  1. I wanted to open this topic for any of those interested in the VR space, as well as to gauge interest in the topic. Feel free to share whatever you wish so long as it's within the forum guidelines. Some examples: Development and reviews of head mounted displays, trackers, controllers, haptic feedback etc. Talk of new software and games. Interesting events within VRC and other communities. Fulldive technology. Mixed Reality. Augmented Reality. Future potential of VR. Interesting real world applications. Impacts on psychology. Inquiry into usability as a self-development tool. Phantom sense. Note: If this ever turns into a debate over which HMD, store, or software is better, I won't hesitate to get this topic killed. I created this to have fun nerding out about VR and it's future. Debating isn't part of that.
  2. Yes, I've had two jobs. I resigned from my last one due to health issues associated with the job itself. The first was with my dad, bad choice, never again haha. Both were good learning experiences though
  3. My experience is that I don't have nearly enough experience to really pin what my top values are and what I want to do with life. I'm also dealing with the challenge of setting up my own survival and leaving the nest. So, in other words I don't got a damn clue what I'm doing. But I do have a few things I know. - I need to gain a lot more experience - I need to get a interim job or career to survive, (education if needed) Obviously, finding a job or career that also exposes me to a lot of new experience would be highly beneficial. My questions: What should I be looking for/avoiding in a job or career? (bearing in mind I have no idea what I really want to do at the moment.) What kind of jobs or careers are good for exposing yourself to a lot of experience and/or develop you in some meaningful ways? (including the education if needed.) Any tips in general on balancing survival with gaining necessary experience? Apologies if this topic is simultaneously vague, way too comprehensive and also takes way too much of your time. Perhaps It would be wise to just focus entirely on figuring it out for myself instead of seeking other perspectives and ideas? Well anyways, thanks for any replies. P.S if any of these questions have been addressed, would appreciate knowing what topic that was.
  4. Chapter 0 The Queen is dead; long live the king. After much racking over what my values are, I've finally come to a good enough conclusion of what I find meaningful. Perhaps they will change over time, but right now the more I think about these values the more they become cemented as my top values. I've started meditation classes and have visited toastmasters as a guest. Both have been extremely beneficial to my mood and have already had small but noticeable effects elsewhere in my life. I will continue these as planned unless substantial evidence goes contrary to their use. Of course, I'm braced and on guard for the inevitable resistance that will come up from doing the practices. Bring it on. That is all by: A Boring Tale, Inc.
