  1. I resonate with a lot of what you write and I do seem to intuit these things as I wrote in another post. I have no problem with conceptualizing so my point with this post was to kind of better understand my own shift which was so profound for me. You gave a very clear description there . It’s a bit tricky where the sense of self can fit in this, how come I can seemingly intuit what you write but still have this sense of self which is now radically different than it was prior to my shift. It’s like “open” now . Unbound by the mind , just a brain , if I’m gonna bring neurology into this.
  2. You have a point especially with non dual stuff. I’m open with my question here so im not expecting to reach a final conclusion but just hear others experience to better understand where mine falls
  3. I like to make connections to neurology too in this area. I for example have a self centered brain so a lot of self referential thinking so that DMN being very active probably I’ve read about it a little. That’s why I was curious where my “experience “ (it was so profound and permanent and all encompassing yet subtle ) falls . I feel my situation is unique maybe so it’s hard to pin point. From your definition my experience doesn’t fit since I dont recognize the non duality although I still intuit it somehow so it’s weird.
  4. I see what you’re saying I don’t know much in that area so it could be like that yea. With the beauty stuff it’s the strongest in younger generations gen z and millennials that’s why I brought it up since it’s what I see the most .
  5. It’s tricky yet simple. Also difference if someone is talking from direct experience vs heard from teachings and others.
  6. I think that’s enlightenment yea or awakening could call it both. Total wipeout of a sense of self. I was just thinking because the shift I had was permanent and massively profound but didn’t wipe my sense of self out, but did erase this attachment to the mind/mental self or something so it’s interesting where that falls. I don’t worry about conceptualizing because it doesn’t change anything
  7. Feminism tends to go against those traditional roles in general so it naturally lessens those expectations on men too I think. Not sure tho
  8. “But you never watched it” lol exposed not say anything why? Because it can’t be spoken or? Or you mean your smile explain it all
  9. That sounds beautiful. Do you experience it where did you get it from?
  10. I don’t know how much is intentional or not. Sometimes it can sound grandiose too
  11. Maybe my title wasn’t the best since im open to any descriptions my world is kind of like that if I can say that I like to conceptualize tho but it’s quite fluid
  12. I mean I still have a sense of I, so its not gone completely, that's why I can talk about it because the sense of I is still here, and I can describe a profound all encompassing shift in this I sense, in the same way I can describe another experience , its just description ofc, but if I can talk about the weather why can't I talk about this, if there is no separation with that non dual reasoning you can't even talk about anything because all talk is dual
  13. im with you mostly, at first it sounds like you are describing what happened here for me, but then when you say how reality perceives itself, and to be "one with" the formless substance, it sounds to me like it would be a total absence of sense of self, which is not something ive "experienced", because I still have a sense of self, but I can kind of "see" or intuit everything youre saying at the same time. So in one way it sounds like we are talking about the same thing and in another not.
  14. i was thinking where he gets all that from lol
  15. neuroleptics increase breast size so its the opposite for women
  16. Those are all good examples. Maybe what I wrote isn’t such a big factor but still to some degree maybe it could apply. In the west tho isn’t motherhood becoming less and less central , I was thinking about that , hence why I wrote specifically referring to the west because it’s extra hypersexualized here with looks and sex appeal in the focus. Some Other cultures have motherhood and marriage as more central . Not denying it’s existence here but it’s not as central in mainstream society anymore
  17. I’m not disagreeing with you, I agree with it mostly , what you just wrote doesn’t really go against what I wrote. All I said is that in this hypersexualized society in the west, looks in a woman is the trait that is valued the most and pedestalized the most in comparison to the rest, by society and then since women are humans will internalize this so the average young woman is obsesssd with her appearance. In contrast with men it’s more spread out with different traits being valued. So my spontaneous thought was maybe this is one reason as to why we don’t hear as much “how to be real woman/high value woman” because that language isn’t as much needed as the focus is mainly on one trait: looks. yes I know of Anna Bey for example. All of what you wrote is good. But I can say there’s wayyyyyy more women watching a makeup tutorial that what you mentioned
  18. You have a point there i didn’t think about that, maybe subconsciously . It makes more sense than what I wrote
  19. No I havent Maybe it seems so in comparison yes but still overall society is male dominated globally
