan.
  17. Meditation will help discipline your mind. If you want to get rid of sexual urges permanently you'll have to snip your balls off. It's easier to just accept your sexuality though. Masturbation is normal and healthy. If you masturbate too much your most likely just bored.
  18. Scars in media are typically signs of badassery. Like a scar that curves over the eye after fighting a dragon. Come to think of it, the only aesthetic scars are small thin ones. I have a huge scar on my leg and it is just a mess of irregular blotches of scar tissue.
  19. I think when it starts looking disfiguring that scars become unattractive just purely from an aesthetic perspective. It is not really going to elevate you in terms of attraction otherwise but it can add some mystique perhaps.
  20. Mating is monkey business. Give to god what is god's and to Ceasar what is Ceasar's. But a relationship can teach you compromise, communication and confront you with all your human insecurities and emotional blockades. There's value and necessity in living out the dream to a certain extent.
  21. Nobody gives a shit on the streets. People are too busy dealing with their own life. That is the natural state. It's a little weird to even think that that should be different, to be honest. If you got constant attention from strangers it would get old quickly. It's legit one of the downsides of being really famous or a really attractive woman.
  22. I used to fast regularly, You'll be surprised how much time you spend on eating and making food. Fasting days are a great day to focus on a less active interests and contemplation. It's quiet freeing in a sense to fast and your energy levels don't suffer too much when fasting in my experience. I once climbed a mountain while fasting though I did feel lethargic doing it admittedly. You also save a bit of food and money when you don't eat. That's why really poor people fast a lot.
  23. I kind of agree with this. The factors that enable an authoritarian like Trump isn't unique to him. When Trumpism fails some other authoritarian will probably show up. We also see authoritarianism in the rise in Europe as well. It's a societal sliding scale so focusing on Trump specifically isn't as productive as focusing on the big picture of democracy and upholding checks and balances. I don't believe there's any difference in actuality but it comes of as just a deranged woke knee-jerk reaction to Trump. Fatherless college kids yelling at clouds. Laymen haven't been properly introduced to the big picture as an idea. It's just about presentation.
