  1. Keep up the good work, Dude. Helped motivate me to get back into a healthier routine.
  2. It's been roughly 3 months and I have managed to follow through on some of the habits I had set myself. I noticed that I burn myself out after a few productive days, which is causing me to fall back into unhealthy habits. In order to tackle this, I will become more orderly during the morning before work and be ready for an early night during the weekdays. Here is my weekday morning routine; Weekday Morning Routine 5.30 – Get out of bed, drink some water and start meditating 5.55 – Read core values and affirmations 6.05 – Drink another cup of water and start stretching (foam rolling or yoga) 6.25 – Eat a fruit (banana, apple..anything in lying around the house) 6.30 – Workout routine (Stronglift 5x5) 7.00 – Protein shake, shower and get ready for work 7.20 – Eat breakfast and browse news 7.55 – Go to work
  3. As it's the beginning of the new fiscal year, I want to start off with a clean slate. I would like to start off by creating a flexible routine, which I hope to follow through to the best of my abilities. I shall commit daily to; wake up and get out of bed at the decided time (6.00 for a work day). drink at least 2L of water or tea consume 5 meals a day (maintain 40-80% fullness throughout the day) meditate for 20 minutes a day spend 30 minutes on Life purpose (LP) and journal spend 30 minutes studying Japanese commit weekly to; work-out at least 3 times socialise among friends and create at least 1 new friend cook/prep 3 home meals practice a musical instrument twice watch Leo's weekly video contact family members and friends commit monthly to; clean/maintain my living and work space assess my financial situation travel to a new place try something new (activity) relax at the onsen (Japanese hot spring, there's one in my town ) Hopefully if I stick to this schedule I won't have time to do these things, but things to avoid for me are; Excessive time on SM (more than 30 mins a day) Excessive thinking, especially with negative thinking Games Porn manga
  4. Hello fellow self-developers and casual browsers, Thank you for spending your precious time on my journal. I look forward to learning from each other and growing as individuals in this community (Hence feel free to comment/pm me at anytime). I'll end the first post with a brief summary of how I got into self-development.
  5. Euro-asian here. There's no clear studies indicating to real genetic advantages, but there's likely to be a cultural/environmental advantages if you're brought up in a healthy and diverse environment (could apply to anybody). I would say mixed race people of all ethnicity deal with more complicated racial issues on an individual and societal level, which doesn't often affect mono-racials. I recently read a book by Sharon H Chang (the first one written by a multi-asian person on this topic) which deals with these issues. 'Raising Mixed Race: Multiracial Asian Children in a Post-Racial World (New Critical Viewpoints on Society)'. A must read if you're part of or involved with the demographic.
  6. Name: Alex Age: 23 Gender: Male Location: British citizen living in Japan Occupation: Assistant language teacher Marital Status: Dating Kids: No Hobbies: personal development, exploring, meditation, learning, nature, environment, working out, reading, playing taiko, I got into personal development 3 years ago, when I fell into a depressive state after almost losing my mother and brother to a hurricane. I was doing my last year at university at the time and had a hard time focusing on my studies and maintaining a routine. I got into personal development through reading some self-help books and joining the pickup community. I managed to scrape through university with a degree and flew straight over to Japan to work as an Assistant Language teacher. Personal challenges I've overcome (chronologically): -Fear of heights -Coming to terms with my bi-racial identity -Used to be very shy, introverted, and socially awkward -Used to be emotional unstable and hide my emotions -No self confidence -Attracting women What I'm working on now: -Self criticism/ condemnation -Finding a life purpose -Working on enlightenment -Working-out and reaching for my physical potential Working on being more authentic in relating to others Working on growing
