  1. patents per capita: The peak came in 2000, when Israel was ranked third in the world for patents filed per capita according to the country of the inventor, after Finland and Sweden. Today, Israel is fifth, after Japan, Sweden, Switzerland and South Korea. Finland has dropped to sixth. GDP per capita has the US on place 7
  2. in terms of military, entertainment (hollywood etc. ) tech (google, apple, microsoft etc.) the US is the greatest, that's true in terms of living, social institutions, infrastructure, public transport etc. the US is not the greatest, although "living" is very subjective of course nature is great in the US but that's also subjective
  3. no never, don't particularly care about the place either yea thnx or maybe "Leo"wanted to give me "enlightenment" maybe when it got closer i wasn't ready though maybe i felt i don't have the tools as i didn't feel i have enough money or it was too hard to count for me maybe the burnt kid was me too, which needs healing first before further steps towards "enlightenment" maybe all of this is total crap though
  4. There might be some positives, depending on the country (not in a million years would i want to go to prison in the us) For example me, i'm easily distracted by lots of stuff, internet cell phone and so on. In prison i would probably spend a lot more time meditating and reading etc. if i had my own cell. But still you're just a number there, you don't have your freedom, what will you do when you get out, weird dudes, asshole correctional officers, no females, no nature etc.
  5. They've also been around for thousands maybe ten-thousands of years though Sadhguru has been talking some silly stuff lately
  6. Today i was out and about and listened to some of Leo's episodes. Some of the old one's How to deal with toxic people It's an episode from 6 yrs ago, it's very practical and straight to the point, i liked it. the other one was Spiritual Enlightenment - Intro also a very old episode, didn't listen to the full episode as i felt i'm mostly already too advanced for it. listened to it for like 30mins
  7. being cool, looking cool, appearing cool, feeling cool wanting to be cool and appearing cool to others? Is that a thing of the ego?
  8. Have you read the Bhagavad Gita? I mean it depends how you defend them, if you defend them without hate and ill feelings, staying in the moment it might be no or just minimally ego identity
  9. Great way of thinking man, don't be a pawn. Now if you do get attacked and have to defend your family and loved one's then that's something else. Again watch some docs
  10. Maybe get some vitamin d3 and zinc They should be good to strengthen the immune system
  11. did you like it? i need to check that out soon then.
  12. Yea i'm sorry for you, that sounds very bad. I'm so glad in my country we're allowed to leave the house whenever we want, i'm in nature a lot during this pandemic. If the state forbids people to leave the house etc. then i can see how people go crazy and come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories. I think your government is also at fault here. all you can do is until london.
  13. i think it's jogging time again guys I'll look into some joint and knee supps too, i found some but most are fortified with some vitamins which i don't need.
  14. I'm going jogging right about now. Ordered some good jogging shoes during the pandemic when fitness centers etc. closed and i'm usually going to the forrest which is about 5 mins from where i live. There are also some pull up bars, which is nice. Feels great to break a sweat sometimes. Especially in these computer centric times.
  15. Instead of just posting a video, why don't you tell us something about it? I like fasting btw.
  16. well if it's 90% of people then you can't really avoid them or try to convince them of anything else. maybe just try to practice awareness and patience and find online forums etc. such as this to talk about the real issues or if you can't do it because it's driving you insane try to move to another more progressive city/neighbourhood or country.
  17. Here from the Sadhguru topic In what way can it lessen consciousness? Is it a long-term thing? What happens when people respond negatively to that specific substance? Could people who have experienced such things or Leo elaborate a bit on that? Seems to be pretty important.
  18. Obviously it's very complicated, tense and it's a tough place to keep secure etc. It's also an interesting country to visit.
  19. They also do a lot of "bad" stuff though and things which go against "peace". Watch some documentaries.
  20. In the end nothing is called anything. We just gave different emotions names or made sounds with our mouths to describe them somehow. If you had that positive constant feedback as a child then you might not need if you're a grown up. If you come from some kind of "broken home" etc. you might actually need some of that social feedback and there might be value to it. Even famous people etc. a lot of them became successful because they seek some kind of validation. And if you just focus on spirituality being aware etc. might also not be the best idea all the time if you have some deficits. Or do you know some kind of good techniques to get over needing positive social feedback? In the end there is no feeling called coolness. But there is also no word for the short confidence/dopamine boost which i described i think. Other people might define feeling cool differently. I get your point about the assessment of the situation and the feeling not totally coming from the inside. The problem here is also "shame" on the opposite side of the spectrum imo. Because the same way i might feel cool if girls turn their head or people laugh at jokes, i might feel shame if i assess another situation differently. So it's not really a winning game anyways. If i value peoples opinions (which i do at the moment) then i value the positive and the negative ones. Thanks for writing such an elaborate post.
  21. It's very hard to even define. Coolness is probably also defined different in different cultures, countries, times etc. The feeling that i define as "cool" is probably a combination of different feelings and has something to do with dopamine etc. For example let's say you walk down the street and some girls look at you or let's say they even turn their head and look and make it obvious they look at you think you're interesting etc. whatever. Now the feeling that you get from that with the dopamine etc. i might define it as feeling cool while you might define it as "desired" or something. Or when you say something funny and everybody laughs, i might define the feeling as cool while you might define it as something else. I'd probably define it as some kind of confidence boost for a while which then makes you feel "freer" more in a flow state etc. But maybe if i'd really think about it i'd come up with something else.
  22. good question and some interesting answers i'll look into it too
  23. watched it after i posted that, pretty funny david pakman plays the straight man pretty damn well but my thoughts on jesse are: he's just a rambling, old-ish dude, has a young team around him who set everything for him up, studio etc. (mostly white kids) put a battery in his back and they make a looot of money selling stupid t-shirts and mugs to republicans, trumpists and people who are fed up with the left, sjw etc. while using dumb catchphrases like "amazin" and "beta" seems like their business strategy is working out great
  24. Work at a nursing home or something like that as a volunteer etc. You'll probably see many old people go. I used to work in an office of a retirement/nursing home for a while (not as a volunteer) and i'm thinking about doing even a lot more work in that "health" sector Death is usually kind of blocked out of sight in our society
