This video is great because it shows the contrast between conservative christian who are at the conformist stage of ego development who are more focused on strict observance of rules, and fundamentalist way of interpreting christianity. and progressive christians who are more flexible and more focused on the human aspect of things, like jesus love for all beings... who are more towards the pluralist stage of ego development.

what i noticed is that leo doesn't emphasize enough the value in learning new languages. a new language can make you discover a new culture, new people, new ways of life... it's really invaluable. so much growth, development and wisdom can come from it.

the most constructed mind vs the most deconstructed mind, or the least conscious mind vs the most construct aware mind. it'll be something like a religious fundamentalist vs leo gura. the more you deconstruct your mind the more you deconstruct boundaries between men and women, human and animal, human and machine, religious and atheist, men and god, men and alien... the more constructed your mind is the more you feel like reality is outside of you and you have no control over it. the more deconstructed your mind is the more you become like god and become more conscious. take an example at a religious fundamentalist vs a blasphemous hedonistic atheist. which one do you think has more freedom and is more godlike? counterintuitively it is the blasphemous hedonistic atheist. Literally you have more options and freedom in life and is more godly in your existence. that explains the charlie hebdo phenomenon for example. when you understand that religion is a construction of your mind, you can play around with it, whereas when you take it as physical reality, you become a terrorist and assassinate the blasphemous atheist. because for you good and evil are also not a mental construct but objective reality, and you see charlie hebdo as evil. That's why religious people have a very strong duality between, god and satan, good and evil, halal and haram, heaven and hell, the believers and the infidels... That's why they have problems with technology and science look at the amish, the hasidic jews, the mennonites... the more you become conscious the more you blurr boundaries. that's where racism, homophobia, religious intolerance, animal exploitation, transphobia, sexism, denial of science and technology comes from. people have their mind so rigid and constructed, they're not evil people, they're just living in a separate reality, very unconscious. after religious fundamentalism, comes something like materialism, then something like the new age, then something transhuman/transrational. Notice each time an increase in freedom and consciousness. atheists have their minds more deconstructed than religious people, even though atheists themselves don't understand this, they think they're more rational than religious people, no, they're just more conscious. that's why atheists tend to be more open minded, less homophobic, racist... the more racist, homophobic, xenophobic, religious fundamentalist, a person is, the more unconscious it is, the more reality feels real, tangible and outside of oneself, because oneself and the world is also a duality, which is not deconstructed, mind and materialism isn't deconstructed. and real and unreal isn't deconstructed. That's why religious people have such strict rules about how to live life, they don't realize these rules are mentally constructed. it's not just the racism, homophobia, close mindedness, science denial.. it's a whole reality, very firm, very constructed, very strict in morals and upsetting god for the most little thing, represses sex... She's literally like someone during the nazi regime standing up defending the jews and the homosexuals. notice that antisemitism isn't only limited to nazism, people still to this day construct reality in antisemetic homophobic ways. take a look at the october 7th attack on israeli jewish citizens by hamas. That's clearly anti semetism, and i don't imagine hamas being pro gay rights either.

do religious spiritual practices like going to church or the islamic prayer work ? I've done a lot of spiritual work (meditation and contemplation) and i notice that when i go to church or when i do the islamic prayer, a shift in awareness. Does this liturgy work ? is it a genuine spiritual practice ? i would tend to say yes. if that's the case then religious people, like for example people who attend church regularly, or people who do the 5 islamic prayers everyday, have a different state of consciousness than people who don't practice spirituality at all.

mental illness is a social construct, there's only states of consciousness. Reflecting back now that i'm recovering from ocd, it's like ocd was making me living in a different reality. In a video leo said, there's no such thing as reality, there's a muslim reality, a jewish reality, a budhhist reality, an atheist reality... We can apply this same model to mental illnesses: there's an ocd reality, an autistic reality, a schizophrenic reality, a depressed reality, a boderline personality disordered reality, a biopolar disordered reality...
