  1. It is not about the images per se. The image conveys how much mindfucking the insights are.
  2. @Breakingthewall To be hones, the Christian minority in my country are much nicer and more peaceful than Muslims.
  3. They will keep fighting for decades to come until a more intelligent generations comes forth and realize, they have been doing of harm to each other all this time. And then, they will hug and apologize from each other.
  4. The Middle East has been a country full of conflicts for one reason or another, so what you see is the manifestations of political and economic al instability. I suspect another reason, is that Quran is full of verses that encourage fighting and "Jihad" considering that early Muslims were in war with pagans, so "Jihad" has a sentimental value in Muslims hearts.
  5. Nah, it is just how humans act. It was a very progressive civilization during the medieval times.
  6. Maybe they will put Hammas down for good?
  7. Do you think Israel will invade Gaza? I honestly hope so.
  8. You won't believe how much people are happy here in the Middle East. Virtually everybody is celebrating the last attack. The more dead and kidnapped, the happier they are. All the videos of the attack are getting likes and loves on Facebook. It really disgusts me to see my people act like this.
  9. The hostages are fucked for good. There are already reports of sexual violence against women hostages. "The last time a single soldier was taken hostage, it required 5 years of negotiations and the release of 1000 prisoners to get him back". Israel has taken 150 hostags during the last attack. My heart goes for the mothers and fathers of those poor women, speculating what are they going through.
  10. I think the real fantasy is, to expect people to stop eating meat. Pushing the concept of decreasing our consumption of meat is much easier than promoting veganism which is much more radical, veganism is hard to sell for most people. Good animal welfare is achievable, it is not a fantasy.
  11. If they are raised and killed well, it is not exploitation, it is a mutual benefit.
  12. There is nothing wrong with consuming animal products, as long as animals are raised well and killed painlessly. The problem is that we as humans are massively over-consuming animal products these days, leading to high demand for them. To keep the prices low, Farming industries use all sorts of unethical practices to cut down on the costs of production. I think a better trend than veganism which is extreme for most people, is to popularise the idea of minimizing the consumption of animal products while also promoting better animal raising conditions. I personally decided not to go vegan but to cut down my consumption of meats/eggs/milk, etc...
  13. This is from the web, but I prepare it all the time. I buy canned precooked fava beans, put them in the microwave for 2 min, and then mash them, It is a very popular dish in the Middle East along with Falafel and Hummus.
  14. @Schizophonia You add rice/bread/oils/beef if you want more calories. I went vegan for 2 months and didn't complain of any of this. I like eating mashed fava beans (ful medames), with olive oil and some seasoning and maybe some Tahini.
  15. Lol, Legumes and eggs are one of the healthiest foods on earth. Try eating a big bowl of lentil soup or some white beans with beef in tomato sauce, they are so delicious.
  16. Lol Smoking or charring/barbecuing produce lots of carcinogens.
  17. Leo is falling hard for the "Intelligent Design" thing, his arguments remind me of what religious people say when they debate with atheists. Anyway, I will make my arguments here. This is a protocell, the most basic life form on earth. It turns out bacteria is not the first living organism to exist, in fact, bacteria is way more complex than these basic cells. These are very simple, they are made of a membrane, an Rna strand, and some enzymes. It is not a hard thing to make these things. This is the limiting step in evolution, once those are made, evolution will massively accelerate. It all starts when chemicals start generating organic material. simple organic molecules, such as amino acids, nucleotides (the building blocks of DNA and RNA), and fatty acids, began to form. Over time, these organic molecules started to interact and combine. For example, amino acids may have formed peptides and proteins, while nucleotides joined to create RNA or DNA-like molecules. Lipids could have formed membranes. "One of the most critical steps in the emergence of life was the development of molecules capable of self-replication. This likely happened through a series of chemical reactions where certain molecules could copy themselves. These self-replicating molecules became the precursors to genetic material." Leo keep insisting on how complex cells are, but complex structures are the result of the evolution of much simpler things. I don't know how he doesn't see that.
  18. @PurpleTree It sounds worse than how it feels. There is strong running water blasting your hand while cleaning, so it doesn't feel particularly gross. In the end, My ass is not dry and nasty like when using toilet paper.
  19. Nah, you have to use your hand, you need to to dig deep. Don't worry, you get used to it.
  20. @PurpleTree Have some respect for your ass hole and wash it with water.
  21. Fuckers put them in small metal cages with very little hay, good thing they don't live that long before they get killed. Dairy cows have it worse given they live long.
