So, 2^0 means 2/2, which is 1.
-
@Salvijus Why are you even writing x*x like x^2? Why not x[2] or something else?
-
@Salvijus If I showed you 2^3, you wouldn't understand it if you didn't know multiplication. Raising a number to the power of 0 means to divide it by itself.
-
I showed you what means to raise a number to the power of zero.
-
How did you learn multiplication?
-
You have to understand what it means to raise a number to the power of zero. In this case, you are literally dividing apples by themselves.
-
x = x, x = 1*x, x/x = 1, x != 0 (x^1)*(x^(-1)) = 1, x != 0 x^(1+(-1)) = 1, x != 0 x^0 = 1, x != 0

My mistake. Corrected it.

Yes, if I program it as such. But then that's not an addition. It's a custom-made arithmetic operation based on other defined operation(s). I could even make the "addition" process yield different results for "adding" the same or a different thing. Or maybe it'll yield a unicorn.
-
You mean, the concept of "2" would be the same as "11"? Or would the addition work differently?
-
1+1=2 (base 10), 1+1=10 (base 2) So, 2 (base 10) = 10 (base 2) However, in the same numeral system, they aren't the same. Have people forgotten that numeral systems exist?

Sorry for my tone.

Please don't ever gaslight yourself with spiritual stuff in order to feel validated for not being able to solve your situation.

@petar8p There are people who don't feel like contributing to their society because their values are too different from those of their peers, and they are likely here as guests or members. This is some real stuff. Clearly, the value gap isn't huge in your case.

If you were cut off from your environment and were put to live with Muslims, how would you survive? Your way of life is literally threatening to them. For example, one way could be, but I am still not sure, to minimize your engagement with them and have minimal influence on them.

@creativepursuit Great question!

I was on a self-help website that recommended Leo's "How to Meditate: The No Bullshit Guide to Meditation" video because I was interested in meditation, visualization, and hypnosis.

She could have shared her story without the intention of helping, be it genuine or not. I didn't mean to put her down. -

Nemra replied to Psychedelic seeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Well, you said people are making statements here and there. I'm saying that you may need to "generate the experience" to understand why such statements are made. They could be right or wrong. -
Nemra replied to Psychedelic seeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You have to accept that you can be wrong about anything in order to even discover what direct experience is. When you discover something, you'll likely make statements about it. Still, you can be right or wrong. -
Nemra replied to Psychedelic seeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Only focusing on others getting right or wrong is a waste of time because you already have your assumptions to uncover. By direct experience, I mean the things that you are aware of right now at this moment. Why do you think people here are confusing and not you? Although they can also confuse. I don't know what to tell you.
