  1. probably working on that course he mentioned
  2. Listened to it and it was fine really didn't learn anything new though, i do understand that Russian perspective, until they attacked the Ukraine But the philosopher said stuff like Russia doesn't want to be pushed around, Russia has a great history ok fine. But Ukraine has history too and doesn't want to be pushed around or attacked either.
  3. they probably would have joined at some point. but there were many people in europe who were nato critical. if putin kept doing what he was doing for years. things like destabilise e.u./europe, nato, support groups in eastern ukraine. support right wingers in europe etc. would have been much smarter imo. now as i said he only brought nato closer together and got countries to invest more money in it for decades to come he made the best advertisement for nato that nato could ever hope/wish for with this invasion
  4. it's certainly dicey, that's why these companies should be broken up and not hold too much power but then we have to trust the government which also is problematic
  5. "In 2019, Sterzel moved to Los Angeles because he felt that he would lose his life or be incarcerated in China following threats by ultranationalist Internet users and the government, who accused Sterzel's wife of being a spy and a threat to national security.[18]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winston_Sterzel
  6. Listening to it but i think he should also have an Ukrainian philosopher on to even things out. This Russian philosopher isn't even allowed to use words like invasion, war, annexed (because of putin)
  7. mr girl also has some russian heritage i think i've heard him say that not saying it makes him more open for russian reasoning or propaganda but who knows
  8. i didn't say that's what you did, i just asked if you do that because i don't know you obviously obviously there are many rationalisations, everybody has rationalisations for what they do most people don't think they're evil people who kill lgbt have their rationalisations, people who rape someone etc. hitler and the nazis had many rationalisations, many (conspiracy theorists?) believe hitler and the germans were baited into ww2 for example and that jews were destroying germany and europe or whatever.
  9. well you say that but do you really actively seek out to listen to for example white lynchers pov who thought it was the best idea ever to lynch black people etc.? and stay open minded while listening to them. (this is just an example out of many) just saying we should listen to all pov's without actually doing it is just kind of virtue signalling imo
  10. should we care about everybody's pov? or shouldn't we? once someone is the attacker should we care about their pov? should we care about the pov of white lynchers, of nazis, of people who rape and kill women etc.? not saying we shouldn't
  11. a lot of it probably coming from muslim immigrants (which the left doesn't want to see or talk about) obviously also a lot coming from far right white brits etc. and also maybe from leftists who are very pro palestine
  12. think he lives in the u.s. the guy seems a bit questionable imo, i don't fully trust him but also haven't watched his vids in years
  13. yea it's very hard to fake it (until you make it) i'm often needy, not clingy though
  14. What has Russia gained with this invasion thus far brought the Ukraine closer together brought the West closer together brought NATO closer together made Zelensky an international icon (even if they kill him now) made enemies for decades made Europe stack up their military and got tons of sanctions killed civilians and took some important cities and attacked some strategic important places
  15. i hope that even if "we" (the west) or the russians do get rid of putin, and russia gets a new leader and becomes more democratic and the ukraine joins the e.u. or whatever. that we still look at our own faults critically at what the west and nato could have done better
  16. you're from Turkey? Will there be a Kurdistan? i suppose so
  17. Knowledge Hoarder isn't American, and i think Putin even accelerates the change from within with his clamping down on freedoms and media. Many Russians already tasted freedoms, its hard to put the genie back into the bottle
  18. i don't think putin is evil, imo he's just paranoid and jealous that the ukraine wants closer ties to the west than him now there's some truth to putins fears of the west and nato but certainly he won't stop it, he's just creating enemies in the ukraine for decades and decades imo he also really can't win this conflict it's terrible for everybody except the weapons manufacturer and some politicians
  19. i don't even care if they're democratic, they should just give freedoms to their own people (freedom for women, freedom of speech, right to protest etc.) and not invade other countries there is no truth but in this dream i'd rather we stop putin and put navalny in his place
  20. the Ukrainians want to fight for freedom against an autocratic invader and they're doing good thus far, obviously every life lost is very sad but just giving in to the bully wouldn't be good either
  21. it certainly does to a degree but there are also many russians (especially young ones) opposed to this invasion i'm opposed to all invasions, it's barbaric do you see the clamp down in russia on free media etc.? i'm ready for a turtle steak though right about now
  22. when it causes problems for you or others
  23. ok good i have around 36.7 degrees celsius
