  1. It doesn't matter, none of that matters, it's all human-generated beliefs coming from the mind's futile attempts to make sense of reality. Wherever you face, you're facing the Infinite.
  2. Hegel got quite a lot right, and I think your proposition that 'one is always in a state of imperfection' is incorrect. There is an end-goal to this process of self-realization, or better yet, there are two points, between which the process oscillates cyclically. The process itself is the state of perfection, as the fundamental opposition - the one between pure being and pure nothing - is both initiated and resolved outside of time. His philosophy is incomplete, however, as he failed to see the major cause and consequence of the Absolute's unity - Love. So, according to Hegel, we can use assume that in the beginning there was nothing, so pure nothing is our starting point. But nothing can only be a nothing in relation to something that is not nothing - so this pure nothing immediately implies the existence of its own negation - which is pure being. The same logic applies if we assume that pure being was the first. Both pure being and pure nothing - imply and negate each other. So now we have these two abstractions, opposed and seemingly paradoxical in relation to each other. The only way to resolve the paradox is their union. They are defined by the same attribute - the very implication and negation of the other is their only defining trait, as nothing external to these abstractions can be referenced at this point. They are one and the same, yet they are not. How is this resolved? How do they achieve union and resolution? That's where the answer comes - Love - the primary derivation of the Absolute. Pure being can only become its opposite, if it negates itself in favor of the other. If it gives itself to the other, becomes the other, and in so doing negates itself, it dies. This is what even in the human experience is defined as love, when brought to its finality. Giving of yourself. Giving yourself. And when you give all that you are, you cease to exist, for you've given everything, and have now become something else. The same happens from the point of pure nothing. By negating itself, it becomes pure being. In this process, we reach the union of the Absolute. This union is accomplished through Love. The Absolute generates Love as a distinct abstraction from itself, yet it is this same abstraction of Love that allows the Absolute to be what it is - absolute Oneness, so it is not entirely distinct. Love is the process, and the Absolute's Union is the goal of existence. Love, once given existence by the Absolute, finds itself adrift, and in order to do what it must, it needs to know itself. So it gives rise to multiplicity - space, time, experience and the other particularities of existence. Love needs multiplicity, because in order to know itself, it needs to create an illusion where it can pretend it is something it's not. It comes to knows itself by coming to know what it is not. And the opposite of love is self-interest, selfishness. Where love is giving of self to the other, self-interest is taking from other to self. So many separate 'selves' are necessary to provide a substrate where Love can experiment with separation via infinite forms. All of existence is derived from Love. And this is where we are 'currently'. Time exists for us, but it is illusory. This process is already finished, in the sense that the union with the Absolute is our final destination, for we cannot go anywhere else, for there is nothing else. Yet the process never begun, so it can never finish, and will continue into eternity, giving rise to universes, where beings like us will slowly learn that they are Love, slowly merge through Love with other 'selves', until they reach the point of merging with the Absolute, and allow it to achieve union with itself and resolve its paradox. And then the Absolute generates multiplicity again, ad infinitum. In a more poetic sense, our existence is the perpetual dying of God. And the end of our existence is God's rebirth. TLDR; you are right that Hegel's Absolute Spirit is a double negation, its affirmation comes through Love that Hegel failed to see. That does not call into question his philosophy, it merely makes it incomplete.
  3. Enlightenment is realizing the boundary between the self and the world is a fiction, generated and maintained by the self. If your content of awareness is primarily focused on the external world (extroverts), it will probably be more difficult for you to break this boundary, as the need to seek comes from within, and that which generates the boundary (the self) is the only thing that can stop generating it. The realization of the falsehood comes from probing what is within, not without. And truly probing what is within, tends to come after seeing the vacuity of material desires, and abandoning what the external world has to offer. Realization that there is actually no internal or external, only comes later. In context of Jung and MBTI, I would speculate introverted perceivers - INTP, INFP, ISTP, ISFP - would have the highest chance of starting and ending the seeking, probably favoring the F's somewhat. And ESTJ and ESFJ would have the lowest chance.
