Bobby_2021 replied to integral's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
It is a detached evaluation based on Spiral Dynamics. Younger generations are more liberal and mature, generally speaking. ------ @integral Realistically speaking, I think the true potential of millennials will be overshadowed by boomers who would never fully allow younger generations to grow. So gen z might be in a better position to bring about true change. Millennials would provide a nice cushion for genz who would bring actual change like the ones we are hoping for. -

Good luck dealing with Israel expanding into Syria all the way up to Iraq. They are already expanding the population in the golan heights. Next they will need buffer zone more into Syria till they can see Damascus. I think they are close enough already. You do realize that this is literally what they are planning for right? This is a head start for the greater Israel project. They have made it clear what they want. Tell me how you plan to resist it. Or are you okay for giving up Syria for the sake of Greater Israel project? Isreal will keep expanding to Syria and become more hawkish with Trump. Which is why I think this will end up another Afghanistan moment for Israel and the west in the long run. -

This was the only thing putting forth any reasonable resistance to Isreal's maniac genocide and you are happy to see them lose? If Israel is steeping up to redraw borders deep into Syria, soon we see the west being entrenched in another quagmire. There is a non-trivial possibility that Putin might be playing 4d chess here. It is Israel that wants to overextend itself and it will do, and the US will be forced to support it no matter what. At this point, it is too soon to reach conclusions. Note that these groups have no allegiances and will fight for whoever pays them more. So thing could go sideways real quick. -

Basically all your augments boils down to Syria is complex, noone else knows nothing about Syria and we should all accept what you say. I am making claims based on actual historical precedence official statements from CIA. And no this "rebel" dude is a designated terrorist with a $10 million bounty on him. And HTS is a certified head-chopping Islamist terrorist organisation. I am not making any of these up. These all are from the official statements from the United Nations, US, etc. You want everyone to accept these people are becons of democracy and inclusivity? It's not like they have proved any capacity for governance and being stretched thin while you let Israel carpet bomb Syrian Military assets. How about your Syrian Sovereignty that remained intact during Assad? Talk about hard facts here. -
I just can't get myself to play Fischer random.

America alone operates 800 military bases across the world. 100+ regime change operations. Israel is literally embarking on a greater Israel project to conquer even portions of Iraq, already conquered more syrian land and basically no condemnation from the "international community" on that at all. Russia backing Assad regime to repel insurgent forces is nothing close to what the US empire is doing. You cannot fathom the scale of the imperialism. Russia's imperialistic ventures are puny, almost nonexistent. China is building ports for countries that need ports. What else are they do? how come even that is imperialism? None of your points are put in perspective and does not even make sense. -
I do not know man. The future for BRICS is quite uncertain to be honest. Their intentions are on point. But I do not think they have the firepower to pull it off.

Israel is invading another country and bombing tf out of it for their greater Israel project which is textbook imperialism. You refuse to accept the CIA backed coup of Ukraine govt in 2014. You are not against imperialism. You refuse to deny or accept when the west does that and aggressively accuse Russia which is a far weaker case. They best way to distract attention to your own evil is to loudly accuse everyone else of it. -

They are weakening Syria having made some sort of underhand pact with the jihadists. Reminds me how Bibi used to arm Hamas as if they are going to aid him in future and that ended up backfiring spectacularly. Well, this thing is eerily similar, but 10x worse. -

This screenshot should be in the history books. What enables this level of mocker of common sense? Is this some weird second order effect of post modernism or shit like this always happened? Weird times man. -

Americans and British whining about Russia being imperialist is the biggest joke. You know sometimes when women cheat, the first they do is to accuse her husband of cheating out of the blue. Because that is a good veil to mask her own immorality. If you confront her of this, then basically you and her are on the same page. Something like that is happening here. Same way by loudly accusing Russia and China of being imperialist merely because they exercise some level of influence among their neighbors is childish. All major nations of the world should be allowed to have spheres of influence. This is a near perfect way of how Russians think. Plus, the geopolitical reality that Putin has to face is a west who is dexterous in regime change operation and coups. The discussion of Ukraine Russia should start with the CIA orchestrated coup in 2014. Perhaps this is imperialistic western expansion for you. @Scholar This is also why NATO expansion is not perfectly by authentic interests of a country. There is plenty of coercion involved evidently as seen from Georgia and Romania. The western backed NGOs would never allow a legitimate election of a Russian friendly leader. -

