  1. @Spiritual Warrior Thanks a lot that is a great response, it really helps.
  2. "The Way of the Superior Man" by David Deida is certainly not your run-of-the-mill personal development book. It offers a fresh perspective on the relationship between the masculine and feminine, and how a man can embody his masculinity in a way that is authentic and fulfilling. I have read this book twice but almost all the advice is counter intuitive. It also has different advice on purpose, saying that there are several purpose layers for ones life. It also has advice on having a good relationship with fear, befriending it. I have no idea what that means. Is this book any good? Is this a book I should follow? It has very counter intuitive advice about literally everything and I don't know if I should follow it. Someone please let me know
  3. @Leo Gura @BipolarGrowth @koops That's really interesting that you didn't find it counter intuitive. Me personally everything is somewhat new. I am most confused about the concept of being at your "edge". I know this wasn't the original question, but to all that understand the book, what does "edge" mean? Is it comfort zone? Why does he say don't go too far outside "edge" but stay near it. I'd really appreciate it if someone clarifies
  4. @koops Yea a bunch people say that, me personally I dont understand most of the things in there. But yea Il try my best to follow as per my understanding of life, but I will reread it aswell thanks for response
  5. Is there a way to permanently solve feeling bad after rejection and should we do it, or should we accept it as a common evolutionary experience.
  6. I get extreme motivation when thinking about my past trauma. I feel angry, and ready to do whatever it takes to achieve my goal. It is somewhat acts like an antidote to laziness. Many people refer to this as one's dark side. Should I use my dark side? Is there any negative consequences to using trauma as a source of motivation. Let me know.
  7. Thanks, that is what I am planning to do. But I'm very confused where all this resolving trauma thing comes in? Should I try resolving Trauma? It it even possible to deeply resolve all your trauma?
  8. I understand, these is all interesting experiences and insights. Do you think that it is even possible to completely get rid of trauma and it's effects? It seems like you have done a lot of work trying to do so. Also is it really self hatred, or is it just trying your hardest to prevent situations that have hurt you. Also could you tell me some benefits you got from resolving trauma?
  9. @Zedman Where can I learn more about these complex processes
  10. Yup your right, but I think it can be useful. Probably not the best to use it all the time
  11. Do you think your life is better after healing your trauma? Maybe trauma isn't a bad thing. Do you know any way I could get disciplined without using fear? Lmk. Thanks for responding.
  12. @nhoktinvt This does not make sense, how can you possibly transfer trauma?
  13. So much self actualization work, so many awakenings. Leo, how happy are you with your life? What would you describe your life? I'm asking this because I just watched an old video where you described the vision for a self actualized life. Would you consider your life fully self actualized?
  14. Oh. I picture what your going through to some extent due to someone I know who is going through a similar situation, it has limited her in many many ways. I really really hope you find a cure if there is one. So no-matter what you do, the health of the body really effects your happiness. But what about all this "suffering is in the mind" shit gurus keep talking about. Is it all bullshit? I mean I'm curious on what the point of all this work is if a physical ailment can take the effects away.
  15. Hey there, I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the stuff Leo's been teaching. I know he says not to take everything as gospel or dogma, but some parts feel like they're being presented in that way. It feels as though I must believe Leo as he is of higher consciousness than me. Take the topic of integrity for example, I've had different experiences and my understanding of integrity doesn't quite align with Leo's. Although he doesn't address my doubts, I am inclined to believe whatever Leo says simply on the premise that he probably got it figured out more than me. I then realized after revisiting some of Leos videos that I almost always misunderstand a part of what he saying. This really reminded me of the importance of thinking arguments through. However, when I do so, I often reach different conclusions from Leo, leaving me uncertain if I should trust my own conclusions based on my experiences or Leo's, who has a deeper understanding of the topic. I am faced with a dilemma on how to approach the material from actualized.org, uncertain if I should initially believe Leo's content and then work to understand it, or form my own conclusions, which may be incorrect due to my limited experience.
  16. @Leo Gura Relative no?
  17. Then it almost seems like there is no truth whatsoever though no? Like in science its super easy because we all have pretty much the same experience of the physical world (atleast when we describe it), therefore its easier to fundamentally say this is right or wrong. In spirituality it seems to be different, its almost as if you can never know if your right.
  18. @Thought Art Thanks! The stage that I am at I'll have a set of beliefs and conclusions. This makes sense.
  19. @ZGROPIUS No I don't, the problem is I need to have some conclusions in order to function in life.
  20. @ZGROPIUS What do you mean, like I should rather be just someone exploring perspectives rather than trying to find conclusions?
  21. Why do you say that? Do you disagree with anything Leo says?
  22. @OBEler I a still in high-school, I can't be taking that shit now ahaha. Probably later on though.
  23. I got score 16. What I didn't like about the test is that majority of the time my answer wasn't any of the ones available. What I thought was interesting is the graphed scores, as I felt it was surprisingly accurate (although maybe I am biased). I would expect myself to be pretty entitled but I rally don't like exploiting people.
