It seems to be a really effective way of pointing out the futility of seeking, ie not giving the individual anything to hold on. And thus allowing for the unravelling of the separate sense of self at quite a rapid rate.

I could be wrong, but has neuroscience not somehow proved that freewill is somehow an illusion, ie we think we are the thinker, but actually ultimately thoughts are just happening. Life is happening automatically by itself, ie we not in control.

In a sense is all of life not actually happening impersonally and automatically like this ?

Im not speaking in koans. When the sense of seperate self loses all momentum (it never really existed in the first place), all that there is, is whats always already the case, and that can't be an experience. ie impersonal, ie life is happening automatically.

States come and go. I know Jim Newman says: This (what is and isn't) is not an experience.

So when you look at things you see nothing illusory (maya), dreamlike or imagined ? (I mean like when the body dies, you don't really die.) So my question is: what is your definition of "real" ? But it's not possible to live continuously in that state of peak mystical experience. (Yet you seemed to describe it as the ultimate goal)

There are actually some similarities between what you're saying and what Jim Newman says. But what specifically do you find people objecting to in that paragraph you wrote ? (I'm not quite sure I understand your objections to no self though. It seems to link up nicely with solipsism also,)

I was thinking of 'nothingness' as being just another word for infinite shapeshifter. Somehow it doesn't feel negative to me. There's beauty to it. When Leo says, ur imagining all of this right now, how do you interpret that ?

What would you call the appearance of things ? Is it not nothingness/emptiness appearing as everythingness ?

@Breakingthewall When there is talk of Absolute Self or God, it makes me wonder: How exactly is your notion of God different from the indescribable mystery, so called nothingness, that has the infinite ability to appear as anything under the sun and beyond, and which has as its nature, unconditional freedom, unconditional love, unconditional aliveness, infinite beauty etc ? (ie radical nonduality)
