  1. Try not to take advice from anyone who hasn’t spent significant amounts of time/ lived in either or both of these places too seriously. My past two years I’ve been lucky enough to move around the country for work. I’ve noticed that every city and different areas around them tend to be completely unique. Will you be living directly in SF or NYC? The “cities” are always going to be somewhat different than any of the adjacent towns. I never lived in or around either city but I can say that West Coast tends to be much more “chill” than East Coast. Both cities are so diverse it’ll blow your mind In the end, I’m happy for you to have this opportunity and hope you enjoy it. Take the jump and fully embrace your new situation wherever that may be!
  2. @Nahm I would say yes and no. Computers are conscious when they are perceived?
  3. *only You are conscious. My ego is not the only conscious being in all of existence, right? You say self awareness doesn’t require consciousness but your equation at the end looks contradictory. Self awareness and consciousness are one in the same. Thus computers possess consciousness
  4. Hey all, This may have been discussed here already but it is a very intriguing and perhaps practical question, especially seeing how far computers have come in my lifetime and how they continue to progress. There is a computer in everything from a toaster to your smartphone. Some of these computers are simple mechanistic things, like a toaster, other computers like an iPhone can record events (often autonomously) and also make predictions. Is a computer conscious? Are there certain computers that posses consciousness and not others? I would assume that if certain computers are conscious, computer consciousness runs on a spectrum I am conscious of this phone and I can fathom how consciousness created the phone and how my perception and consciousness holds the phone in my experience. But is the phone, any sophisticated/unsophisticated computer, self aware? Does this computer awareness create a separated self (ego)? I observe in myself how my phone can be part of my ego, but does the phone perceive itself to be separate from me and the rest of the world?
  5. Hey so I met this girl on Snapchat when I replied to her story and basically spit some game and asked her to hang out. She says she’s down to meet but she is a model and needs me to pay a booking fee for her agency to go on a date. This feels like I’m being scammed. Has anyone ever met a model and then was told that you need to pay to be around them? She seems like a real person in my city and not a robot but feels like scam scenario. She sent me a contract with some details on what I am allowed and not to do with her. Basically, would any of you pay a booking fee to go on a date with a model?
  6. Collective consciousness can consciously or unconsciously create the moment as well. The collective can follow unconscious patterns and the collective can also consciously create
  7. I discovered this cool trick a few days ago and want to see what other peoples experiences with it are Stand in front of a wall like this and rest your forehead against it. Stare at the wall and slightly down into it. Calm your mind like meditation while staring at the wall. Continue to focus on this and you will cease thinking and you will also lose your “boundary” on the wall. I initially discovered this while on acid and was an absolute mindfuck. I have replicated it the days since. This makes it very easy to tell when you’re in ego dissolution because you literally become the wall and the rest of the room that you can perceive. While I was doing this a couple minutes ago, I was noticing the ego and thoughts going thru my mind and that would pull me out of the wall and back into my body. In fact, the very thought to make this post is what pulled me back into duality/thinking/ego and actually allowed me to post this!
  8. Wake up. Eat. Work with absolute focus and passion . No distractions. Eat again. Work. No distractions absolute focus. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.
  9. I like this. Does not all desire come from ego or a separation between self and other?
  10. I guess a better post would have been “what is prayer?”
  11. Been wondering this lately. Raised Christian but I threw this away at 18. After realizing spirituality i found things like meditation psychedelics and even LoA. “God” to me now is never what i thought it was as a christian or atheist. Entering into a clear minded meditative like state i realized what prayer was maybe meant to be. Now i wonder what your experiences with prayer are. Asking “god” for something doesnt seem valid to me because i am just asking for an “other” to come help me with my issues. Have been trying it lately but havent noticed any significance. What is prayer to you and do you use it?