Russia is invading Ukraine, not to reestablish USSR. Their intentions are not imperialistic in nature. -
@Loveeee UFO simply means "Unidentified". Doesn't mean it's aliens lmao. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.

Hi Europeans get ready to work more hours, say goodbye to free healthcare, pensions and pay even more in taxes to fight boogeyman Russia. Hope your support for Ukraine was worth it. -

I know this Jake guy and I am not going to watch this video, but I know the point he is going to make. "NATO expansion is a lie" "Here are the main reasons why NATO is bigger than ever." You see the irony don't you. It does not matter the reasons for which NATO expanded. NATO did expand. That is all that matters. How can you say that NATO expansion is a lie? NATO is bigger than ever. Now let's talk about the reasons. "The poor ex-soviet states was crying to include them in NATO and NATO out of the goodness of their hearts included them in NATO for security and protection." See the problem is that it does respect the geopolitical reality that Russians have to deal with. He is spinning NATO as an altruistic organization that works to promote security and peace. In reality they work to expand the geopolitical influence of the USA even to a few minutes from Moscow itself. And you think Russians are supposed to simply accept their fate? Evey talk about Ukraine joining NATO should start with the CIA orchestrated violent coup of the democratically elected leader of Ukraine in 2014. This is where the whole conversation should start so that things are put in the right perspective. None of these pro-western influencers talk about this. US is the master of regime change operation against socialist states, and they show no regard to their sovereignty, over including invading them. So NATO in Ukraine is an avenue of for the neoliberal influence of US to spill over to Kiev and a few minutes from Putin's chair itself. OF course Russians will have an issue with this. Nothing about this war is symmetrical. That is the point. Russians outnumber Ukrainian side with artillery and tanks, ammunition, command, tactics and manpower. Putin doesn't need your permission. He will take what he wants out of sheer force. Biden's actions (or whoever calling the shots) only increases the body count on both sides. Which I understand is a win for the west since they want these people to fight and die for neoliberal interests. -
Technically we are already in ww3. We are in the middle of it seeing it unfold. What would be interesting to see is if it would spiral out of control. This is definitely hotter than the cold war, but not as hot as a hot war can get. So, let's wait and see. We need to keep in mind that wars have been launched on foolish pretexts, often couched with ulterior motives of a few elites sacrificing the lives of millions of men.

Anyone noticed how all the webcams in the UK randomly got down? Fishy things are happening all at once. Elites from the either spectrum are planning something and they are being clumsy about it. Something big is right about the corner. Brace for it. A false flag attack so that they can use it as an official declaration of ww3 seem the most plausible. But this is all speculation.

The govt is behind this. There is some threat that is being observed or they want to manufacture consent for something shady they are about to do. "Oh look we found some shit" "Now let us do X which you would have otherwise resisted"

Russians cannot keep fighting forever and might run out of resources. So as the Ukraine. A complete collapse of the Ukrainian army is not implausible. -

Let's take free healthcare for example as progressive politics. I can give you examples of relatively lesser developed places in the world that had government supported free healthcare care to great results. If they can do free healthcare why is US being supposedly highly developed relatively unable to do so? -

Destiny has been justifying Israel's brutal genocide. Sam Harris has been pretty oblivious to this too. -

Damn I relate a lot with Cenk. Is that a problem? My understanding is that dems are no longer relatable to the minds of common people. They seem so disconnected from the common folks while running high on their corporate money. So they vote for the next most relatable dude who happened to be Trump. He took full advan of this relatability mismatch. Republicans administrations always went on to bled the population dry in actual numbers. -
