  1. I have a friend who has adhd and trains his mind 1-2 hours a day to keep focus on his goals. He uses this energy and puts it into his business and it involves a lot of connecting with other people, marketing, planning and practical things. His mental training involves training to focus his attention via meditation and programming his mind via affirmations and visualisation. He avoids social media and youtube. He has found his niche which fits his diagnosis and character best and it seems to weaken the the main symptoms of his condition overall. this is specific to his case. This doesn't mean you shouldn't try medication but maybe there are some avenues left unexplored so you can use aspects of your disorder to work for you as well.
  2. In higher states of consciousness you can clearly see that there is no you and nothing and at the same time you see form (thoughts, sight, taste etc occuring in nothing and know it. There is no loop by being all of it. @Leo Gura would you explain the jist of it this way as well or am I missing something?
  3. @Leo GuraYour latest post about the grift of Clavicular reminds me of a new age friend with whom I'm working with. He is in the upper 10 percent of looks, a very skilled leader and speaker, also my team leader, leads a new age project with 1.4k followers, 2/3 of them are women, is extremely extroverted, has adhs and we meet on events on weekends maybe 20-30 girls (men not counted) personally. He thinks his success in business and with women comes only from following LoA and the hermetic principles and crystall shrined. He also promotes them this way. Other people around are so foolish and believe that and wonder why they still such with women and are not capable of understanding the truth of it cause of their new age believes. I see that he has parts in him which can bring him like other successfull people the success he wants but also he is so deluded in this area and I think that this actually helps him that everything might work out. I find it so interesting how the mind works and how it plays out in real life. If you are interested I can elaborate certain points
  4. @Leo GuraI'm practicing tibetan buddhism, especially tantra meditations. I recently found out that the most advanced techniques use the same energy channels as in kriya yoga. One particuliar is has a lot in common with Lahiri's spinal breathing from the energy channels over the breath to the visualization. I find that very interesting.
  5. Hey guys, I need your help. I've grown up without an adequate father role model and I'm looking to change that and integrate this part of my psyche. I'm looking for good sources of healthy masculinity to integrate. This can be youtube channels and videos which treat the subject connecting to your masculine side, healthy role models and books and articles. Exersizes and practices are also welcome but please keep the focus on the subject and don't let this thread be side tracked by distracting debates. I think it would be very helpful to others as well who have similiar challenges. Thx in advance
  6. I will check it out. Thank you!
  7. I'm have been doing some of those. I've been disciplining myself and changing thinking patterns and doing spiritual work. I've set loose goals but after reflection I think the were too loose. I will define them narrower and be more specific. Hehe, I came up with a similiar list when I contemplated the subject. I think I will focus on each principle for a certain amount of time like a month in turn so that I'm not all over and can work through other points as well. Thank you for the inspiration. I have Arnold Schwarzenegger's book "be useful" on my shelf. He talks a lot about how he handled challenges he encountered in his live. I read about a third of it. I will put it on my list. I'm also very active in dating. It's a steep learning curve and I've inproved a lot since last year.
  8. @Leo Guralas sry, can't delete you here @darkspring001I would be very careful. I know of a case of a schizophrenic person who started believing he wife was cheating on him and couldn't dissuaded by any means and eventual he died in a shoot out with the police because he went berserk.
  9. Here is a clip with Maersheimer's analysis on Iran from the full video which was released 3 days ago. This gives you a good overview about what the US and Israel are trying to do. Edit: I've found this interview from Jeffrey Sachs. I haven't been through it now but it seems to give a good perspective on how we got here from last years events and what's about to happen.
  10. Last thursday during a talk at the freemeasons I met a girl I find cute. During the conversation a friend who drove me home stepped in and asked if we want to exchange numbers and we agreed. After this I didn't feel in the right mind to answer and then I was 3 days very busy and forgot about it. Today I want to write her a message. What do you think about this one? "Hey, I'm .... the circus padagogue from last time at the freemeasons. I find you quite interesting. Do you want to grab a coffee these days?" This circus padagogue thing was very funny at the event because when we introduced ourselves we had two of us in this small round and it became a running gag during the evening. Is this short text enough or short I first start a conversation? If so how can I do so without friendzoning me?
