I do agree with this to some extent.  What I don't agree with is accepting blame for other people's negative emotions.  That's masochism.

I am not advising to accept blame, but to utilize a situation in order to grow.

You are still too focused on your frustration with their behavior.

I was simply advising to change the only thing you have control of...your perspective.

  2. Eckart Tolle addresses this in his book the Power Of Now.

He basically says that some of us are unaware of our own anger or negative emotions that we hold deep within. This attracts other angry people, so we feel victims to such hostile behavior, when in reality our own lack of presence draws it out of them.

Jealousy is also a very strong emotion and on the topic of racism, people who experience it can be extra sensitive.

I would say to try and seize the opportunity to help someone by looking inward in those situations, by asking yourself what you could be doing differently and listening with empathy and genuine intent. Most people just want to be heard.

  3. I would say to let those people be a part of your self developement.

I am finding that people going down a self-actualized path are some of the most selfish people.

Using other people as an excuse instead of a tool.

Your path is your own because of the choices you've made before awareness and during.

Though I do not always agree with everything religion teaches, one of the lessons growing up in a Christian faith has taught me is that: if you shine bright enough, it becomes infectious.

Choose a self-less path. Do not blame others for you lack or short comings. Utilize partnerships.
