Both, I visited both. The Cathedral is Catholic btw, for anyone wondering the art style.

The last two are family photo pictures from our trip to St.Petersburg, Russia, posting because they do count as ‘Christian Art’.

“Madonna with Child with Saint Anthony and Saint Sigismund” by Neroccio De Landi was my favorite. I was staring at that painting for some ten minutes straight, specifically at the person on the right.

I though the EXACT SAME THING. I recall being incredibly jealous of science for their intellect, and kind of forcing myself to be a scientist, now I realize that it's not the most important thing I'm not obligated to persue it. This doesn't make me any less intelligent.

Two comedic videos from my second favorite YouTuber. -
You're using your hippie liberal 21st century standards of ethics to judge a man who lived in 6th century Arabia.

I do predict that in the future, as society becomes more progressive, one of the things which will change is our attitudes towards life and suicide. My prediction is that suicide is going to change from something that no one should ever do, to something that is normal and option, with services to assist in this. This is not that radical of an idea, the Japanese have had cultural suicides in their history. -
I think what January 6 represented, and why it was so scary, was the the fringe far right of American politics will act if they are pushed far enough. The Atlantic made a good piece regarding this: https://www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/archive/2021/12/donald-trump-2024-election-coup/620922/ Who knows, there is always the possibility that they will act even more violently than they were on Jan 6 in the future. They elected Trump after all, who knows who they could elect next.

I don't think I can vote, even though I do have dual Russian citizenship status. I need to check the laws. If I were to vote in Russia, I would probably vote for 'A just Russia' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Just_Russia_—_For_Truth But I don't know if they truly count as systemic opposition or not. I'm sure the Communist Party (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_Party_of_the_Russian_Federation) is also alright, but they're way too authoritarian, ideological, and Conservative. But that doesn't mean they can't be reformed, or at least pass some workers rights legislation.
