  1. mr girl also has some russian heritage i think i've heard him say that not saying it makes him more open for russian reasoning or propaganda but who knows
  2. i didn't say that's what you did, i just asked if you do that because i don't know you obviously obviously there are many rationalisations, everybody has rationalisations for what they do most people don't think they're evil people who kill lgbt have their rationalisations, people who rape someone etc. hitler and the nazis had many rationalisations, many (conspiracy theorists?) believe hitler and the germans were baited into ww2 for example and that jews were destroying germany and europe or whatever.
  3. well you say that but do you really actively seek out to listen to for example white lynchers pov who thought it was the best idea ever to lynch black people etc.? and stay open minded while listening to them. (this is just an example out of many) just saying we should listen to all pov's without actually doing it is just kind of virtue signalling imo
  4. should we care about everybody's pov? or shouldn't we? once someone is the attacker should we care about their pov? should we care about the pov of white lynchers, of nazis, of people who rape and kill women etc.? not saying we shouldn't
  5. a lot of it probably coming from muslim immigrants (which the left doesn't want to see or talk about) obviously also a lot coming from far right white brits etc. and also maybe from leftists who are very pro palestine
  6. think he lives in the u.s. the guy seems a bit questionable imo, i don't fully trust him but also haven't watched his vids in years
  7. yea it's very hard to fake it (until you make it) i'm often needy, not clingy though
  8. What has Russia gained with this invasion thus far brought the Ukraine closer together brought the West closer together brought NATO closer together made Zelensky an international icon (even if they kill him now) made enemies for decades made Europe stack up their military and got tons of sanctions killed civilians and took some important cities and attacked some strategic important places
  9. i hope that even if "we" (the west) or the russians do get rid of putin, and russia gets a new leader and becomes more democratic and the ukraine joins the e.u. or whatever. that we still look at our own faults critically at what the west and nato could have done better
  10. you're from Turkey? Will there be a Kurdistan? i suppose so
  11. Knowledge Hoarder isn't American, and i think Putin even accelerates the change from within with his clamping down on freedoms and media. Many Russians already tasted freedoms, its hard to put the genie back into the bottle
  12. i don't think putin is evil, imo he's just paranoid and jealous that the ukraine wants closer ties to the west than him now there's some truth to putins fears of the west and nato but certainly he won't stop it, he's just creating enemies in the ukraine for decades and decades imo he also really can't win this conflict it's terrible for everybody except the weapons manufacturer and some politicians
  13. i don't even care if they're democratic, they should just give freedoms to their own people (freedom for women, freedom of speech, right to protest etc.) and not invade other countries there is no truth but in this dream i'd rather we stop putin and put navalny in his place
  14. the Ukrainians want to fight for freedom against an autocratic invader and they're doing good thus far, obviously every life lost is very sad but just giving in to the bully wouldn't be good either
  15. it certainly does to a degree but there are also many russians (especially young ones) opposed to this invasion i'm opposed to all invasions, it's barbaric do you see the clamp down in russia on free media etc.? i'm ready for a turtle steak though right about now
  16. when it causes problems for you or others
  17. ok good i have around 36.7 degrees celsius
  18. are you vegetarian/vegan? it's certainly very bad that these turtles died. but i guess we often still prioritise humans over animals or plants
  19. oh noes, i have some of those traits
  20. i don't think there's black and white, nobody is totally good and nobody is totally bad people think they're doing good while doing bad etc. or people think they're doing bad for an ultimate greater good but the invasion needs to be stopped and condemned
  21. Might watch it but i'm pretty sure i already know why Putin is opposed to NATO I don't even really like NATO and in a better world there would be no use for them But if these countries next to Russia are scared of Russia and want to be in a defence pact because of it then that's fair imo And after this attack on the Ukraine i'm more pro NATO I thought the Muricans were mostly spreading panic, or speak an attack into existence when they said "watch out he's gonna attack" everyday But i was wrong and this attack changes many things imo, before i thought Russia needs be more closer integrated with Western Europe but now i think Putin probably needs to be stopped. Then after that in a decade or two we still need Western Europe and Russia to be closer imo because we're neighbours and we can't change that.
  22. Why so illuminating? He said that "then they can't decide which political decisions NATO takes" But if we look at NATO countries, some of the eastern, ex soviet countries are some of the most anti Russian NATO members like Poland for example. Same with the Ukraine, if they became a NATO member they'd obviously be one of the biggest anti Russia guys in there and not because of the US or the UK imo More so than Germany or France, Spain etc. So it's not like they got somehow coaxed into taking steps against Russia or whatever. Oliver Stone is a treasure though
  23. funny because purptree is also scorpio rising
