  1. @Thought Art yeah I've also had a few of those "duuh" moments or "oh yeah" moments as well. I wonder if it's not so much about the realization and more about the method of accomplishing it? After all it's me. Why am I terrified of myself? I'm a loving being.
  2. @Leo Gura have you managed to attain any level of realization in your daily life? Or do you also fall back into delusion soon after?
  3. @Leo Gura are you aware of a way to stay in that level of consciousness as a baseline? I can have God realization on marijuana but I always come back to my regular waking state a few days later. What gives?
  4. Zen koans are great to practice. I've been practicing Mu for three years or so and it's changed my life. I highly recommend working with a teacher while you practice as koans are not an intellectual exercise.
  5. Awesome trip report. Cheers friend
  6. After a kensho my teacher stopped using these words for a while. It didn't do much and he reverted back some time later. I'm sure there's merit in it but I think not being attached to the meanings is more important than bypassing the use of the word.
  7. It takes a long time. If you want a boost, try a microdose of your psychedelic of choice before hand. The real process takes many years. Striving only makes it take longer.
  8. This is a poetic sort of reflection on how my koan practice has evolved since starting three years ago. Each time you come back to the present moment, you go a little deeper. At first it's subtle but later it becomes more potent. The realization that form is free of thought, that you are free of thought, reveals itself. Then what is it? If it is not what I think it is, then what is it really? You turn and listen, but not with your ears only. You listen with all your senses, for a reply. What is it? Listen. A wonder reveals itself, thickening each time you listen. You realize that you are made out of it. The mystery you keep returning to, its your skin and bones. It is your feelings and thoughts. It is everything. Except your thoughts about it. And simultaneously, it is those too. What is it? Mu. It is mu. Mu. mu. mu. what is it? Listen. Mu. Listen. It is infinity! No, Mu. It is God! mu (no) It is being! mu. It is alien! It is beautiful! mu. Well then what is mu? Mu. Listen. Mu. Listen. It is - mu. Oh I know what it- Mu. Mu. Mu. Special state of consciousness appears. It is that! Mu (no) return. Mu. I get horny. Ooh I should have sex with my girlfriend. Mu. Not it. Mu. Mu. Mu becomes primary, the flow of events become secondary. Mu. Mu. Mu. Work and sleep. Mu. Crave and avert. Mu What is it? Deep feeling of mystery. Mu. (Disregarding it) Mu.
  9. Im not entirely sure how deep you want to go with the question 'how to stop living in fantas?' so I hope I'm not overshooting here. The way out of fiction is to cut off the road to the thinking mind entirely. Koan practice is the best way to do this in my experience.
  10. Listen here I recorded this after a 5 day sesshin (zen meditation retreat). I was in a heightened state of consciousness at the time and recorded it for myself to listen to when I started feeling down again. Yesterday I listened to it and it really helped remind me of the purity of the moment. I thought this might help you too.
  11. I'm not doubting what you experienced but given what you've tried to explain above its clear that whatever the experience was, was not very deep and has left you in a deep state of confusion and incoherence. If however, it was in fact a deep experience then you haven't fully understood to the point where you can convey what you mean in a clear and concise way. This could be because you aren't educated enough to, or that you simply don't want to, or maybe you even think that speaking the way you do is some kind of awakened speak which normies can't grasp and you enjoy that, idk. Whatever the case, I suggest you take the time out to really contemplate your experiences and take the time to learn to convey it clearly and concisely with words if you want to express it to others in that way. Of course you don't have to if you don't want to but if you dont, you will go on feeling misunderstood and ostracized by those who you express these experiences to and that's no fun. Trust me. I spent many years doing the zen master speak and it did nothing but isolate me from the world. Once I stopped with that game and spent the time to learn how to properly express my experiences, then and only then could conversations occur about them. People who normally weren't interested in my psychedelic experiences for instance began asking questions and thinking about these things for themselves. Not because I laid on some incoherent zen master philosophy on them but because I understood my experience so thoroughly that I could express it with words anybody could understand. It changed everything for me and I think it will for you too. Cheers
  12. My friend, you are lost in thought.
  13. Sadhguru always points out problems but provides no solutions. That's what's so frustrating about his 'teachings'
  14. I have a question. How are you attaining these awakenings? Meditation? Psychedelics? Something else? Not looking to discount your wisdom just looking for a way for me to be able to verify some of this stuff myself. Thanks
  15. I take psychedelics fairly rarely. Maybe once every two years or so and I only do it then as a check in. I could totally never do them again and be content because my spiritual practice preceded psychedelics and will continue long after they're gone anyways. As a hypothetical though it would really suck to never be able to use them again for those temporary glimpses because they're so useful for pointing the way and keeping you motivated through dry spells.
  16. Yes! I am working with my first koan now and have been working on it for the last 2 years. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend working with a zen teacher or priest who can make sure you don't stray too far but working with Mu has changed my life entirely. I recommend it if you've spent some years practicing with the breath or some sort of meditation technique. Koans require a ton of concentration ability so you need to build that up first. Good luck!
  17. Hey Leo, I'm curious as to what your current practice is. Are you still sitting daily? If so what does your practice look like? Are you currently working with a teacher? Also anyone else on the forum who wants to post your current daily practice and how it's going I'd be curious to hear. Thanks!
  18. Just to kick things off, I am currently working with the koan Mu. I am not actively working with my teacher but I probably should turn into dokusan soon.
  19. Psychedelic possibilities open up with marijuana after you have a few classic psychedelic experiences in my experience. After my own experiences with classic psychedelics, marijuana hits very different and I have to be careful not to smoke too much else I wind up tripping really hard, having oneness experiences, or bad trips. So to answer your question, yes. Marijuana can be a psychedelic but I think its got to do more with you than anything else.
  20. Here is a voice recording of a 'download' I got immediately following a 15mg DMT trip. Enjoy
  21. @Pudgey glad you like it! cheers!
  22. @Steve Tumbleweed No prob. NN is great but it definitely isn't an enlightenment pill. However, it is radical (as you know)…IDK man. I don't share with people because I don't want to be responsible for the sanity or another human being. One wild ride can cause someone to become unhinged, who knows? But if you do share NN dmt with someone, I recommend throwing them in the deep end. No baby doses. Goodluck
  23. I don't know if DMT in any form is good for a first experience. But hey, if they're really dead set on it I'd start them with NN.
  24. I was watching you on the 'Theory of everything' podcast and during the talk you said that the high consciousness non-dual teachers that you consider highly realized exhibit certain qualities but you never went into who those teachers were (atleast I haven't gotten to that part of the talk yet). Would you mind giving a list so I can check out their teachings? Thanks
  25. I prefer longer sitting, and I definitely see dramatic differences in my state of mind when I sit longer. But I do want to put a plug in for deep practice rather than time based practice- Especially if you're new. Deep practice means fully devoted, focused practice. Sitting down on the cushion or in the chair and putting your full attention into your practice. 5 minutes of deep practice will do way more for you than an hour of half hearted practice. I would recommend that you be honest with yourself and ask yourself- when you sit, how long are you doing truly focused and devoted practice? If you find that for every 30 minutes, you're truly devoted for 10 minutes- then start sitting for 10 minutes in a fully devoted and focused way.
