  1. Fathered 170 children, thats good going for a monk.
  2. Just think about it. There's no escaping Awareness.
  3. And if you experience oneness with a rat, where would that experience occur ? Also within your Awareness, right ?
  4. Is this imagined dream character happy ?
  5. I hear you. Just think about it, have you ever experienced anything outside your own awareness of it ?
  6. I think you might have it backwards. That sounds like the materialist paradigm. There is no reality without Consciousness. Reality is made out of Consciousness.
  7. Show me something that doesn't arise in Awareness/Consciousness ?
  8. Another word for 'absolute openness' is simply pure Awareness.
  9. I hear you, I just don't see the point in saying you have done the work, and then afterwards saying that doing the work is not really needed ?
  10. @Breakingthewall Right at the beginning you said you are the 'flow' of reality. This does seem to imply that you are identifying your true nature with something that changes. Are you not the changeless One ?
  11. It sounds like you are equating your ultimate identity with physical reality ?
  12. Form is not real in the sense that it's not permanent. What's real is You.
  13. There once was a mod called Nahm. Was he also into neo advaita ?
  14. Joe Hudson, truly a master coach. https://www.youtube.com/@ArtofAccomplishment/videos
  15. But you can say that about anything. Is the truth dreamed or imagined, that in order to get milk from the fridge, i need to walk to the fridge, open it, and take the milk out. These clever games dont change what needs to be done.
  16. I hear you, my point still remains, you did the work. This guy is saying there's no work to be done, which simply isn't true.
  17. My question is, how is this guy being helpful to someone starting out on their spiritual journey. You said yourself that you have done the work. This guy is basically telling people there is no work to be done. Im sure his teachings have their place and purpose. Im pointing out that these teachings can also be dangerous and misleading.
  18. Well, at least you are saying that investigation is required. The point is that we have a whole lot of concepts and psychological issues that cause us unneccessary suffering. These also need to be investigated, if we want to be at peace. Simply having the realization that you are not the doer etc is not enough.
  19. Yeah, but it it still needs to be done. No one else is going to deconstruct the mind and reality for you. I sometimes wonder what these neo advaita teachers are actually like in real life. Im sorry, but they all seem like dicks to me.
  20. He's basically saying there's no inner work to be done. These types of teachers need a slap in the face.
  21. Yeah, hopefully the US gets a Bernie Sanders type president for at least the next two terms. And if things go well, it might even be a longer term shift in a more compassionate direction.
  22. Not so easy to get out of a cult. Usually takes an existential crisis.
  23. I think a lot of Christians walk around with doubts. The biggest one is the belief that you only go to heaven if you believe in Jesus as your savior. Which means Christians are suppose to look at Buddhists doing loads of good deeds, and secretly believing them guys are going to hell. That one alone must cause some doubt for a lot of people.
