  1. Life is like a infinite chessboard containing all the players.
  2. Who are you? And what are trying to escape from?
  3. Makes sense. Was there a breaking point, or maybe unclear?
  4. This is good! I would advice you to remove the text though, even if it becomes less clear of what you want to convey. Let the image speak for itself, even if it is subject for misinterpretation. Stick with a title only.
  5. I think feminism is one of the main ingredients baked into capitalism and that is probably the biggest part in the disintegration of what we know as traditional roles. It's mainly about a much higher living cost to having a partner who doesn't work in todays society in general.
  6. I like that. How did your awakening unfold for you?
  7. If you are God, then what difference are left between you and God?
  8. Emotions can't be escaped in dreams. And that is why I value dreams as more authentic in that sense. People can pretend when awake, but their dreams will usually show them otherwise if something is suppressed. But as soon as you wake up, you have the option to either listen to your dreams, or to devalue any dream as nonsense no matter what. My advice is to befriend your dreams.
  9. The fundamental reason is that human interaction has a spectrum of emotions, and various reasons to put those emotions into action or not. If you have no shyness in you, you should for example be perfectly fine to be naked infront of any human.
  10. I think you overemphasize on the word Truth here. What buddhism acknowledge, is that suffering is the root cause to all problem. So the most worthwhile cause is to dedicate one's life to relieve suffering to the highest degree possible. And that is a very real and pragmatic goal from a human perspective. Especially when you compare it to alot of other "truths" out there that rely more on greater and grandiose promisses in the future that tell you that it will triumph over all other teachings. If I where to take a guess, I belive that a buddhist would be more inclined to say that compassion is the way of life. And to relieve suffering is the method for how to follow that path in a more tangible sense that anyone can initially come to understand.
  11. I would say. "You seem to have a short fuze today, everything good?"
  12. https://www.youtube.com/user/bdona4556 A real gem of a channel. Always some interesting angle no matter the topic, even though it is a bit all over the place.
  13. The therapist has a point, you should be careful so you don't turn into a globglogabgalab
  14. You don't have to demonize porn for what it is, but it's nothing that really will improve your life either. It can't create anything but a bad habbit when you think about it. Use in moderation if needed.
  15. The thing is, would you try to protect them anymore if you knew that it was a one time lesson only? Sometimes it's not that we need to protect the balls directly, but rather that we need to become aware of not putting ourself in situations where there is an increased risk of getting hit down there.
  16. Fair point. I figure that you're on to something atleast, since you guys seem to make a connection.
  17. I think this is a overall good response. But it stil shy away from the relative perspective that I intended to put into question here. Because now we have somehow put the zeros aside to merely focus on infinity as a absolute state of everything that is, and what to do about it. And that was never my issue to begin with. Anyways, I think have voiced my disagreement enough about the relationship between zero and infinity to make my point. So this will do.
  18. True. It's definitely a shift in awareness that adds nuances to any situation. It can also go the other way around aswell, like when someone identify to much with their job-title that they only see other as customers or clients as if everyone are npc's.
  19. Yes, humanize people. It's a good habbit for sure.
  20. It sure could be, but it's important to point out what we refer to as THE mistake in that case then, and not assume that a mistake has been made when we disagree about something. ?.. (If) there where to be a infinite number of planets, there would also be a infinite amount of anything in proportion to how common or uncommon life is on said planets for example. I never refuted that, that would be the case. (If) there is a infinite amount of planets, then there will be infinite amount of possibilities govern by those infinite amounts of planets. Ok, but what about your bank account then? Is the amount in there infinite? It would be nice if you send me some, so we could continue this discussion on a tropical island with a drink in our hands instead, what do you say about that?;) Why not invite everyone on the forum while we at it. It's infinite resorces after all. Oh.. Forget about that bank account question But to say that infinity "touches zero" makes zero sense (pun intended). When speaking about numbers even zero, you refer to a tool of measurement. 0 is a value, so it becomes a value statement once a number is mentioned. If you got an infinite amount of something. Then you can no longer make a value statement about the amount itself. Since infinity exceeds any number you can think of. So zero is nothing but a nonsensical word when speaking of infinity.
