Languages are great at describing things that aren't experience. You can describe a mechanism in great detail with language. But you can't describe how yellow looks like to a blind person, and you can't describe how chocolate tastes like to someone who's never had it.

It's so much more than that. That's a typical one hit 10x experience. Or the world turning into a flipbook, that's a common one. The real experience is three hits of 60-80x. There's nothing remotely resembling our world after that. Again, I _really_ don't recommend it. I have serious doubts that anything more powerful exists in this universe as far as subjective experience goes.

I don't doubt 5meo is one hell of a ride, but I honestly don't want to try it. I know how to achieve oneness with meditation and while it may not be as potent as 5meo it feels more natural to do it this way. Salvia on the other will shatter everything you believe in. I don't recommend anyone try it honestly.

@JuliusCaesar I have high respect for Leo. I believe however that such over glorification of psychedelics will eventually backfire and it won't be a pretty sight. I realize he's had mystical experiences of absolute oneness and I don't doubt those for a minute. But until such mystical vision is sustained you will always be beaten down and brought back to Earth by the ego mind, which will always (with a 100% success rate) succeed in making you your bitch and do its bidding. The way to deal with this is to humble the fuck down, realize that everything is fucking perfect, and simply stop. Stop bullshitting with words, stop bullshitting with experiences, stop bullshitting with techniques, drugs, whatever. You're it, you've always been it, and there is nothing whatsoever to get out of it. No matter how many times over psychedelics will show you this point, your ego will simply keep coming back. And that's the real issue. There's no algorithm for enlightenment, and if psychedelics were it you would know by now because every damn hippy would be an enlightened sage overnight. What you do instead is groove with the universe is an endless meditation, and then you either get it, or you keep doing it. It doesn't matter either way, and that's the real beauty of it all.

God realization isn't the endpoint. It's just a way to map a certain experience to an ontological concept in order to satisfy your relentless ego. It's fine, I get it. I understand very well what Leo means by God realization, and I don't doubt your experience either. What you don't realize though, is that this goes deeper. There is no end to mystery and there is no end to realization. Psychedelics are ultimately more like a toy for kids, than they are a vehicle for the enlightened. You will not get anything from them. In fact life will frustrate you just the same after your realizations. This is because you don't get what these substances are. You think they are some dead matter that you take into your body, molecules that unlock secrets of the universe. Eventually you'll have a trip that will show you just how little you know, and then you'll finally realize that you don't know. And just like that, you'll know. It's a grand paradox. Those who know it, shut up. Those who don't, yap on and on. Ultimately, God is a word. And you're getting stuck on words instead of seeing through it.

Get over your idea that you know what psychedelics are. You don't. Neither does Leo for that matter.

@Mason Riggle Oh give me a break. I've done more potent psychedelics than you and I went farther than most here dare to, I can all but guarantee it. If you want to pretend that you can simply pop some drugs and *PUF* you're enlightened, be my guest. It's a nice fantasy but it won't get you there.

An enlightened person has no desire to combat anyone or anything.

Or, they can confuse the living hell out of you. Or, they can traumatize you for life. They are not predictable and claiming that they are is going to create a whole lot of suffering.

I agree with the above point in the sense that people are at vastly different levels when it comes to spirituality. Some people will benefit from Buddhism, others will transcend it, others will end up confused by it. Some people will benefit from God realization teachings, some people will end up massively confused by them. It's my humble opinion that if you want to truly awaken people you need to tailor the teachings to specific levels, or make the teaching such that it reflects truth no matter what angle you look at it from. This is why masters like Eckhart Tolle offer their teachings in a way where it's applicable to every single level. Someone who's new to spirituality will get one message, someone who's at a very advanced level will get a radically different message. I've noticed that highest teachings always work in this type of multi-faceted way, and that's why they sometimes appear vague to the ignorant.

Don Juan in Castanedas books was pretty clear about this. Your thoughts create reality. So it's rather simple. Stop thinking, and you stop the world. What remains is the truth.
