Not really. First of all barbarous can mean brutal but also uncivilised. Again how is Finland more barbarous than Somalia? That’s also not sure. It’s not sure that if Somalia had those resources that they would have made those innovations and inventions. I’m not saying it’s impossible but we’ll never know. Sure. But that doesn’t mean you can blame it on outside forces. Maybe you could also blane it on their tribal nature, religion. Maybe some countries are just less able and willing to build good infrastructure, democracy, school system etc. Because they only care about the survival of their tribe within the country or whatever.

Trying to fix yourself or fix the world or your surroundings will seemingly never work. All this playing chess against yourself in your head is going nowhere. All of this trying to land somewhere. Make it right. Finally get it is seemingly an illusion. All of this fighting with your thoughts or feelings is going nowhere. Because there is seemingly already no you to really do that. It’s a mirage.

To me all that sounds quite ideological. And not necessarily true. Yes there was colonialism and so on and it’s part of the equation. There were empire everywhere. In Europe in Africa in Asia in Mexico and the Americas before the settlers. But imo western countries got better living standards through innovation. You fail to mention that. The amount of innovation from some of the small European countries. The amount of nobel price laureates per capita. Japan for example was very colonial for a while. But imo they prospered mostly through innovation. Can you name me countries that aren’t “barbarous”?

Never watched any videos of these people but the video showed up and I found this mildly interesting. Mostly the first 30 Minutes then it got a bit boring. Actually this is the video underneath that popped up first in my feed and there was some stuff true for me that’s why i watched the second one. I got quite sick on the 29th December, which was coincidentally also my birthday and i was in Paris. And then on the 13th switched to a auto immune diet and felt better since. These things kind of coincide with that latter video.

So how are these countries some of the most barbarous? Also what do you mean by barbarous? Edit ok i read your explanation/idea. But i don’t agree with your view at all. For example Russia. Very “barbarous” in foreign policy yet the populace doesn’t have that much freedom for self development or how ever you put it. Or would you say Canada is still very “barbarous” in its foreign policy compared to lets say Iran, North Korea, Somalia?

That’s all true. But France has also done great things. The number of things that were invented in France in the last few hundred years is crazy and humanity is a lot better with these inventions. That’s what haters fail to acknowledge. I must say i do appreciate Europe a lot. I‘ve traveled around the world. Stayed in Latin America for 6 months, stayed in Australia over 6 months, stayed in Asia over 6 months. And it’s all great. But to me there is no real competition. The beauty of European cities is endless architecture amazing imo. The Mediterranean, the alps, the democracy, the safety, the trains/pt, the history etc. 💜🌞

For years i thought reddit was just about supplements and nootropics and it was quite helpful. Then at some point i downloaded it and found out there’s a reddit for everything and it was quite consuming and fun. Then years later i found out that there’s lots of porn on reddit and at some point had to delete it.

I think democracy is one of the most important things we have. Maybe thee most important. When the Elon attacks democracy in Europe and elsewhere, doesn’t that automatically make him very dangerous?

What about Elon cozying up to AFD in Germany and Farage and that other guy in prison in the UK?
