The last couple days I didn't do any seated meditation. I did around an hour where I did my best to meditate but it was difficult because I had to keep crossing the road and stuff. It would make it easier walking alone far away from people. I decided to put a hold on seated meditation because I have some lower back pain and plan to go to my first jiu jitsu class today. I wanted to recover a bit of my back health before the class today. Hopefully it holds up haha. After the class I plan to meditate walking back and forth in my house and switch to visualizing everything I learned in the class. I want to see if I can improve faster than other people going 1x per 2 weeks but visualizing hours every day on what I learned in that one class.

Hello, I will be using this as a space for me to write about the meditation and video creating work I am doing. I just created my first YouTube video in a long time and I plan to start meditating consistently starting with 2 hours per day. Here is the video I made I think it is ok for not making many videos before. I know I still have a lot to learn. I would like to make it a lot more entertaining and engaging. I made it yesterday afternoon and started meditating this morning with 20 minutes. I still have 1 hour, 40 minutes to do today. I am feeling really good today. I think because I finally released this video which I have been wanting to do for a really long time. I went to bed 1 hour later than normal and woke up 45 minutes earlier than normal. I will give an update whenever I have anything of interest to bring up. Feel free to give any comments or tips! .

After sleeping on it, I think it is best to limit my sitting time and spend most of the time doing walking meditation to keep my body from getting too stiff and injuring my back. I have had some good experiences with walking meditation last summer so I will switch my normal 2 hour a day sitting meditation to 2 hours of walking meditation in preparation for my solo retreat. I watched some videos on lower back health and it seems it isn’t just sitting in a proper posture and doing a few back exercises over 5 weeks will let me sit for 3 weeks without risk of injuring my back. The back needs lots of consistent movement and light strengthening over a couple years then I should be able to sit much longer without pain. -
Hello, I took 3 weeks off work in July and would like to plan out a solo meditation retreat for myself. I would like to spend most of the time meditating. One issue that I thought might come up is back pain from sitting too much. I have been doing 2, 1 hour sits per day most days for 3-4 weeks and have a bit of low back pain from that. I would like to go a day without eating or drinking and just meditate for 16 hours straight at least once and it would be nice not to have back or knee pain. A solution I thought of is I could switch between seated meditation and hatha yoga like some sun salutations or walking. I could do some days of driving out to a secluded park and spending the whole day walking and meditating which should be better on my back. Does anyone have any other solutions for this? I am not sure if anyone had any benefits from massage or strengthening to help low back pain from sitting a lot. While seated I will be doing mindfulness meditation with labeling nearly the same as Leo describes in his video. While walking I like to ask myself variations of this question: "Is it possible to be completely at piece with my experience right now? Then see if it is actually possible by being at peace. Also I like to do the exercise from the "guided exercise for realizing you are god" video as I walk. I can also of course do the mindfulness meditation while walking too. Anything I should keep in mind while planning this out? I got a new batch of 5 MEO DMT I will test out this weekend. I haven't tripped in 2 years but I plan to experiment a bit with it during the 3 weeks. I might want to have some scheduled time for writing down insights that come to me any my experience day by day. I am also considering traveling for a few days to some nice parks. Let me know any suggestions of things I could consider.

Does meditating and fasting make you eat less over time? I have been meditating 2 hours a day for over 3 weeks and didn't notice a difference in the amount I ate. Last time I tried fasting 1x per week, I lost 10 pounds and I am already very skinny. I would rather not lose weight. I don't really think someone has gone 1 year without eating or drinking and still be alive. It seems like a story people want to believe or someone wants to feel special so they try to get people to believe they can and have done it. When I was a kid I thought I had breathed underwater but that didn't actually happen in reality. -
Yesterday I went indoor rock climbing in the afternoon with some people from work. I was feeling really tired after. I meditated in the morning for an hour and from around 8 to 9pm then went to bed and woke up without an alarm at around 4am. I was very tired and couldn't get up or fall asleep until around 6am when I had to get up for work so I didn't meditate this morning. This is the first time I have felt tired on days after I have completed 2 hours of meditation over the last month. Going to bed even earlier might help a little since if I wake up early and can't fall asleep I could force myself to meditate for an hour then go back to bed for a while. I enjoyed yesterday's mindfulness meditations a lot more than when I was doing the mantra meditation I was doing last week.

