So then that means that enlightenment, awakening, God, etc. isnt real. Because as long as you're choosing to survive, you're automatically an ego? There has to be something about survival not being selfish, otherwise it just doesn't add up.
-
I'll have to disagree on that one. How can animals have an egoic mind that they can identify with so they can be evil? Yes their outward manifestation of survival is brutal, but how could it come from evil? In your video about the devil you said evil is selfishness, the belief that you are a separate self. How can an animal believe it's a separate self when it's brain is so underdeveloped physically compared to a human's? Doesn't enlightenment only exist for human beings because humans are the ones with the problem of identifying with their minds whereas animals and plants are already enlightened? Have you ever seen an animal want to commit suicide? I don't know, saying an animal is evil is like saying a hurricane is evil. Someone enlighten me

Hmm, about that last part with no thought. Would it be better to say that no identification with thought makes everything alright? No identification with though=no ego=no problem. There's a saying that goes, "True thinkers never think."
-
Well unconscious selfishness could be considered non egoic selfishness such as when an animal eats another. Doesn't it become paradoxical in a way that unconscious selfishness is no longer considered true selfishness? Like you said, what can you do to a 2 year old being unconsciously selfish. But then when you're being egoically selfish, it can't really be considered being consciously selfish either as that becomes another paradox. Maybe instead it's fair to say that unconscious selfishness such as a 2 year old or animal fighting another doesn't exist and the only unconscious selfishness is that of the ego.

There was a point in time when killing in the name of God was highly agreed upon throughout a nation. I was just using a more extreme example to make my point at how nonsensical the baby gender thing was. And yes, I can see how over generalizations are used to demonize the opposing side just like how leftists think every republican is a racist. The thing is that since the ego runs on fear, it holds the biggest threats to it at its forefront while disregarding the 99% and rationalizes that fear that if 1% of the opposing side is bad, it will progressively spread like a metastatic cancer where it will go from 1 to 10 to 30, etc. I've been very guilty of the 99 vs. 1% dilemma in the past in nearly all areas of life and I think it had more to do with my upbringing due to my family being Romanian where communism and dictatorship was rampant at one point. There are instances where the 1% managed to eventually spread to a majority, however but I guess as with all things in life, you can never be 100% certain.

I can't disagree to that as I've seen plenty of savage propaganda coming from the right. However I think that's also because the right is less reserved from being politically correct so they have a better sense of humor but as a result they're more unhinged in their ways. I'd say that as far as physical damage in the form of violence and vandalism is concerned, the left takes the cake on that one though. I mean I've seen violence coming from the right but not like you see in the amounts from the left. Especially for 2020. One thing that strikes me is that the left has nearly all the minority groups going for them. The right says that the reason for that is to create a democratic majority through minority groups by pandering to anyone who feels oppressed. Then again, I've also seen minorities going from left to right because they're sick of being fed the same old "you're oppressed, America hates you" rhetoric. Leo, maybe the left you're talking about that's better than the right wing is the more classical left, not this neo left we have going on. There's a reason why I've heard many leftists say, "I didn't leave the party, the party left me." 20, 30 years ago, no one was concerned with 99 genders, all of a sudden tearing down statues that have been up for more than a century, etc. The left during Kennedy's era was the higher consciousness left. It's just hard to support this current left that advocates for not assigning babies their gender until they get old enough to decide it on their own. I'm sorry but to me that's some type of mental gymnastics that it's become pure nonsense just like killing in the name of God is.

Spot on! I've been into spirituality for a good while now and I don't like the fact that sometimes it gets labeled as leftist. I have very right wing friends and when they hear me talking, they mention that I've been sounding more liberal just because I talk about oneness and consciousness. It's like spirituality has a negative stigma because of the left.

Lol I've been happy. I don't know why this forum is what it is lately, so you tell me since I'm new? Anytime I listen to an individual who has awakened or has been awakening such as Eckhart or Rupert, my first curiosity is what does an individual like that think about the right vs. left or Trump especially? Because if they start bashing Trump but never the left as well, then my ego automatically assumes oh man...yup...they're a leftist which decreases their credibility.
-
I think it's due to pessimism coming from the right when they see examples in other countries. They see it as "Well if you take my finger today, tomorrow you'll take my hand and then my arm." Many right wingers say that you have to vote for socialism, but shoot your way out for example. They see it as giving up a freedom such as owning certain guns in exchange for security as a big mistake. However I don't think America could ever be communist for the simple reason that it has been vastly capitalist prior unlike China and Russia. It would snap back like a rubber band so hard to the likes of which were never seen.

I just watched Anand talk about being how it's immoral to have billionaires. I was kind of left speechless when he said we've been trying to allow billionaires to be for the past few decades and it hasn't worked. Because my thought was well of course we have billionaires because they were able to become billionaires in the first place. It's like saying Trump pays little in taxes. Of course he does because we made the system that way where the government gives tax breaks for creating housing and jobs. Even Robert Kiyosaki advocates investing over being an employee for the reason that you simply get tax breaks. If we are talking about an innovator such as Zuckerberg, he must have some sort of greater wealth over any of his employees due to the fact that innovative (not investor type) billionaires were the ones who came up with an idea. The extent of that wealth going into the billions is very questionable but nonetheless, coming with an amazing idea should be rewarded greatly as not everyone can do it.

