  1. I'm up for it lol, I love Amsterdam been there 3 times and took mushrooms the one time I did it there. I actually started showing this girl I was seeing moojis stuff and she started freaking out cos she never really heard about Non-Duality before. But don't worry with the psyches you won't regret it even if your perspective changes or enhances is a better way to say it
  2. Keep going with it, everyone starts as a beginner. I like Spira, one I really like is Paul Hedderman, check him out on YouTube, mooji is good as well . Also def try psyches at least once can really open you up to the non-dual perspective, for me I've only done it once but since I did it no turning back
  3. Thats cool bro, a lot of interesting stuff there, i think youll get a lot from the non-dual and psychedelics. Are there any non-dual teachers you listen to at the moment?
  4. Forget all the partisan politics stuff for a sec, what actually got you into you into spiritualityand actualized.org and separately for my curiosity, how old are you?
  5. If you had these threads in audio it would basically be that show haha and he gets us multiple times so its even worse than the callers
  6. I have actually considered this lol like its just too much that it cant be real, or its for attention or something
  7. @Dutch guy Do you think hes an intelligent guy though?
  8. I forgot about the greenland thing Just for jokes -
  9. @Dutch guy How old are you mate? genuine question
  10. It is must be so frustrating for Dutch guy, he's literally never wrong and has to put up with all us idiots contradicting him.
  11. Even if you peg him at Blue, which is generous he's def at red, why would someone who claims to be yellow vote for someone who's blue? Unless it's some government disruption tactic, but in this case its not you genuinely believe in him. That's 3 levels higher its like someone green voting for someone at purple hahaha
  12. I'm gonna be 100% honest, I really can't get my head around people being on this type of forum, being interested in things like Non-Duality and spiral dynamics and being a trump supporter. I get the thing of the state of politics being bullshit with people like Hilary, I don't think there's been an honest, transparent leader for a long time if ever. But surely Trump is not the answer. The whole campaign in 2016 was incredibly manipulative masterminded by someone who I think was arrested recently for fraud, Roger Stone. Its clear Trump just wanted power and wasn't too bothered how he got it, it just so happened that appealing to an alt-right base was the best way to do it. Even if you like his policies, do you really feel like this guys a competent leader? He's red on the spiral and literally in his meetings they have to say his name a certain amount of times otherwise he won't listen. He gets his news from fox. His handling of situations is terrible, look how he's handled the corona and this blm stuff, I can't think of a way it could've been worse. So how does it make sense that someone can be stage green or yellow or whatever and really side with someone who's red? That being said I think it was probably best for him to be elected because I think America is gonna have to get a lot worse before it gets better. Also the politicians really needed to sort themselves out and stop doing this fake stuff
  13. Science by itself won't get there but at some point it will merge or surrender, however you want to look at it, to Non-Duality
  14. Heres is the issue, white schools in the US receive 23 Billion more funding than black schools. Even poor white schools receive more than poor black schools, there are reasons for this which is that the property tax is taken per area and used to fund the schools, so obviously poor areas will have less money to fund schools. This kind of thing is baked into the system and gives a very clear disadvantage to black people, so when you say black people are high achievers thats in spite of the disadvantages, why people are frustrated is because these disadvantages shouldnt exists and of course poverty leads to crime which leads to continual, generational cycles which then leads to people thinking black people are just bad and why cant they lift themselves out, well its easy to say that when youve had adequately funded education. The day to day racism is annoying but these gaping systemic issues are the root of why people are annoyed even if they dont vocalise it
  15. I think thats it, theres a deep frustration of not being heard, there are conversations to be had about black treatment around the world and i guess the general feeling of being the marginalised group for so long. I think racism has improved a lot from 50 years ago but the policies and structure was mainly built during these times and at these times Black people were second class, not to mention the advantages white people wouldve had by not having these issues in previous generations and being able to build generational wealth. So even if you want to disagree as some have, that black people havent had a hard time or that that time is in the past, the conversation needs to be had because black people feel this way. Im mixed race from the UK and the UK government has never officially apologised for windrush and slavery (windrush is still an issue today). Now imagine something that was so jarring to people but theyve not been addressed regarding it, that shit is frustrating, so if then someone gets killed whos black and the perpetrator is white, the incident might not even be racist but how it looks reminds black people of all the frustration and pain that has been experienced and blows up like that, so it might seem disproportionate to those looking on. But i relate to a lot of what you said. This is another interesting point, white collar crime costs $400 billion a year in the US and is mainly carried out by college educated white males, there could be an argument made that it has a more detrimental impact on society and im pretty sure those involved in these high level crimes have a hand drug empires as well which leads to the low level street violence we see. But you rarely hear about it, im not saying its necessarily racist as its probably just not exciting for the tv audience to watch an accountant fiddling the books, but its another example of how the system is setup which is not favourable for poor people. Im sure a lot of these crimes get off is well due to having more money for better lawyers etc