I didn't meditate last night because it was getting late and I was tired. I also didn't film a video. I have an idea for my videos going forward. I will do 1 minute insights where I share an insight and explain it within 1 minute. Here are some off the top of my head: Doing 2 hours of mindfulness meditation per day is worth it Happiness is proportional to how much you accept your current experience Love is how much you accept things the way they are 10 minutes a day of exercise is enough to be fit You can choose to think thoughts that make you happy. Negative motivation can be replaced with positive motivation This morning I did mindfulness meditation for the first time in a week and I feel energized now. The time flew by quickly for this hour. I did stop in the middle when I heard some rain to go out and close my car windows. I did it while following the labeling technique though. I feel great and I am looking forward to continuing with 2 hours a day of mindfulness meditation

Everything is perfect when you stop favoring one thing over another. As your love for what is true approaches infinity, you see what exists is perfection. -
I did just want to give an update on how my meditation as been going this week. I have been doing mantra meditation and I feel much more tired than the 2 weeks of mindfulness meditation. I slept 7.5 hours last night and feel more tired than when I was getting 6-6.5 hours per night the last couple weeks before. I have not been able to focus well during the meditations. After 30 minutes or so I will get distracted without realizing it. I might even check my phone and start playing a game without realizing. While doing mindfulness meditation I wasn't entering much of a meditative state but I was feeling much better emotionally throughout the day with more energy and less sleep than this week. After today I will go back to mindfulness meditation and see if it gets better again. I might set a challenge of doing a 10 minute upper body and a 10 minute lower body workout every day along with 2 hours of mindfulness meditation. I will put a lot of effort into sitting with as little strain on my back as possible to prepare for my solo meditation retreat I have planned.

I booked 3 weeks off of work starting in 5 weeks on Saturday (First day off July 5th). I will use the time leading up to it to prepare my body for a lot of sitting. I would like to meditate as long as possible during that 3 week break. I might still play some video games on Saturday with my Uncle like I usually do and go rock climbing for a couple hours on Sunday but the rest of the time I just want to be focused on meditating as much as possible. It might look like this on a typical day: 4:30am -5:35 wake up and meditate 1 hour before leaving my bed. 5:35-6:30 shower, cook for the day, eat breakfast, drink water instead of coffee. 6:30-12:30 meditate. If I need a break I can go for a walk and still follow the meditation technique mentally. 12:30-1:30 - heat up and eat my food mindfully. Clean up 1:30-6:30 - meditate. If I need a break I can go for a walk and still follow the meditation technique mentally. 6:30-7:30 - heat up and eat my food mindfully. Clean up 7:30-8:00pm text my girlfriend / screen time 8:00pm - 9:30pm If I need groceries for the next day I will go shop mindfully otherwise meditate 9:30pm - 4:30am sleep Up to 13.5 hours Also I do have some 5-MEO dmt I could use. I haven't tripped for 3 years.

Something clicked for me when driving to work this morning. It is the best choice to choose love in most situations. Love your fear, love your shame, love your hate, love your sadness love your weaknesses, love your life, love the current situation, love your choices, love your suffering love your job love your possessions, love the people in your life love everything as it is. Love is just knowing the truth of it and allowing it to be as it is.

I did an hour of mantra meditation this morning and my third eye is throbbing now 9 hours later. Hopefully that is a good thing. I guess I will find out.

I made 2 videos yesterday evening. The guided meditation is pretty close to how I meditate to get the results I get. I didn't add any music on purpose even though it might make a more pleasant meditation. I don't meditate with relaxing music and I think you will not get the same effects as without it so I don't want do dumb it down for people too much. Hopefully someone gets some benefit from it. Both videos have 0 views right now haha. My goal for this week is to do mantra meditation 2 hours a day 1 hour in the morning 1 hour in the evening in an attempt to get vivid dreams that will predict the stock market. I had 5 of these dreams in the past that were all accurate although it does take some interpretation to understand them, it wasn't that abstract and fairly clear to me what they were getting across.
-
I meditated 2 hours every day for the last week doing the 4 techniques I shared in episode 2. I still have an hour to do later today. I plan to film some more videos later today. I plan to do a guided meditation, a separate video on how the week went and my next challenge, go over how I developed vivid dreams with a mantra meditation and predicted the stock market based on my dreams correctly 5 times in a row. I will focus on just doing the mantra meditation 2x 1 hour meditations per day next week and see if I can get the vivid dreams back and get some stock market predictions coming up.

I showed my 2 videos to some co workers and I got some great ideas from them for improving. I will redo the episodes and jump right into the meditation and probably have separate videos for explaining for people that want that. I can make it more interesting by having some photos or infographics, or zooming in or out come up throughout the video. Also I can gesture with my hands more. I could make it much shorter and separate the information in these videos into more videos that just cover one certain topic so people can pick what they want to watch and not listen to parts they don't care about. I will also get several videos ready to release all at once so people can go from one video to the next if they find it interesting. I will see if I can refilm these episodes today in a more entertaining, concise and organized way. Then I will have something better to share with my co workers, friends and family.