I'm not trying to defend right wing views, I'm trying to see if anyone can acknowledge right wing views as being as equally substantial as left wing views. The first thing I looked at was the guidelines and saw right wing views being mentioned as a no no but I didn't see anything about left wing or communism being a no no. It's like whenever something comes from the right wing, it's not valid. But when it comes from the left, it most certainly is valid. The left wouldn't even exist without the right and vice versa. Maybe the whole "low/high consciousness" of politics is jusy another way of saying right vs. Wrong.
-
Well right wing talking points aren't excluding the left. They're very real points based on the left's actions. Can't talk about the right or left individually as they are relative to one another. Thanks for the names, I'll look into them today.

Well private Healthcare is better quality whereas Universal works on a "wait in line" basis. Anytime something is offered for free, it eliminates variety and decreases quality. What I mean by "lazy" people, I'm referring to people taking advantage of welfare. Let me ask you this. Why do liberal cities have such high rates of homelessness among many other problems? Liberal cities are prime examples of the left being in control.

How is the left higher consciousness in the USA when it's the party primarily responsible for looting, burning, vandalizing, rioting, and murder? As much as I want to call that right wing propaganda, I can't. They demonize Trump for his slogan with "Make America Great Again" as if it was never great and yet they say that our country is systemically racist, ruled by white supremacists (even though we had a 2 term black president). If only they didn't do those things, they'd have much more credibility. What are some serious people on the left?
-
Ben Shapiro lol. He seems to be pretty fair calling Trump out on being dishonest at times the way he goes on about things. I really like the way he points out the left's blindspots. For example he mentioned how one guy at an interview in California was asked, "What are you doing to fight systemic racism?" And Ben mentioned how the only purpose of that question was if you "speak the language", not necessarily whether you know what systemic racist is or not. Tucker Carlson too. A conscious Trump supporter is more one who can really pick apart the left intelligently than one who just outright supports Trump "because guns". I'd say the biggest reason I've been for the right is because I used to be extremely liberal to the point that it was making me more unconscious.

Of course, you have to include aspects of the left. But key word: aspects. But the way the left has been going on about it, has been making them swing between red and green. One day they're green, the next they're red. I like the idea of universal healthcare and public education. What I don't like is how they are quick to judge those who slightly oppose it as being inconsiderate of others. When in fact, public education and Universal Healthcare is funded by tax payer money and if you are lazy and part take in nothing but devilry, then where is the consideration for the taxpayers contributing to the Universal Healthcare of that individual? That's my problem with the left, they talk about consideration and unity but only when it behooves them. If they were so much better, we wouldn't have close to half of all voters opposing them. They're happy they won but what does that fix? Country is still heavily divided. I want universal healthcare but I don't want it to go to waste.
-
Would you agree that both sides have their fair share of propaganda about each other? They point out each other's devilry without self reflection?
-
But the left hasn't just been opposing Trump. They've been opposing many other areas of society including police, businesses, etc. How can I see that left is better than right when they're both playing the pot calling the kettle black game? I can't say that either one is better. What I can say is that Trump showed that the left is just as bad therefore we can develop past both
-
They already said 2016 was a fraud when Trump beat Hilary. I've talked to many leftists prior to the election and asked them what would they think if Trump won again? Answers I got were: fraud, Russia again, corruption
-
I don't support Trump for his ideas so much as I support Trump for what he did to the left. The left's devilry spoke for itself. Yes people support those closest to their level of consciousness but that's not necessarily always the case when your options on who to support are very limited. The election was mainly going to be between republicans and democrats so I had to pick between either if I wanted to vote. If Don Beck was on the ballot with a good chance to win, then sure. Take the election results for example. If it was the other way around, the left would of reacted the same way calling the election a fraud.

My main point is the good that came out of Trump as far as consciousness goes. The left thinks it's in tier 2 and Trump is basically all like, "no, no you come back here, you're tier 1 like me." So in a way, Trump has helped me to be even more conscious than the left (going beyond green) by shedding light on the left's devilry. And I'm not saying that makes Trump more conscious, but rather Trump served a useful purpose. I think if you're an unconscious Trump supporter, then you're stuck in stage blue with Trump. But if you're a conscious Trump supporter, then you end up going past green which is where the left is at as you mentioned. To me it feels like I'm leaving the right and the left altogether. But if I'm going to pick a side, I'm going to pick a side that will allow me to be more conscious even though that side is lower consciousness than the other because it puts the so called higher consciousness party to the test. That is where I agree with Leo that it's more about left vs. Right, but about level of consciousness.
-
Leo mentioned in one of his videos that you don't have conscious politics until tier 2. So left wing being green and right wing being blue are stuck in tier 1 which is another reason why I am equating issues on the right with issues on the left. Maybe that's why the left hates Trump so much. That is where I agree with Leo that it's not about about left vs. Right, but about level of consciousness. I meant to say that the problem on the left is not universal healthcare but socialism/communism whereas with the right it's nationalism/fascism. Universal Healthcare is just something I very briefly mentioned. The left is now talking about equity over equality for example. Isn't that essentially communism? Anything that's free has to be provided by tax payers but socialism reaches the point where people end up getting more for doing less. Even though God is absolute, God also manifests as a multiplicity and it seems like the left wants to deny that multiplicity by wanting to cram everyone into the same box through equity over equality, so isn't that lower consciousness? We all share the same being but we are different as well, that's one of the hallmarks of God. How do we know the left isn't being egotistical in it's own way by refusing to accept that others have an advantage? Alexandra Cortez got backlash for a tweet saying that billionaires need workers but workers don't need billionaires. It's like the left creates division in its own way through a false sense of unity. "I am for unity and if you aren't, therefore you must go." Isn't that self defeating?
