A few other easy things to attain that are usually easy to see joy in is yoga, breathing, and drinking a glass of water, but you can think for yourself as well, what other things easy for you to get that's enjoyable, music, ....

Your employer? Parents?

What's that? Yes I can. And you enjoyed the orange

It's not illusions, It's all real, people are real, it's all created by God, everything is God, there's nothing more outside of what is being experienced right now, no other experience being had, no other lives being lived, whatever YOU experience right now is all there is. Whatever experience God creates next is all there is at that moment, there's no past, no future, the people that are no longer experienced no longer exist, if they are re created in a future experience then they will exist then. -
yes Is there anything in your life right now that you can easily do, or get, that you enjoy? Some type of food, watching the sky, cold drink, basking in the sun, watching the birds and butterflies outside or at the park, ....? You don't have to give anything physical up, or a job or anything, that's not the problem, that's not "life"

What are your favorite cities to meet new people?

You absolutely can. That life that you're on sucks right? That means what you're pursuing sucks. You're willing to give that up, look for a life you want, start with the bottom of maslows hierarchy of needs. I swear to you if you're willing to give up what you're chasing now, this miserable life, and look for one you want, you have the key.

Being in the position you're in you can have a greater life than 99.99% of other people. The only thing that holds us back is an unwillingness to let go, you're willing to let go, use this willingness to change your life, it will be more amazing than you can imagine, this pain and suffering imposed upon you right now is a gift to get you to leave the life you're living and live the life you want. What do you have to lose in trying, and what do you have to gain? Nothing to lose everything to gain, you now have no chains, go live the life you want.

I don't just mean I want it, I think it will go that way, I don't think our level of impersonal living is sustainable. See Daniel schmactenberger "the third attractor" to give you an idea of how things might not go linear
-
I foresee a simpler future ahead, I don't buy into robotics and AI, this human disconnection is unsustainable. People will want clean water and clean air, it will be the hot simple commodity, which is where the money is; volume not price tag. I also see local farming and handiwork, yes I know everyone else disagrees with me, they're all wrong

life doesn't need to change for you to love it. The trick is that you don't love it because you've been taught not to, once you figure that out you love life, and then it sounds like you have a life in mind you want, once you love life just continue to love it while also having what you want in mind. The point of all this is to have the journey, if you got everything you wanted as soon as you thought of it you wouldn't enjoy it, this way you have your cake at the end of the day, but you also get to eat one the entire day leading up to getting the cake. Loving is the key

From the material perspective it's letting go, if they could see it as holding on they wouldn't be in that position. I agree it's an expression of holding on; clinging to beliefs obviously. But if you're contemplating suicide I think it's because of pain, trying to end the pain, trying to let go of it.
-
There's not a pro to committing suicide but there is a pro to suicide; it's the letting go, if you're willing to end it that means you're willing to try something different in life and that's the secret to life, don't kill yourself or o.d. but try the life you want, not the one your parents want for you, the one you truly want, leave all those toxic people behind and start off on your new life somewhere else. Ego suicide There's always something to love by the way. And always a way to receive love anytime

I don't think there are tradeoffs, it's infinity -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura God being infinity, can God be conscious of itself and hold up this illusion? -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That falls flat on its face if it's "infinite possibilities" You're saying awake or dreaming; that's not infinity -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
To me that doesn't matter, you wanna say you're not awake, I'm not awake that's fine, but the problem is saying God can't be conscious of itself and create -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It means truly thinking for yourself -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
So, God can be conscious of itself AND create/imagine us -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Your concept that God can only be conscious of itself or not and if it's conscious we don't exist; falls on its face when you also say God is infinite and infinite possibilities You're not speaking of enlightenment, you're speaking of logic -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
So, you think God can be unaware that it's god, and yet "everything" still exists. God did that to itself then right? Made itself not conscious it is god, so you think God can do that, but can't also be conscious of being god and also imagine/create this? -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I disagree with the first part How do you define awake? I think the common definition is you truly think for yourself -
Devin replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
How could you be awake or enlightened if you claim to be? The only reason to make the claim would be a desire, therefore you're not awake -
So the question of where best to raise kids is at hand. -The highbrow part of the big city -Or the peaceful countryside in driving distance of the city The thought is; in the highbrow area your kid will see the limitlessness socially, that they can do anything in society. Or more likely, that in the countryside they may think things are out of reach for them. You can expose your children to most things but where they go to school and who they grow up with really effects their perspective.
