Arthogaan replied to Carl-Richard's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Kinda but not really. I would be open to use steroids if there would not be strong evidemce of its harmfulness. And with psychedelics there seems to be more health benefits than dangers. -

I have to admit that it is very well worded and extremely wise. Hats off to you. But I think it is valid when you are in the business of Perfecting Day to Day Abiding and baseline. And total understanding of reality and consciousness is kinda different business. -

At the beginning of my journey I meditated pretty much every day for some years and got pretty solid insights of no self, even of Absolute and "nothing ever happened" but still all of this was unconsciously with the vibe of scepticism, materialism and nihilism. It was only after my first trips with mushrooms that my mind was cracked open to how magical reality is, how air is made of Loving Nothingness, not just Empty Dull Nothigness that I got from meditating only. Speaking relatively I think it is silly to assume that something our mind produces is as good as the best chemicals out there out of thousands. It like saying that training your legs to jump as high as possible is as good as a jetpack. There is this kind of "Naturalness Fallacy" that if some widom or state is aquired by something external like psychedelic then it is somehow less valid. But external is artificial distinction. All reality is the mind of God and if I were God i would hide the Holy Grail in some fun place (like mushrooms or toad) and not just in my Avatar's mind which would be too easy and boring. Not acknowledging that psychedelics are extremely helpful and are beyond what meditation is capable of is like saying that you do not need telescopes to explore the night sky because you can just train your eye. -

The logic of "There is no time so in a way every other POV is happening Now" seems like still clinging to the belief that you are not the only one conscious in your dream. As Leo said, infinite POVs exist now but as potentiality, they are not actuality. In actuality you ( you reading this) is the only one conscious being in existence and who knows what will you imagine after you imagine your death. -

Kinda Ironic coming from someone who studies filosophy on a university and has thousands of posts on a forum of a teacher. -
There is always a chance that some video/tv show/movie will inspire you but 99% of that time is wasted.

If you would give that advice to someone that wants to learn to lucid dream at night that would be a really bad advice. -

Words are tricky, but you can recognize the the real Self is Consciousness and you as Consciousness can marvel at Yourself and feel Love. That Self-Love is then indistinguishable from Being Love/Ligh or Loving Everything. Also on a more realitve level just Loving your ego-self with the love of a parents helps you to step aside and see that you are not the ego but The Self. -

He may be doing it for fun just as Leo. Let's wait fo him and not assume -
"You either change or postpone the change. There is no in between." - that was huge change of perspective for me.

Be really really honest. Communicate a shit ton. But then if she still wants spend time with you and get intimate then its her choice and responsibility and you should let her learn her boundaries.

I would call it the fear of lack. We fear a situatiom if we believe that in that situation we will lack something and therefore it will not be perfect. -

How do you choose to move your hand? Pure will without doubt. Faith in this choice. If you do not choose to be happy it means that you perceive that it is somehow beneficial to you to stay not happy. For example you may have unconscious believe that if you would just be happy then you would not have the motivation to get what you want, so you need to stay unhappy. We only stay in a state of mind as long as we somehow believe it is benefiting us.

So stage 4 really.

Well that is actually mature and hats off to you. Just don't portray Solipsistic Realizations to be necessarily negative. For some there may be a lot of grace in that from the get go and for some horror. -
Fourth and you just inspired me to make some more efforts to start doing 5th level

Best dreams I had was the ones that I realized that I am dreaming, I am alone here and I can do what I want. Did you ever lucid dream? It is the best fun. And now Lucid Dreaming happens in "waking life" too. Still my argument with video games stands. You can have lots of fun talking to npc in a video game. -

If you inflate the "I" to infinity it seems like this ownership flips on intself because if you are everything you can't own anything. You are everything so there is nothing left to be owned. As to seeking energy I would say that Absolute/Infinity IS for eternity in its perfect qualityless formless soup and then out of Love/Will emerges GOD/ALL THERE ISNESS/"I"/Ultimate Seeking Energy/Pure Expansion -

Had you ever had fun talking to npc in a video game? I did. Even more so if you realize that this npc is You and is designed by Highest Inteligent Love. -

I think a lot of that discussion of I vs no-I really stems from the fact that each of us started with different vocabulary and resonated with other words. We know that words are just pointers and for other people other words make a particular insight click. What I call "I am a person" can be called "ego" by other. What I call pure "I AM" can be called "presence" or "beingness" by Ekhart Tolle. What I call pure "I - I" can be called "no self" or "pure awareness" or whatever. What I call "Beyond I-I" can be called Infinity or absolute. But it depends who we did learn from. For someone "I am" may be understood as "aha, he believes he is so he must believe in his ego still!" . But for me "I am" may be understood as a state of no self. I genuinely believe that some of great users here may be pointing to the same Fact of Reality, just with different words. Even saying "there is no self" and saying "All is Self, there is only I" may point to the exact same truth. -

We have plenty of mystics who tone down the "arrogance" in their style for image purposes. Let Leo be the Harsh Gem he is.
