Dont be so hard on yourself. Its counter intuitive, but Love yourself through that failure. What did you learn? Something that may help is just building momentum with small things, saying hi, making eye contact, etc.. for some, jumping straight to asking someone out can seem like an impossible hurdle to pass. I see a deeper issue is your fear of being rejected or called out for expressing what you authentically want (asking her out,) as well as a deeper fear "she would never date me." I could be wrong so correct me if so. Also, how do you feel about yourself and life in general? if you feel good about yourself, and your life, being social and connecting with people becomes easier, you have a foundation to stand on, so to speak.

Maybe you’ll arrive at one specific skill you want to master, but to get there may take time and trial and error, and there may be many, 5-10+ Ancillary skills to develop proficiency in. For me, after 4 years of pursuing/creating life purpose, I have arrived at songwriting as the skill I want to master, BUT, there are many other skills I need to ace my life purpose, such as live performance, marketing, social media content creation, music production, and each of those could be broken down into “micro skills.” Take Leo for instance. His domain of mastery (as of 2015) is personal development, we could call that the “one skill.” But there are a lot of other skills included in his life purpose package. Video editing, speaking on camera, web design, and so on.

Selectively closed minded. Generally open to a lot of things, but can get triggered/instinctively closed off to some people and ideas. Integrity: saying I’ll do something, and not doing it, usually small things, (telling my partner I gotta go, so I can make music, doing it for 5 minutes then watching a movie instead.) Comparing myself to others. Judging of myself and others.

Hadn't thought of the heat, that would definitely degrade the quality. I usually have my backpack with me so that's my go to, car is backup.

Still on track with my diet, still no added sugars, gluten, dairy, fried foods, or processed junk. The closest I came was eating Thai food with my family. its been almost 4 weeks since I started, since I made the decision.

Warning, this is kinda graphic. Experienced a bike crash a week ago, skinned up my elbow, here is how it has healed since then! Night of.. Today! I find it fascinating how the body heals, there is a world of difference between now and a week ago not just in how it looks, but the pain is almost all gone. INCREDIBLE!

This song is also a proclamation of who I want to be, I grew up with people pleasing as my go to survival strategy, its taken years to get to where I am now, the degree to which I dont care what others think and can be authentic, and I still have farther to go. RIGHT!? There is so much, on further reflection, there's a lot of insight into IDEOLOGY! That runs so much of the show, as well as cult psychology. Also interesting to try and place people on the spiral, what stage they are at based on the values they show.

I have some experience with this. Currently, 9 days out of 10, I wont go on my phone till my morning routine is done (around an hour and 55 minutes,) my phone usage is around 1.3 hours a day, using it for music, texting, facetiming parents and friends, total time on YouTube is around 30 minutes a week, no social media. There are a few different levels to this, and multiple ways to approach it so I will share what has worked for me. Mental/Mindset Layer. Big Picture: Bring awareness to the issue, the consequences and potential results. Then create a vision of what you want in your life, leading you to make a CLEAR, WELL INFORMED, DECISION. About what you want in your life. What will happen if you dont quit? visualize the worst case scenario and write it out, 1 year from now, 5 years from now, etc.. This will help your you mind realize why its not in its best interest to continue the way it has. WHY Do you want to quit? This needs to be really clear, without understanding why you are quitting, why would you? especially when the mind tries to seduce us into checking it, this WHY will ground you. What are the costs of breaking your addiction to your phone/computer? Important! if you cant accept the costs, how can you change? Examples include Losing the easy stimulation when I am bored Cannot use it to escape my self and emotions Boredom/facing boredom etc.. Make a comprehensive list of every way you can think of, that your mind tries to seduce you into checking/using your phone, and watching YouTube, etc.. You have to really WANT to change. Until then, you wont, your decision to stop will be half assed and you'll keep caving, at some point you'll realize "Holy shit, I want to change, I am tired of how things are, how I keep falling into the same traps over and over again, and losing out on what I am capable of." Outer/Technique layer. Big Picture: Sustainably lowering the amount of time you spend on phone, YouTube, social media, etc.. At night, put your phone in your bathroom or kitchen to charge. Make a commitment to finishing X amount of work/practice/routines before checking phone (start small) Expect resistance. Do research into how to quit Slow is best. There really isn't an easy solution to this, it may take years to completely break the addiction, for myself, its taken a LONG time, and its still something I am aware of and working on, and not every day is perfect. However, it is possible, and worth it!
