@julienw yeah i mean depending on your financial situation, you can afford the luxury to not care about money. but personally i won't be investing thousands of hours learning a skill that i love if it's not going to impact people in some meaningful way. i care about my life's work and impact on the world more than just the pleasure of practice, i want to be valuable and useful to mankind in my own creative way.

@Leo Gura will i learn the business marketing stuff from your book list, or should i find it elsewhere ?
-
@Leo Gura i mean i can hypothetically do engineering or programming at university and getting a good job. the problem is i won't be passionate about it and it's going to cost me in the long run. but if i'm going to pursue my passion let's say making music, i want it to work, i don't want be the broke artist with no money. i guess i should learn business, marketing and sales and take the life purpose course to figure it out.
-
@Leo Gura so do you think that's why jordan peterson is conservative even though he's at yellow ?
-
@Leo Gura by the way leo, what do you think make someone have a conservative or a liberal mind. i can understand very much the conservative mind however i can't help being intuitively liberal
-
I was just watching the video about understanding the conservative mind and i thought that a video on understanding the pick up mind (or the player mind, or the pick up artist mind) would be extremely interesting.

Majed replied to tuckerwphotography's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@tuckerwphotography tricky because the conservative mind is black and white for the most part, whereas higher ego development entangles more blurring of boundaries and relativity. i think jordan peterson is a conservative by temperament and brain chemistry and maybe environment and age. liberals have in general higher ego development because higher ego development equals more open mindedness in general or at least the capability of being open minded without being scared. but yeah i would like to see someone from the strategist stage being a conservative other than jordan peterson. -
@Leo Gura are the videos in the life purpose course available or blocked ?
-
i want make this thread a catalogue of videos containing the widest variety of radically different perspectives possible. conservative, racist, criminal but also progressive, liberal, atheistic, theistic, sage like perspectives. it would be appreciated if you could indicate the level of spiral development and maturity from which the perspective is coming from. as well as it level of ego development. or one of the two. here you go, let's play !

@NoSelfSelf dude all of the theory has been derived from the field. you're going at it backwards. to be able to build character and become free you need massive practice, no amount of theory will give you that. reading books about enlightenment, although important, won't make you enlightened. plus, you should not demonize pleasure. pleasure is a good thing as long as your whole life is not built around it.
-
@NoSelfSelf success with women means attracting a lot of women, making out with 10 women in one night, being able to pull girls from the club.... it is good that you care about the theory, but ultimately the real results come from approaching thousands of women. you do not need a lot of theory just the basics that leo covers in his three part series.
-
@NoSelfSelf actually you're kinda overanalyzing it, i've had success with women through pick up, all you need to do is approaching as much as you can and learning the theory from leo's series. have you approached thousands of women ?
-
@NoSelfSelf lol being grounded yeah that's true, but also game requires learning through trial and error and developing skill, the not giving a fuck attitude is itself the result of developing social skills through approaching and getting rejected.

@Bittu keep going king !

was wondering if that was from the construct aware or the strategist stage « If we think of a spider as a creature that spins webs, we can think of humans as creatures that spin narratives about reality. That’s why people have such radically different worldviews in a certain sense, it’s because every worldview is constructed by the ego mind. Hinduism, christianity, islam, judaism, atheism, relativism, feminism, postmodernism, veganism, buddhism, agnosticism, communism, capitalism...All of it is pure fantasy and constructions that help us survive. It’s like constructing a car, it’s useful, but not real, i mean what is a car fundamentally, existentially, we don’t think of a car as what it actually is but of how it can help us survive, how it can serve us. That’s why ancient Egyptians could get away with believing in multiple gods and stuff. They were not crazy, they were just constructing something that helps them make sense of reality. And you’re doing the same thing with whatever ideology you’re subscribing to or whatever worldview you hold. » tell me what you think

Majed replied to Rasheed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Rasheed sahguru is a wise guy but you know don't take everything he says too seriously. if he says that you shouldn't have sex with many women doesn't mean you shouldn't. -
talking about horizontal development here: at stage blue, it is following the instructions of the holy book, and becoming a better muslim, hindu or chrisitan. maybe marriage and raising good kids. going to church and so forth. at stage orange, it will be more about career oriented goals and achievements, as well as maybe fitness and dating. at stage green, it will be more about exploring different states of consciousness, different perspectives, relationships and countries. as well as developing one's self internally, becoming more compassionate, developing one's passions, philosophy of life and living a more harmonious, balanced existence with the whole: ecological awareness, veganism, exercising... at stage yellow, integrating all that came before so that you can be a hippie without being broke. + taking responsibility for your sense-making, reading more books acquiring more knowledge, and being effective at systems thinking. + contribution to mankind through one's life's work. at stage turquoise, i haven't reached it yet so i do not know.
-
@John Paul i mean yes that's true, but still relative to stage orange, stage green is kind of the first stage to start valuing diversity of perspectives, holism and balance for their own sake even though of course stage yellow is more adequate in general at doing this.

@FlyingLotus why are some many videos on the forum inexistent ?

@Tyler Robinson hey tyler, if you want to talk, i'm here

Majed replied to AndylizedAAY's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@AndylizedAAY the key here is to keep masturbating. you can not expect yourself to at the same time get rid of bad habits and install healthy habits at once. keep masturbating but also mediate for 10 min a day, not necessarily in the morning whatever time during the day, meditate for 10 min. do not change your "unhealthy" habits for now, even though masturbation and some youtube entertainment does no harm if done in the right proportions, but add 10 min of meditation per day, after some time you would want to meditate more. but for now 10 min of meditation a day is doable if you do not have any health issues. -
@mmKay you're wise
-
@Leo Gura -more practical videos like the how to get laid series but about business and health -videos like "making sense of jordan peterson" but on other interesting figures or phenomenon in society, basically a "making sense of" series like for example making sense of women, the evolution of technology, climate change, incels, sadhguru, etc... -a second video on jordan peterson would be appreciated also thank you for your work

Like what is the biology or brain chemistry or whatever that makes self discipline possible ? Do non-human animals have it too ? A lot of people attribute success and free will to discipline, but where does self-discipline comes from exactly in the body ?
-
@Tyler Robinson what do you mean by a “well adjusted” brain? Is it a skill that you develop same thing as getting good with women for example ?
