I would try to process anything you haven't moved on from from the past, I like to use a journal, view it, accept it, and move on with your life, sounds like you're carrying some things from the past. I suggest looking at Maslow's hierarchy of needs to see if you're missing anything below companionship stage, that will hold you back from making desirable connections. And lastly, just have fun, forget the pressure you're putting on making connections, just enjoy the life that's in front of you, it's likely you'll make good connections but it's fine if you don't.

@onacloudynight I suggest not wasting your energy hating this world, I suggest recognizing the beauty in how it is, yes let's work to make it how we want but it's counter productive to "be bogged down" with this hate. U.S. based question for me but feel free to cite the country you're referring to if it's somewhere else. -I think inner city schools should be smaller with smaller class sizes, and have more free extra curricular activities. To me inner city schools are a problem right now. I think this is far more important at this time than free community college. -I think there need to be more police in general as well. Along with more community centered policing, where the officers are from the community and treat everyone innocent until there's reasonable suspicion, treating people with respect. I also think individuals should be encouraged to be able to defend themselves as well though; self defense and even just simple audible alarms that scare burglars and alert bystanders or neighbors, home surveillance systems are reasonable nowadays.

Not living with a woman can slow down growth as well. Say live with a woman when you are at that stage of development(Maslow's needs), live with her to satisfy that part in you and then when you're ready to move on to something deeper you separate. Satisfying all the Maslow levels in order seems to be the fastest way for development, if you try to bypass that without actually losing that desire deep down you'll likely just spin your wheels at higher stages, with that lack of experience which you still desire holding you back like an anchor.

I didn't start going to the dentist regularly until my twenties, didn't start having cavities until a few years after that, I was going twice a year for cleanings, they scrape your teeth with metal picks, I think they scratch your enamel which makes you more cavity prone, enamel is really hard but it can become thin. The hygienist always told me my teeth were really clean too, I'm leery. I think avoiding sugar, rinsing with water, flossing daily, brushing really well twice a day, and inspect your teeth often with a little dental mirror scraping off any plaque, otherwise probably best to go to the dentist. The dentist is like liposuction for your mouth, you eat sh!t and it screws up your teeth, prevention is preferred. Chewing your food more, eating more whole foods, and working on your body and mouth posture will help your bite, an odd bite will wear on your teeth. See 'mewing'.
