You don't need to label every point on a spectrum to notice the differences. It boils down to a simplistic versus complex viewpoint that leads to greater comprehension. Take autism, for instance; it's a spectrum, but we don't have names for each minor variation. Specialists can identify the different variations of the condition due to their deeper comprehension of it.

I hate this argument so much. Most languages are complicated enough to cover a lot of variations. It is not like we live in 1984 book universe where the only word for bad is "not good"

@manuel bon I used to do the opposite. Plug 3 HO-PCP, relax, chill, and euphoria for half an hour. Now relaxed and brave I add the psychedelic. The effects come fast and powerful. But you could do it the other way of course.

The thing is, how do you know that these past lives are "real"? What if it is a trick of the mind? I think it is coherence and extensive details that gives a story credibility but still the mind is a tricky beast. I was tripping once on some dissociatves plus 4 ho met and my mind tried to create a back story that I was sexually abused by some kids and I forgot that. Of course it is not true.

But this is like only 10-20% of all suicides. Most people who commit suicide have been suffering for years. It is the only way out for them.

There are some people who commit suicide as an irrational emotional reaction to a sudeen event. A girl throw herself from a bridge because her boyfriend left her.

I get what you mean now. But could my consciousness decide to go out of control and create a flat Earth? That would be breaking the rules that were never were broken before.

There is a difference between saying that Earth is round to seeing a picture of Earth to then witness it directly from space. Direct perception allows for much richer experience -- But still saying you need to be shuttled to space to verify if Earth is round is still "confusing" to say the least.

Even if a belief is based on solid ground? I don't need to see Earth to determine if it is round In the same way, I don't need to shoot myself in the foot to determine if bullets actually hurt or not.

Conceptual knowledge is some kind of direct experience too. If you use a satellite to take a video of Earth, is that a direct experience? or do you need to be shuttled into space to see it for yourself? Do you seriously believe that? or are you saying it for the sake of the argument?

I have a direct experience of science, so I don't have to travel to space to have a direct experience of the shape of Earth.
