This is what I'm referring to, I don't know what you mean. "then goes on to detail their wish for Peterson to undergo training through either of their two preferred experts in social media behaviour and professionalism."

Don't you think it would get a bit stale after a while? Great for a while though.

They conflate wokeism and progressives to try to drown the appearance of any sincere effort. -

Fairly true, I agree the mandates are authoritarian-esque by the way, I'm not arguing they're not. -

You consider Iran non conservative? Russia? I see you edited a previous post, I'm not familiar with India's mandates but I previously said Austria's was gross overreach, they had a blanket mandate that everyone be vaxxed, I disagree with that mandate. that's authoritarian, not woke though, anti vax is the woke side of the argument despite what players are on what side. I'll give you an example that may not translate to India, I think it was 5 months ago or so, I walk into a vegan cafe in a major city in the states, what's the bookshelf full of? HUGE anti vaccine books. You can't just lump people together like political tribes. -

Anti vax is the social justice issue, government wants the vax. -

The problem with Covid is mutations, it's a societal problem, not a personal one. Society is one car. -

I agree with the first anton quote, the second one is self contradicting. -

Well first of I agree with your first statement although I don't agree with what you actually mean. I think the Austria mandate was some Hitler stuff. But the public space stuff is just common sense to require vaccination during a pandemic, it's what every surviving society has done with things like quarantines all the way back to the beginning of history. That's like saying they're intolerant of speeders on the highway, or bad drivers. -

"Bias" is being generous. -
I appreciate what you've done here! Great resource, even though it's helped me to decide not to chelate, if I ever have a problem though I'll reconsider!

No, government is just a social contract, a cooperation amongst people, without government we still have rules and cooperation, but far more chaotic, inconsistent, and it's less enjoyable of a life. Government is checked by elections. Wow. -

a.)They didn't blindly support it, people that want to get vaccinated would obviously want everyone else to be vaccinated. I get the flu shot every year, am I doing that because of propaganda or because I've had the flu real bad and don't want to be down for a week? b.)Many of the woke crowd oppose vaccines, they have for years, anti vaccine is woke. Well then what you describe as "far right" is the right, 70% privately oppose everything I listed, I live in a right wing region, those views are the norm, which of those I listed do you not oppose? If you list any, you're woke! You listed zero examples of intolerance. Pro vaccine is not woke, it's not even progressive or left, Iran and Russia had far stricter protocols than the west. -

What doesn't 'woke culture' tolerate of 'right wing' culture? For freedom of speech please provide example, I know hate speech and dangerous misinformation is censored. For example 'right wing' culture does not tolerate other religions or beliefs, other sexualities, other cultural customs like women wearing burkas, using marijuana, women being leaders,.... -

I find it odd she didn't give clear examples, she just made a video about a word and barely brushed over issues or examples. Reading this thread you all are barely even discussing examples, I think you all would agree on many specifics but it's not possible on these concepts with floating definitions. Like how are pandemic requirements wokeisms? See Russia and Iran, surely they're not considered 'woke'? They had far stricter mandates than the 'Woke' West. Wokeism;expression of sensitivity to systemic injustices and prejudices. Very manipulative video, conflating all kinds of things to drown out sincere efforts. -
Oh I'm not talking about banning him from twitter, no I don't think he should be banned from twitter for his tiny suicide joke. I'm just talking about his psychologist licensing board, they sent him a complaint on it and his reply was "I'm not going to defend myself, do whatever you want". It's about his demeanor toward suicide, being someone that's licensed by them as qualified to treat suicidal people, and teaches psychology using their accreditation, he would have less credibility on youtube without their stamp of approval, they have to be careful on who they give their stamp of approval to, like the organic stamp on produce. It's not just with what he does in his clinical setting either, he's viewed as an expert in his public discourse(his actual profession) because of their stamp of approval. I don't think his comments related to anything but psychology should be considered by his licensing board. I'm struggling to understand you guy's views on this, it seems clear cut to me. It's not like they just immediately threatened licensure,I still don't think they have, he's just running around playing victim saying his license is on the line. All they asked he do is attend a social media class for his next required continued education credits, to which he replied with a lawsuit. Never once writing an explanation for his comment(s). (I'm still reading the details as though)

The complaint is not that it's offensive, it's about his view on the issue, because he's a licensed psychologist, he's licensed to treat suicidal people , he uses his professional status(license) for business purposes giving psychology advice on YouTube and Twitter, and then he's making suicide jokes on that huge platform.
-
This is a licensed psychologist joking about suicide on a twitter account with how many followers, it'd be like some top cop in a black city making a racist black joke. It's not about just somebody making a suicide joke.
-
Yeah, they just mean he was joking about suicide, not that he was literally suggesting it. "“It is against every ethical standard and best practice of the U.S. National Association of Social Worker’s Code of ethics to make light of, encourage, joke about, or reference the topic of suicide in a manner that is not grounded in safety, prevention and evidence-based therapeutic intervention,” the complaint notes." I don't mean he was literally suggesting suicide, but it seems to me he was joking/making light of it in a very public manor, he has a huge platform. I think that's concerning coming from someone that has a license to treat mentally ill people.
-
Seems crazy to me for one of the most well known licensed psychologists on twitter to say that to someone on Twitter. And then his reply to the complaint was "Do whatever you want, I'm not going to defend myself.", It appears he's goading them into a public dispute to play victim.

Leave the planet The first complaint of 2022 came on Jan. 5. Peterson had suggested that a world population of 9.5 billion was sustainable; a commenter on his post said that overpopulation was a threat to the ecosystem. Peterson tweeted: “You’re free to leave at any point.” You're free to leave at any point. https://t.co/31GbI1I2vD — Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) January 3, 2022 The complainant, whose name and title are redacted — though by Peterson or the college is unclear — suggests that this was an inducement to suicide. “It is against every ethical standard and best practice of the U.S. National Association of Social Worker’s Code of ethics to make light of, encourage, joke about, or reference the topic of suicide in a manner that is not grounded in safety, prevention and evidence-based therapeutic intervention,” the complaint notes. When Peterson was notified of this complaint, his response was that he was “simply not going to spend the hours and days required to undergo the unbelievably stressful process necessary to respond to this formally.” “So no, I am not going to defend myself. Do whatever you want.”
-
He was replying to this comment "I disagree. Based on the record of human behaviour, we are already overpopulating this small world. Any arguments I have heard for supporting such a large human population completely overlook the huge loss of species and ecosystems resulting from our self-absorbed attention."

https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/read-jordan-petersons-tweets-that-prompted-complaints-to-psychologists-college Okay, no surprise Peterson left out the worst ones, yeah he should get his license revoked, he suggested suicide to some twitter users, what a moron.

It's a psychologist license, I don't see how his comments are abusing his license. This article only lists some of the posts though(given to them by Peterson), I haven't read the complaint itself.

There aren't any, look at the graphs you linked, their death rate went down during lockdown and has now returned to pre pandemic level.
