  1. I think the vast majority of guys are respectful if you tell them you're uncomfortable with something. I can only think of a couple guys I've known personally that I thought were likely creeps, but the small minority do seem to get around and assault a large portion of women, and there are some social circles were it is the norm; the Supreme court for example.
  2. You might not be surprised that I have a unique view on gun violence. The affordability and availability for the guns being used has helped recently. I'll first start with this because you're likely to think I'm a libertarian. I support gun control measures like Australia's. I think our problem is what is causing these people to want to do this stuff, they've been treated cruelly. But as a result of gun violence the campaign for compassion is greater than ever, so we are actually tackling the root instead of retarding that development with gun laws. The more mass shootings, the better people treat each other
  3. People catch on, cigarettes are no longer mainstream and the market is still shrinking. Same with addictive foods, the market isn't shrinking because of laws If your dosing didn't lead to death or despair of your customers how is it bad for them?
  4. I'm not saying we need to do this, I really don't care I was just talking. I took what you said about "not being developed enough" to mean linear. If we had opiates, cocaine, free in the past, I don't see how we wouldn't cope with them now, of course there would be a crazy transition period, but that's with most growth. But you could also say the backlash from the suppression will be more meaningful growth though as well.
  5. You would kill your customers, killing your business
  6. And look at the collective turning away from those addictive cigarettes That's progress that banning would have retarded Individuals know hard drugs are bad, they didn't tobacco, it was romanticized.
  7. The instagram looks stuff is what is lower consciousness/social circles, but that doesn't mean looks period don't matter. Mating isn't about love, why is it a man and woman couple to begin with? Women are no different than men about this either, it's just considered more socially acceptable for men to be honest about it. Women are measured by health and vitality(bearing children) Men; ability to provide
  8. Bit if you use that logic, then we were developed enough for the last more than thousand years while these drugs including opioids were legal, in use, and actually used as medicine.
  9. Yeah, I don't mean forcing others to comply with your ethics, I mean you abiding by yours. I think the only necessity of these laws were for functioning cogs in the Carnegie, Chase, Vanderbilt, ... machine during the early 1900s I don't think they were ever a positive thing for society. And I don't think people will pick up heroin like Cheerios because it's legal, and if they do I don't think it's a bad thing in the end, they'll die don't get me wrong but collectively understanding something is wrong is better than laws, even if the means is people dying so long as it is of their own free will. Our culture is developed enough for this and has been for thousands of years this stuff has only recently been criminalized but it's prehistoric. I don't believe in spiral dynamics.
  10. I think these laws cause mental health issues, you treat someone like a child all their life they're not going to develop into an adult I think a developed society would not have laws, it would be "governed" by ethics, morality, and respect. I'm not suggesting we do this, let's just start with weed and shrooms, and apparently menthol.
  11. I think criminalizing distribution, all laws like that anyway, not just drugs, retards development. It use to be legal to distribute all of them, they criminalized all sorts of things for the industrial revolution workforce and now most people don't mature past 11 years old. If legalizing use doesn't increase use, why would distribution, marketing yes but only short term Look at the development caused by the obesity epidemic, people now know they are easily brainwashed into buying things that harm them
  12. Sounds like the guy in the first post played it right until he was alone with them. I think the majority of women like that type of guy initially, the bride apparently still does, and he's a full on rapist.
  13. And my original question includes legalizing distribution by the way.
  14. I think they tend to give off the douchebag vibe. Most of them guys tend to be creeps. In what way was he charming, that's the only thing that stands out to me, usually they have some slight negative undertones but they are often good at hiding these for short periods of time. Like you said in the other thread, Brazilian jiu jitsu self defense class, those types of guys are cowards, you fight back they'll run scared. Guys know girls have to watch out for this stuff and a decent one will be fine with you being cautious, I don't think this fear will hold you back. If you spend enough time with nice guys maybe you won't worry as much about it but I think most women are cautious their entire life. Jiu Jitsu
  15. I don't believe in doing nothing with your life, I actually see what you're saying as completely backwards. I don't think you can do anything meaningful without being at peace. And I think the only meaningful thing you can do is be loving and peaceful.
  16. Biden has appointed a ton of judges which makes a huge difference Re-entered Paris climate accord Electric vehicles are looking more serious and more quickly than anyone expected, the infrastructure bill passed is going to help with that even more. Quit separating children from parents at the borders The attorney generals office is now supporting free and fair elections. And investigating and prosecuting injustice. Stopped keystone xl pipeline I think the progressives are doing great, just ask a conservative they'll tell you they're doing all sorts of stuff. Toppling who appears to be the world leader in disinformation, Russia, getting Europe out of their pocket. Progressives never get everything they want to get done, if they did they would no longer be Progressives.
  17. In the long run? I don't do drugs, and not because they're illegal. Why are they illegal? I think just like someone being a helicopter parent, if you don't allow free will you retard people into staying in a prepubescent mindset of not thinking for themselves.
  18. Could anyone recommend a Therapist or Zen Master to me, someone that does in person, I'll travel anywhere. I know what I want out of life and I don't think I have any serious social problems, no depression, but I just have a sense to go see someone like they might open my eyes to something I'm missing. I feel like I could better integrate living peacefully with living in society, I think i will just learn that by continuing to live the way I do but I feel like someone may be able to help me a bit. I do get a little anxious sometimes about things but usually no longer than a day, I take on challenging projects and sometimes get in deep. I imagine I do have some unresolved childhood stuff, I've tried to think back and process it on my own, I've never been to therapy though. Thanks
  19. Enjoying life has nothing to do with having a house or groceries, if you fear losing those things it's very hard to enjoy life, teaching people they need to work and buy housing and groceries is teaching fear. There is a healthy way to think about working and paying for housing and food though; if you do it to be part of society for the reason of being in a position to love those people in society,
  20. I don't believe there is such a thing as a good or bad life. I agree "you can't meditate yourself out of all situations without taking actions" I'm not advocating for meditation in regards to anything. Do you think teaching someone to work, something I think would be very hard if they are not already trying themselves, do you think you would get to a point with that person to teach them spiritually and they be receptive? Let me offer a different scenario; you show them love. Does there life get better? Do they drop fears that are holding them back?
  21. I didn't say it was a better life. I don't know what I'm not answering, I didn't see a question. Do you think teaching someone to work, something I think would be very hard if they are not already trying themselves, do you think you would get to a point with that person to teach them spiritually and they be receptive? Let me offer a different scenario; you show them love. Does there life get better? Do they drop fears that are holding them back?
  22. Meditation is something we naturally do, you don't have to tell them to meditate. You don't have to tell them to do anything. Who was the first enlightened, who taught them?
  23. I'm not advocating for teaching them anything, there would be no reason for them to call my bullshit, I wouldn't teach them or anyone. I think all teachings are bullshit myself.
  24. Fear is what drives what you're saying about needing a home and health. I obviously never implied the poor don't suffer. Most are poor because of mental illness or drug addiction, their problem is not that they're poor. If they were poor without those things, and there are many that are, I don't see how you could say they would need to be taught to work to find peace. Following society in the 9 to 5 grind unless you're not doing it for money as the primary reason; is usually a mental illness, do you think most of those people are happy and feel completely in control of determining their lives? But I guess I don't know that that is what you were saying they should do by learn to work, maybe you're teaching them to day trade while they feed the pigeons. Seems to me starting and living with nothing could be beneficial in the long run, but like you said I'm not speaking from experience. I'm in the states and it's ridiculously easy to make money, the problem tends to be fear of not having rather than the ability to have.