  11. Thx, got a date in some time
  12. I haven't got time to check them out but after you took the effort for this long reply I want at least make a short reply and tell you that you changed my mind. Your reasoning seems sound to me.
  13. I'd be looking for better sources than these channels. Why this general was purged and what happened exactly is unknown and those channels spread speculation and tell you it's facts. I'd check at least what the mainstream media have to offer to cross reference the news. No offense, but I've already seen this unreliable news sourcing when you posted years ago about ukraine.
  14. I know psychedelics do not raise your base state but the awakenings and insights from it are often superior to normal retreats. That everything is love is a rather low hanging fruits on psychedelics. Ralston has changed his mind on the differentiation between nothingsness and form and it's absoluteness after his recent awakening last year or the year before, so he can be wrong.
  15. @Leo GuraDo you mean extracted?
  16. @Leo GuraWhen I cannot delete what was written above. Anyways, I've wanted to share some Feynman videos for weeks so I'm glad the subject came up. Here you go: The second one will be uplpaded if I find it between the trash from the algorithm. What I find astounding is how his mind works and where deep thinking coupled with imagination power can lead to.
  17. @Leo GuraWhen I get married for conformist reasons I try fulfill an ideal society planted in my mind and I don't question if marriage is real necessary or if I'm just trying to keep up an old tradition. I don't question what the concept of being married actualy is nor what it means deeply. One way is when I don't marry out of conformity I've made clear what marriage actualy means and decide afterwards. Another way is I would really do it out of love and not to do it for another end. Both ways are not mutual exclusive. I see that I'm not truthful to my own feelings when I would marry out of conformity.
  18. @Leo GuraI contentplated comformity and my insight is that it is sacrificing truth and not questioning it for survival advantages. You adjust your thinking and behaviour for the group you aim to be part of or you have preconceived notions/ a world view you're already biased towards and you comform to it every time it comes up in the mind and so it gets hardened. One conforms easily a thousand times a day in various ways and degrees from by not telling what one really thinks about situations, going/falling into social roles, accepting authorities, not researching topics, hanging out with people etc. If one did question the one particuliar thing one conformes to one probably will get shocked and be confronted to changing the behaviour and adjust and sacrifice survival advantages. However in some cases it is impossible to change it because there are no alternatives at the moment or in long term because some of them need to be in place for society to function like shitting in a toilet, the law, etc. I personally notice how I often fall into comformity when buisiniss associates rationalising their greedy ways of doing buisines and marketing, new agers telling some shit about mind over body or spirits and energies or family members talking from their pov which economic policy was best. I do all of that too and also by not saying a word I'm comforming too. Therefore truth is the big thing here and being silent is a form of deception and falsehood. It is however in some cases more truthful to be silent because there are other angles of truth like the truth of consequences. That means what would happen when people hear the truth and fight it and/or cannot handle it (almost all to some degree). That points to wisdom in when it is best to conform and when not. Another angle is that all this can be decribed as being biased toward ones ways of surival. So finally comformity is necessary but one can get more concious to get rid of some big chunks if he or she is willing to take the pain of truth and be willing to take action by thinking independently over the years. @Leo Guraany comments and points I should go deeper into or habe missed?
