The logic behind my plan is that it's not logical to think that to make money as a rapper you need to blow up and make millions, or you make nothing. There must be some way in between to practice making money and start earning it, first as a part time income, then a full time income, then if you blow up you make millions. This binary black and white thinking or you're either drake or a nobody isn't logical.

@Leo Gura I imagine other mental illnesses to feel the same. Like bipolar, depression, bpd, antisocial personality disorder, multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia... From what i've lived and suffered through, no amount of will or philosophy or proper living is going to affect your mental illness. Only medications will. Mental illness is just something outside the will of a human being. It's similar to your health issues leo, no amount of philosophy is gonna cure them, only proper medications, if you find them.

On leo's blog post about the corruption of psychiatry: For someone who has OCD, and before treatment my life was hell, and was at my utmost dysfunction. No amount of philosophy could have ever helped me without taking the medications, which helped my brain refunction properly. I found his post about psychiatry, deeply concerning and untruthful. An illness is an illness, no amount of philosophy is going to help you, you need medications. @Leo Gura What do you think ?

@Raze Watch out for your projections.

Hey there, i was thinking about how to go about self actualization and the problem that i face is that whenever i try to self actualize, like to meditate, read, contemplate, exercise. I always run into the same problem, which is that life starts to feel like a grind all the time. Since i study, and work as well, doing self actualization makes life too much of a hustle, and doesn't leave any room for just chilling and watching some youtube, or listening to music, or watching a series. Life becomes too much of a grind where on a daily basis, all that you're doing is performing, whether it's studying, or working, or doing self actualization. I need in my life plenty of room to relax and chill. And by that i don't mean to meditate or contemplate, since those are in my experience a hustle and work, not a relaxation or chill time. The solution would be to build my life gradually where i focus first on making money, and being financially successful, turning my passion and creative work (rap music) into my career, and then i would have plenty of time to do self actualization. But that will require years since first i am planning on finishing this year at the institute where i study physical education, then enroll in a translation and interpreting degree, to then after i complete it being able to finance my creative work (rap career). And then once my rap career is successful, i can then do self actualization work, because i will have more free time and energy. What do yall think ?

@CARDOZZO You're totally right the problem is making money is challenging. Now i got a plan to freelance in video editing to be able to finance my rap career.

@Husseinisdoingfine nope set firm boundaries.

I decided to switch majors from information technology to physical education. I went into information technology for the money, but i soon realized that i couldn't do it anymore because i just lack the passion for it. Physical education sounds like a nice switch up, because i will learn about health, fitness, nutrition, physiology, anatomy, i resonate with that more than with information technology.

@Ponder I tried veganism, not very practical. It's harder to be healthy on a vegan diet than on an omnivorous diet, you gotta do more planning, being more educated on nutrition... Not everyone is equipped to be vegan.

@Leo Gura can you respond to this ?

In defense of alcohol : People who are against alcohol usually talk about its negative outcomes on health. However there's benefit in experiencing alcohol and its effect to gain awareness into what the alcoholic experience feels like. It's just like with sex or drugs, people may say sex could lead to diseases, or drugs can have negative outcomes health wise. However engaging in those activities is part of what makes life rich and meaningful. Life isn't supposed to be risk free and without danger and even pain. Life is supposed to be risky, dangerous and even painful. Why did God create suffering if not because of the thirst God had to experience it. Because all experience brings about some wisdom to be learned and some awakening to a new facet of life. Hell you might become a connoisseur of alcohol and it can become your deepest passion and bring you much more fulfillment and meaning than negativity in your life. Also there's a difference in degrees and how alcohol affect people differently, there's a spectrum there. All of these nuances have to be taken into account when talking about alcohol, besides just it's potential negative health consequences. Plus i notice a double standards when people will demonize alcohol or drugs and do other potentially unhealthy dangerous activities like consuming a lot of junk food, or a lot of toxic content on social media which might harm their mental health and might also harm them in deeper ways.

School is just not for me, and i don't want a lot of money, i just want to be able to live a decent comfortable life. How do i do it outside the school/academic system ?

@Theprofessional I bet you didn't do much pick up to say that. If you approach thousands of women a lot of your limiting beliefs will be shattered. Women do not get attracted to your money because attraction isn't logical, it's emotional. And attracting a wife or a girlfriend is the same process as attracting a one night stand, because attraction is the same thing.
-
@Theprofessional I found this to be true, lmao, maybe not 270k per year, but like yeah you need money to do pick up effectively. Like you need money for a car, a house or uber and the hotel room... Plus entrances to clubs consistently... Plus you need the money to move to a better city/country... All of that takes lots of money. Plus money for dates... If you're parents can't help you with all of that and you're young, well what are the chances you'll get laid ? None. I've tried it. I've done 2500 approaches without getting laid. To do pick up you gotta be rich, in a nutshell. Leo just doesn't appreciate how bad most people in the world have it, to the point where they can't afford to do pick up, just on a money level. All of leo's content doesn't work for most people because they don't have enough money or time (because they have to work for the money) to put it in practice. Therefore realistically, instead of teaching us how to deconstruct rationality, he needs to teach us how to make more money to be able to then work on spirituality effectively, or on our dating life, etc... @Leo Gura What do you think?

@Leo Gura Where is the video then ? lmao just joking, take your time.

Majed replied to Shakazulu's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura Yeah i realized over the years, that i do not need spirituality to be happy. If i have my health at 80, even without doing any spiritual work, i'll be fine. And if my health is bad and i am about to die, then be it. Basically a lesson in acceptance. -
@Emerald Most guys are sexually frustrated. Having a girlfriend doesn't mean one is not sexually frustrated. You've only got one out of billions of hot girls, think about how frustrating is that. As men we crave variety, not just having one girlfriend.
-
@Something Funny Dude obviously spiral dynamics is group think, like there's not even a need for debate.
-
@Princess Arabia That's some bullshit, this guy was a sexually frustrated sri lankan, who rarely sees a hot white girl, and so he took his chance. lmao. Obviously.
-
@Something Funny Unpopular opinion : spiral dynamics is group think and low intelligence.

@MAT02 try semen retention and fasting and tell me how it works out for you. It's pure foolishness and torture, not smart at all.