Meaning is something you are imagining. There is no purpose to it but you can have fun doing it if you want. -
Hehehehe Episode 2 is uploaded!

I am looking forward to making a video today. I have been feeling good today and looking back on the week, I had a really nice Mothers day with my family and yesterday I had a great time with another part of my family where we went out for dinner and did an escape room. I think meditation really changed those experiences with my family because when I look back on it, I had a much better time than usual. I only did 1 hour yesterday but did 1 hour in the morning and plan to do 2 hours later today to make up for the hour missed yesterday.

I have been meditating 2 hours every day since May 8th doing mindfulness meditation so 5 days. I haven't been able to get into a very deep state yet. usually I break it up into around 3 sits I will go through a phase of getting into a light concentrated state then after around 20-30 minutes it feels like my willpower runs low and it is hard to keep on task. I have been going to bed an hour late many days because I push off meditating till later and I have naturally been getting up 30-60 minutes before my alarm which is interesting. I have been feeling a bit more conscious throughout the day. As I drive I notice the color of the trees more. I haven't really gotten into a deep enough state so that meditation is effortless. I believe that when I release my video on Wednesday I will have the solution for this. I will add 3 techniques to my practice. The 3 techniques: 1. There is a breathing technique I have used quite a bit before that seems to quickly and easily get me into a relaxed, concentrated state. I will explain how to do it in the video. Then I will move onto the next technique 2. Mantra meditation. Repeating a mantra in my mind is super easy for my to focus on and seems to drown out other distractions. It allows me to go much deeper in meditation. 3. The forgetting technique from Leo's "guided exercise for realizing you are god" video. This allows you to focus better after forgetting things you didn't realize you were keeping track of. After doing these 3 techniques, I plan to do my normal mindfulness meditation. This should set me up for a home run of mindful sitting and multiply the effects many times over.

Hehe yes it was the first time I have used a green screen. It arrived the same day I filmed and I figured out how to get it working. It went quite smoothly and it looks a lot better than what the background would have looked like filming there. My next video I will explain how to make the meditation technique 10x more powerful then the 3rd week 10x more powerful than that If you are interested, stay tuned haha.

Do mudras really make a noticeable difference? I haven't experimented with them before. I will try it out when I have a bit of time. Hopefully tonight. -
Yea money doesn't do much for you if you can already afford rent and food and save a bit of money every month. I wouldn't trade even 5 years of aging for $20 million. Maybe 1-2 years.

I tried strong determination sitting just now. I didn’t watch the video you shared past the first couple minutes but what I did is just make sure I move as little as I can. I set a timer instead of an alarm because I wanted to be able to sit longer without being distracted if I want to. I stopped after 1.5 hours. For me I felt heightened emotional sensations in my heart then in my belly fairly early on. I started dosing off after a while then being jolted back awake when I realized that was happening. During 2 daydreams that I had there would be a phrase one character says to another like “have you woken up yet” and he is holding someone that is asleep but moving trying to wake up. Then that recontextualized to remind me that I am asleep and need to wake up now. I received a burst of energy and became much more focused. I could feel clear sensations in my ribs connecting to the spot just above my belly button. I imagined god saying the same phrase “have you woken up yet?” In a tone like he would not be surprised if I had. I focused on the present moment and responded. “Not yet, but I am ready” I didn’t get much more present from then on, the state eventually started to wain and I stretched and stopped the meditation session. -

I have done this several times but it has been probably a year or more since I did it. It was a much different experience for me than doing mindfulness meditation for an hour. There are times where I would feel waves of emotions feeling like they wanted to throw me off my seat. I found some coping mechanisms that helped like counting my breaths when I needed some relief. Usually at the end I felt refreshed like I was cleaned out from the inside. Maybe I will try it again today and see how it goes. -
I joined a discord group of Buddhists to see their perspective on what makes a good life and satisfaction. If I ask about wanting anything such as wanting an increased baseline consciousness or to plan out a fulfilling life, I get the same sort of answer. The answer I receive is something like: Practice cultivating the feeling of fulfillment in each moment. Eventually those concepts of purpose and long term goals will appear as unnecessary clutter. I am not sure if this philosophy is common for Buddhists or it is just this group but it seems like they are taking this lesson a bit too far. I see how it can be beneficial to reframe things to remove discomfort and be happy now but doing this as a one size fits all answer to everything seems a bit much. It appears they are desiring not to desire anything difficult so they will be comfortable and happy all the time. I don't see this working very well long term although there are many ways people live that are much worse. Does anyone have any opinion on this?
