There is no reason to preserve a culture overall that doesn't meet ethical standards. That has nothing to do with individualism or being american, i am from europe. american culture has massive flaws, but it is more ethical than chinese, i like to believe. i would rather pick the one that is closer to being a compassionate one for humans and animals.

@erik8lrl listen, from an ethical pov china is not above the usa, and that is what in the end matters to every being. that chinese people dont care about choosing for themselves shows how undeveloped they are in terms of spiral dynamics and it is not actually a plus.

Yeah, that is not the case.. if you don't like climate change and animal abuse, you should not be in favour of chinese culture over usa. same goes for human rights and parenting.