  16. The OJ trial was a mess, like OJ said for all intents and purposes hes not black, hes rich so he got access to the justice a rich person would get, with the added outrage a poor black person would get (if they were innocent). This is another problem with the system, in that equal justice is non-existent, rich people get better justice than poor people when in theory justice should be blind. Of course when black people are disproportionately poor compared to whites, mainly due to the last 400 years or so, it is going to equal unfairness for majority of that group of people. OJs lawyers were very clever in making it a racial issue as they knew black people were pissed off about racial issues in society, so very clever and this method has been going on for a while where you mobilise groups of people by pretending its about one thing when really its about your own gain. The protests as a whole are not about Floyd theyre about this justified underlying anger and frustration that is ready to boil over at any time and which can also be taken advantage of for ulterior motives
  17. I'm always wary of trial by media and making judgements, more could be yet to come out. Its also hard to assess his intention but it does really seem like he was trying to cause harm and assert complete dominance over Floyd. Because he uses the knee it seems like some kind of official police hold but if you changed it slightly to him using his hands, say strangling or using a choke hold which essentially has the same effect as what he was doing, then it takes on a different context. Imagine a police officer having a suspect in a choke hold or strangling them for close to 9 mins while the suspect is telling them they can't breathe and then eventually dying because of this. From that perspective you'd say its definitely murder. So I get what Leo is saying, we haven't got all the facts and it's hard to prove intention but it really looks like he was trying to cause harm here. There were 4 of them they could've very easily restrained him without choking him
  18. This politics sub is really sounding out these 'coral' thinkers. I empathise as they're on their journey but I think it's getting to the stage of a massive distraction, we go to the level of discussing whether racism exists or why libertarianism is just unworkable and literally not working right now. I have no solutions but to be aware that these guys will not change positions and will not see nuance but ironically claim they think in systems, which is why they're definitely right ??‍♂️ If you are a 'coral' thinker consider that you don't know what you don't know and having a definite unmovable position as an expert let alone a layman on anything means that you will never actually grow or learn anything. If that is your position ask yourself why you are even on this forum
  19. There's a couple 100 unarmed police killings every year, it wouldn't be realistic to cover all of them. This has struck a nerve because of a variety of factors, underpinned by unfair treatment of black people in America. There's also many black people that get killed that we don't know about either. I always wondered why when there was a kid missing, certain cases would get worldwide exposure like the mccan case and others would get nothing but some flyers in the local area. For example it's rare to see a black kid go missing and get this exposure. A lot of it is based on what media companies think the public want to consume
  20. Good breakdown. Education i think is a massive thing, if theres equality there then we will start to see a big difference in poverty levels, it will take a long time, none of this is a quick fix. With a single incident, in a way its easy because we can get the officers involved arrested but it will only appease and will not change the root and so this type of thing will continue to happen
  21. I agree in that it's not clear what the protesters want, I think some organisation and leadership is needed in that regard, however there is a lot of change that is needed. Good place to start is that black schools get $23 billion less funding than white schools or even the fact schools are still segregated like this. Education is a big factor as it can have a massive effect on the trajectory of children's lives and if its not competitive with other types of people, then you'll always be at a disadvantage. https://www.npr.org/2019/02/26/696794821/why-white-school-districts-have-so-much-more-money Could look at drug laws, there's quite a few things that keep the status quo and a lot of black people are not happy with the status quo, don't have a lot of outlets to change this and so protesting seems a course of action to take. Also keep in mind very peaceful protests from Colin Kaepernick did happen and the result of which was him losing his job and being called a traitor and whatever else just for taking a knee at the national anthem. So what is the 'right' way to highlight these issues?
  22. I'm currently reading Religion of tomorrow, I'm about 70 or so pages in. I like it so far, it is a pretty hefty book so we'll see where it goes
  23. Cant argue with results! There would need to be more structure going forward, but yes looks like they can make some kind of change
  24. I think protests can work if it is clear what is being asked for. For example work unions protested and eventually got what they wanted ie fair pay or whatever. The Floyd protests and Black Lives Matter dont have a clear manifesto for what they want, this was the problem with Occupy Wall Street as well. There are many things supporters of BLM could ask for, more investment in black communities, a better education system, police that kill unarmed people to be prosecuted, but none of this is clear. So there needs to be a level of organisation when it comes to protests. Awareness can be a factor, although im not sure it doesnt aggravate as many people as it inspires. But awareness can be a positive thing and i have heard a lot of white people attempt to understand black people more because of this situation and it drums into the collective consciousness that this is an issue to be considered. So its more of a last resort but to see real change there needs to be a clear plan regardless of whos protesting, otherwise its just flexing