  4. Promoting violence is, and has been illegal for a long time. It's not the job of 'platforms' to stifle speech, it's the job of law enforcement - to enforce the law. Nothing wrong with promoting hate. Sure, it is undesirable, but suppressing any base human emotion will backfire into something many, many times worse, as it always has. The concept of hate speech is a degeneration of (post)modern society, and is merely a mind control attempt under the guise of virtue.
  5. And who is the final provider, who decides what Truth is and what it is not, the one who decides on the border between information and misinformation? Finely tuning what information can be made available to the masses, and what cannot, sounds very dystopian. One of the few redeemable features of democracies is the freedom of speech and free sharing of views and ideas. If you get rid of that, why even bother calling it a democracy?
  6. It may not be infinite, at some point the particularized consciousness (call it the soul if you will) might merge completely (back) into God, and lose the illusion of separation in its entirety. Or it might not. But there is most likely a limit to the level of awareness one can attain while inside a human body. The physicality itself sets certain constraints to what is possible, until it is done away with. What is understood here as enlightenment, is complete dis-identification with the human ego. And this is a fairly clear and attainable 'goal', an endpoint if you will. Certainly there is insight that comes after this stage, but there is no point speaking of it.
  7. Happy for you mate. Hope I get there it in this lifetime too. By the final layer, I take it you mean the final remaining layer of the egoic identity?
  8. @Jake Chambers I hope you go with enough awareness to the other side, if not, you will have infinitely many more chances to. Sending you love ❤️ Because words are merely symbols for thoughts. And thought is a product of experience and memory - which are temporal things, bound by time and limited in scope. So by extension, thought is time-bound and limited. The Truth, however, is not, it is infinite and timeless. So you're trying to describe the limitless, using something that is fundamentally limited. Failure is guaranteed.
  9. So, while I read through many so-called "channelings" out of curiosity, they pretty much all felt like either figments of overactive imaginations - borne of a need to validate specific New Age beliefs the 'channeler' holds, or borderline schizophrenic writings, with obvious untrue or malevolent undertones. One of them is an exception, however, and I would like to share an excerpt with you, as it aligns strongly with what many here have already recognized as Truth. It is out of context, but it is indicative. Through you and all that choose to do so. LOVE IS ALL THERE IS, BLOSSOM … THE ENERGY OF LOVE. WE ARE ALL ‘OF’ THAT ENERGY OF LOVE … FOR THERE IS NOTHING ELSE. That Energy … is then/can be … broken down into a million, trillion, infinite Frequencies of itself and resonate within those Vibrations and Frequencies. The level of Frequencies depicts that which one chooses … to manifest their desires. Yet … all originally coming from … Being of … the Highest Frequency of LOVE. Therefore, we cannot be separate. NOTHING IS SEPARATE FROM THE HIGHEST PUREST ENERGY OF LOVE. Because that is your blueprint. That is Your Essence. Your choices … from that space … as we say, are infinite and shall continue to be so. So, we would say because ‘our Pattern’ is formed from that SAME Original Highest Purest Love … we are … through each individual chosen Pattern … able to experience ‘Life’ … ‘through it’ … as we are part ‘OF it’. Telepathically we communicate with you, Blossom … through the Energy Patterns. We are not you … you are not us … yet, WE ARE. The channel in question is Blossom Goodchild, if anyone wants to take a peek, I would welcome all opinions on the matter.
  10. Of course! There isn't really a 'person like me', the underlying mechanism works the same in everyone, it just expresses itself differently due to having different experiences. It doesn't even matter at this point if you understand what you are exactly. Bringing awareness to your thoughts and emotions will be of great benefit, regardless of what you think you are. Baby steps man, can't climb a mountain without walking to it first. Stick to what you know, not what you think should know.
