  1. I found this ChatGPT response interesting:
  2. Access to porn is positively correlated with a decrease in rapes and an increase in emotional closeness. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/all-about-sex/201601/evidence-mounts-more-porn-less-sexual-assault
  3. Porn is largely a sexual fantasy. It's hardly realistic depending on what you watch.
  4. You want to bootstrap with losers, addicts, the mentally ill and the desperate. You want an MLM/ponzi scheme style of recruitment so you can outsource and up-size at the same time. Then as you amass wealth and influence you honey up some celebs and politicians and treat them like royalty so you can leech of their status and wealth for more even more influence and power. Your followers will be on the call to pamper, sleep with and in general be the slaves of these elites. Eventually you want to use your wealth and power to fuse your organization with the government/mega corporations as a provider of luxury mega parties for the ultra rich and legal slaves. That's when you will have made it. You'll have more money than you know what to do with, beautiful women will answer to your every beck and call and you live a life of lavish luxury and you can call in favors to change the world at the snap of a finger.
  5. @Hojo I live close to a military training ground. I hear gun shots during the week days and when I go for walks during open hours I see large pathways carved by tank threads and spent casings everywhere jammed into the earth. There is no lie. Money is just a means of survival. If you undermine survival, for example security, then you'll see those aforementioned tanks come into use. Ukraine hungers more for artillery shells than money. Collective behavior is shaped by survival incentives. Morals are themselves are glorified rules for survival. There is no rule in the universe that says slavery is inherently bad for example. That is why morals and survival incentives intersect. Like women's rights and capitalism.
  6. Society has a bigger problem with escapism in general, which porn falls under, which is to say that too much entertainment is wasting your time and potential long-term. All genuine criticism of porn is of it being escapist in my opinion. How many guys grew up gaming and severely neglected gaining social skills and milestone experiences? Escapism is everywhere on the one hand and on the other culture no longer mentors young people about how to engage with life. No teaching men how to be a man or giving meaningful advice. How many of you have thought that when you have kids you will make sure to properly mentor your child and regulate their internet use? Because you know from living it that having no guidance and unrestricted access to the internet makes your life worse in significant ways. Just think about it, if you have time to watch too much porn then you probably don't have much going on. That is way more concerning to me than the fact that your watching all of that porn in of itself. Gaming, porn and escapism are the natural conclusion of a lack of vision and a overly lax culture (and a massive entertainment industry).
  7. If you remove the lower levels of a jenga tower it crumbles. Obviously. That doesn't make it fake. Development implies building on top of each in layers. You can't build a sky scraper without a first floor. For example, you can't have women's rights if you can't handle basic survival, which is why women's right doesn't truly appear till Stage Orange because only then there is an abundance of resources. The cultural structures of Blue dissipate as they are no longer necessary. But if for example a massive war breaks out you'll see the girl bosses quickly turn into house wives or leave the country outright like in Ukraine. It's funny, because I mostly see people from third world countries hating on Spiral Dynamics.
  8. Development is relative. The West is Orange-Green while the rest of the world is Blue or Blue-Orange/red. Give the resources and technology the West has to Russia or some African country and they would immediately use it to conquer their neighbors and destabilize the region/world. Israel has nukes but doesn't use them but give nukes to Palestine and Israel is gone the next day. The kind of capitalistic exploitation you see is a more developed version of conquest and plunder (value extraction). It's a softer version of Mongol invaders burning down your town, slaughtering all the men, raping the women, hanging babies from trees like Christmas decoration and wearing the ripped out fetuses of pregnant women as necklaces. Europe geography created a boiler room for development and innovation as a bunch of countries that where very close to each had to compete for survival. That is one of the main reasons why the West is relatively more developed than the rest of the world.
  9. The only alternative to not taking responsibility for your politics is that corrupt people do. Politics is the governing of how we survive as a collective and is therefor a channel for wealth and power by proxy. If you don't use it consciously you use it selfishly by default. That is the situation. The British haven't been taking responsibility for their politics and having Tories (right wing) in power for a decade+ has run their country down. Americans were largely irresponsible with Trump. 1/3 of Americans didn't even bother voting last election.
  10. I'm firmly in the camp of "who gives a shit?" when your general lifestyle is healthy. But you do you.
  11. This is just not true. America has helped lead the most prosperous and peaceful age in human history. This notion that all it does is destroy is much more descriptive of Russia, who threatens the world with nuclear escalation. But I don't see that energy for Russia. Of course America has flaws and cringe moments, and the excesses of unchecked capitalism is becoming increasingly apparent, but this energy just isn't proportional. It's still one of the most moral and constructive societies in human history. The problem is that it just doesn't match up to your high moral standards of one million years into the future. Like, sorry dude.
  12. But they will shoot someone if they are a serious threat. Violence is necessary to a certain degree to maintain stability. Moral platitudes will get you no where. You are not even willing to entertain the basics.
  13. It so boring and dry to worry about how music affects your health. There so much bigger fish when it comes to the mental health than worrying about whether or not you should be listening to Slipknot. Not that I necessarily buy this stuff about vibrations and shit. It's kinda silly to try and maintain this "positive vibe" 24/7. That is just not how humans work. It's natural to feel negative feelings something. Like, why is it such a problem if you feel sad or angry throughout your day? It strikes me as this New Age dogma of "positive vibes only".
  14. Most people don't even know that personal-development is an option that exists or they think it is too good to be true and think it is a scam.
  15. Consider why cops exist. You'll understand when an axe murderer is your neighbor. Now consider that on the global stage that there is no such thing as "cops". There is no greater power that regulates violence between states. Geopolitics is a lawless jungle and the natural condition is a zero-sum game. Tigers don't think twice about chasing of a rival off its territory because that is what they have to do. There are likewise complex but genuine reasons for US involvement in the Middle-East. You can only change the geopolitical climate by changing survival incentives. Technology and capitalism has made warmongering largely untenable for example due to its cost and destructive capability. In the past, war was profitable. African kingdoms would declare war just so they could capture slaves to sell and Vikings would pillage the English coast.
  16. I see guys more into abstract thinking compared to women but I don't think that women are necessarily less capable. There are plenty of female philosopher throughout history, though a minority. Women tend to be more contextual in their thinking, focusing more on concrete situations and relationships.
  17. Woke and conscious are two different things. Woke is more ideological and rooted in post-modernism and focuses a lot on deconstructing power relations while "conscious" is about an understanding of politics that centers epistemic and sociopolitical integrity/efficiency.
  18. I've been thinking about how to balance my perspective of martial arts as someone who trains twice a week and I think the conclusion I've come to is to essentially just not glorify it or make it this ego thing. The ability to commit violence is glorified because of how it can be effective for lower forms of survival but this pride gets attached by machoness. It is something I'm making an effort divorce myself from in the way that I perceive martial arts as I see it as insecure and fearful. Instead of trying to feel like a champion I aim to just enjoy it for what is worth, have fun and reap the benefits. Fuck it if I'm good at it or not.
  19. You need to survive some how. The point of having a life purpose is to align your life with your values, which includes what work you do. The benefit of work is that you get to contribute to society and it can be an avenue of personal development and mastery of a skill.
  20. Sexual asymmetry. You only need one guy to impregnate a hundred women. Women just need to select so men have to chase or they get none. Men generally live in relative sexual scarcity compared to women.
  21. I'll believe it when I see it. Fuck hype.
  22. Imagine breaking up with your partner because they cheated on you in VR Chat.