  19. @Leo Gura But Leo, there are real issues with sloppily regulated immigration. The country where I live has more than one million people from syria and about half a million afghani refugees. Many are nice people and just want to work and prosper. However not all but a big minority of them bring medievil value systems with them and treat their women and children in inapropriate ways for our time like not allowing them contact with males or preventing contact with people from outside their ethnicity. Many of them are stage purple red and blue and are actively trying to resist integration and put pressure on those who want to. I can tell you from personal experience that there are real problems. When I was a teenager most of my friends were muslim or had a migration background. I also have a migration background from my fathers side. I also had a religious muslim stepfather from Ghana and was brought up multiculturally. We were living in a big city with 2 million in the metropolitian area and my stepfather had really trouble to find a mosque where they didn't preach to avoid contact with non muslims and how wicked the western society is and hence should be avoided. I also had some african relatives living near by and they were treating the only girl they had besides a bunch of boys really poorly as cleaner and babysitter with little freedom. I also had a friend from marroco and he was married off when he was 18 and some other guys I was friends with during childhood got their wifes through arranged marriages from the countries their parents were from which makes integration harder. Some of them weren't my best friends but guys you hang up with because some of them were neighbors and friends of neighbors. We had also people from the salafia movement in the neighborhood trying to indoctrinate some of the poorer children and I have to tell you even though this movement creates other problems, that for a few of them it was a good developement because it was relatively a step up from stage red andd their stage red environment and they stopped being violent. When I was 19 I quit contact with most of them completely. The majority of immigrants does not do the things I mentioned above but it depend however I think it is more likely that if it happens they tolerate it if it's done by their relatives and if it's it's common not necessarily from the culture their from but from their specific socioeconomic niche where they are from the other country and then they don't see any problem. On the other hand Immigrants from these countries with higher education who come here to study usually don't have these problems or they are less common. This is also the case with better educated people here so it's also important to give them possibilities to climb up the social ladder. However the slow fall of living standard and economic decline as well as the growing gap between rich and poor will make all those problems worse due to the lack of possibilities and ressources. It is also often the case that here in Germany stage blue/orange people from areas with less contact tipically overreact and stereotype all muslims or people behave this way even though isn't the case and it depends on the specific background. I also want to add that just happens to backfire if you try to get cheap slave workers from the most poor developed areas and spent decades sagregrate them from the rest of the population because you expect them to leave so miss to create a appropriate integration system.
  20. Last weekend I met a girl at a rave and got her number. I haven't texted her and she wrote me today this (translated into english): "Hey, here is .... Did you have a nice sunday and start into the week? I find it nice having met you. I thought that maybe we could keep each other up to date abou new raves, exstatic dance, yoga, meditation. I'm also open to other topics." I'd interprete this that she has no interest but maybe I'm wrong. should I still ask her if she wants to grap a cup of coffee or come with me to an event? First after the night ended I thought it went well but haven't got the theoretical knowledge of game and after watching some videos I noticed lots of mistakes even though the vibe was very good during the night until it dropped at bit when I learnt that within 13 hours she was doing shrooms, mdma and some speed and then more mdma in front of me. The next morning I saw her and two other people from the night before and hung out a bit and she was really hung over and we talked only little. So I don't think that too much has stuck in her mind of night but it was fun. However I'd use this as opportunity to get experience. Should I still ask her for a date? I could answer "sure. There is this ... workshop this week. Do you want to accompany me? :)" or should I just straight ask her if she does want to go out?
  21. I'm a bit surprised. A woman I know just from one meet up at a friends house is looking for companionship this night. She is slightly crazy and she's gonna pick me up from the gym. Let's see whats gonna happen..
  22. She send me a link with interesting events this weeks to choose from. Turns out that this week is a special sound event with workshops, concerts and exhibitions spread all over the town. It will be hard to find something close to my location. They are mostly 20/30 mins away. The closer ones are just art exhibitions. I will probably choose one thats more fun but further away or I'll try to make it fun.
  23. @meta_maleIn this case it is really worth gold to understand what is a good move or a bad one. There are things to know which would otherwise need unecessary mistakes to learn from.
  24. So my superman panties will work? The thing is, that there are spots that are maybe 30-40 min away from my place that are really good but I'm not sure if it's better just to go to the cetral district of my city or just a location near by. There is even an event called "sound bath" which is in a big hippy tent this friday which is 35km away and might be over kill but would be a perfect event.
  25. Yes, I got a positive answer! She answered almost emediately that she's interested and it would be best to meet spontaneously the next days. Do you know what would be a good idea to go? Just coffee or a bar? Or just an interesting event? Should the location be close to my home? What steps should I inform myself next? Thank you all for your advice. 😊
